What's crazy about VR is that a 3D game world is ALREADY in 3D, but it's filtered through a flat screen for decades. VR lets you see all the details as intended by 3D artists and designers.
This is how detailed GT7 is... That clock in the car (you noticed it wasn't real time). Well, it is the time of day in game. Meaning, when on track, the clock accurately shows the time of day (i.e. sunset around 8ish, in this case). If you zoom in on individual car headlights/taillights you can see the little raised lettering displaying the manufacturing codes. If you have tire wear on, you can drive around a track, and watch your tread disappear until it looks like a slick tire. Insanely detailed game. It's actually incredible that they are able to include 500 cars in this much detail. Staggering.
I hope all these content creators keep these videos coming so that the medium can get bigger. But honestly, trying to show this medium on a 2d format really doesn't do it justice. You guys really got to try vr, trust me it's worth the price. And it's a lot cheaper when you compare it to other high end vr.
I had the PSVR1 in 2016 and I was saying this is the future then and It was not even close to PSVR2 powered by the PS5.I'm glad more contents creators spread the words that VR is insane.But Newcomers still have to put the headset on to really understand what VR is all about.They will acknowledge that 550USD is very cheap to play ping pong,mini golf,graffiti,car racing, etc in the most realistic and immersive way!
Yeah they do have it on PCVR where you can go to all different landmarks throughout the world it's pretty insane man glad you're loving VR I tried it for the 1st time 3 years ago and still can't get over that feeling when you 1st jump back in it's nuts

Just too much of a hassle setting it up, but early reviews were positive, from the CES show, and so I preordered. One of my best ever purchases. Gobsmacking.
It sucks. I'm sending mine back. Previously I had a quest two and at first it was mind-blowing but I quickly realized that VR will never replace 2D. 2D is more fun, more comfortable, and provides just as big of a dopamine hit as vr. So I got rid of my quest but I've decided to give it one more try. Psvr 2 is no better than the quest 2, the quest to is actually easier to set up your play boundary, and you don't have this stupid cord hanging off of your shoulder all day. Games like horizon call of the mountain where crystal clear and looked good. But still no more fun than just playing regular horizon forbidden West on a flat screen. Also games like call of the mountain and resident evil village looked crystal clear the game everyone's been hyping Gran Turismo 7 is far from clear. Like when playing through the resident evil village demo it took me about 20 minutes and it was a major chore and a headache, and doesn't even provide one more iota of a dopamine it to your brain... It's more fun just to play in 2D. I do not wear glasses nor do I have bad eyesight but no matter how many ways I adjusted if the speedometer and tachometer and all that is always going to be unclear and blurry, so our cars that are more than a hundred yards away. When you're right up on them they're clear but if they're further than a hundred yards away they are not clear despite how much people have been hyping it. It's misleading, gt7 is not any more fun to play in vr then it is flat screen, and what you see in this RUclips video does not come close to representing what it looks like under the headset. I don't know why Gran Turismo 7 is so blurry when other games are not? Either way whether it's blurry or not it's more fun to just play on a 2d screen. it's actually more fun to play it in flat screen, because you don't have to set up your headset every time you play, you don't have to constantly push the pass-through button when you need to answer the phone, or see where one of your controllers are at, or see what your dog is doing, and you don't always have this stupid wire hanging over your shoulder. It's just better in 2d. Vr sounds great and you would think it would be awesome, but it's not it's just a fad. And I'm sending mine back. Buyer beware, these people are overhyping gt7. It's nowhere near as clear as it is in this RUclips video, nor is it anywhere near as fun as they try to make it out to be. To be honest I will take this game in 2D over 3D anytime, and I'd rather be playing Forza 5 on my series x than gt7 anyways. This VR headset is not worth the $580 you'll pay after taxes.
