7:23 She said that there are certain religions that clearly promote not marrying outside their religion. I want to say that goes for true Christian’s as well. In this society we have normalized mixing of beliefs and I believe that caused the increase in both divorce rates and leaving the faith or church.
The LORD speaks plainly here, read this.
”Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.“
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬-‭17‬
Your core beliefs and values and growth in your faith and understanding the will of God is the heart of the believer and Jesus said that who ever does the will of my father is my brother and sister and mother. Whoever does the will of the father will enter the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus said you will know them by their fruits. Their speech their behavior as such. If they reject his teachings and do not follow after him then you know where their hearts and minds are.

I married my husband because we have the same belief. Just 2yrs of marriage and he decided to change .
Now we have so much disbelief, disagreements, lack of unity.
We can’t even pray together as before because our prayer pattern now differs.
I feel so hurt, tired of the marriage because I don’t what the future hold
No more unity , how can I deal with these

I was left after 35 yrs of marriage by someone who I didn't recognize. Who left his religion. And no longer cared about the commitment we once made before GOD. Who didn't honor in sickness & in health , for richer or for pourer, until death due us apart. It is heart breaking and devastating but my GOD and my faith were with me before him & will be with me after him until I am called home!

Sounds like the big problem was not his religious beliefs or lack but their lack of support for a spouse (you.). It is possible to be both non-religious and moral.

@@althesmith that reply actually makes sense to me. I do not understand these religious people that are on social media ,complaining about their past relationships. Once they are with God whatever happens is never their fault. It's someone else's fault. They move on but yet still mention it.

My opinion is noone really knows what's out there and anyone who claims to has a line of goods they want to sell you. As far as marriage falling apart over the religion question, well, sure, if that's the hill you decide to die on. If your values apart from religion are close enough, if you can't get to the "agree to disagree" phase, imho you just haven't progressed mentally past adolescence.

Its nice to finally see a comment like this! These videos are flooded with such one sided arguments. It's as if "non-believers" aren't seen as the person you love. Many just look at them for what they believe in and that's it. That their lack of or different beliefs will drive you to sin. If you view your significant other this way, then of course it won't work! You're not even seeing them as an individual with complex thoughts and feeling about the world around them.

    • @MarriageHelper

As Melody said, the key to love is ACCEPTANCE. Agreeing to disagree is another way to say that! But it comes back to what you personally believe is right and what is true! Don't change your own beliefs and values to fit the views of your spouse. They fell in love with you because of who you are! So stay true to yourself and try to avoid criticizing their beliefs and values!

I found a beautiful woman, who is kind compassionate and has respect for my Christian beliefs, she's even will to go to church every now and then.

@@mansipandya262 honestly we ended up deciding this relationship would not be the best I'm a Christian, she's not the Bible is very clear about it.
But I think the thing that we both realised, is that there is a while side of me she will never understand not that I can fully express to her. And I don't think that fair on both of us. So we have peacefully parted ways. Still kinda suxs thoe. But is what it is.
