    I came to learn about fondue on the stove because I have one that can be on the stove or use the Fondue Burner Flame as shown here, so I am grateful to have run into this first because I decided to use the stove first since I didn't know how to use the Burner. I appreciate you and I appreciate the time you took to do this.

    Thank you for the video. How do I recharge the burner, does the lid come off of the bottom bowl or is that as much as it can be taken apart as seen in your video?

    Love the garage door "signal" lol. I'll be keeping an eye out for one of these on my future Goodwill expeditions.

    Hi Bob thanks for the video.
    i have tested these as well and found that if you put a one inch long neck on top of the opening where the flame comes out it causes the stove to draw more air flow and really put out more heat.

    Yep I'm curious as to what kind of fuel he used. I have one of those that I got from goodwill for $4 but it had the pot stand and the ceramic fondue bowl. I used 90% alcohol and it burned great and I got boil bubbles within 5-6 minutes. But I had to put it out before I got a rolling boil. Apparently the smell of the alcohol was giving my wife a headache.

      You can use heet (the fuel treatment) or denatured alcohol. Denatured alcohol is cheap and easily found.

      So what kind fuel should I use? Denatured alcohol?

      Hardware store. Probably Walmart etc. Yellow bottle Heet is kind of popular also.

  • @chilafouxtravis

    Denatured Alcohol is what they recommend but isopropyl alcohol works also. As I'm sure most rubbing alcohol would. Just monitor it and NEVER leave it alone.

      From the blue in the flames I'm pretty sure I used methanol. If I had used rubbing alcohol the flames would have been much more yellow. Thanks for watching my video.

      I came to ask the same thing.
      I am completely new to this concept. Which alcohol is better? What is methanol? Where do you buy it?

    • @chrismurray674
      @chrismurray674 3 года назад

      @@offairhead Methyl Hydrate. You can buy it in the paint section of the hardware store.
