Nice look around, and you are wise doing brakes and handling before engine and upgrades. More people should look at it that way, but I am sure they do when searching for 90s Honda now adays. God Bless.
Love this car and it’s survivor condition! Sounded just like my old Prelude on startup! Enjoy riding in that thing…jealous! Would love to find one that original and clean.
It is absolutely beautiful! What a unicorn! Looks identical from the outside like the 1992 Civic DX that I bought new. I loved the clamshell tailgate and brought home most of the lumber for my deck and all the landscape timbers with that car. I had about 180K miles on it before I totaled it in a car accident.
@@GooseWurkz I paid $10,100 for the car (only options a/c and passenger mirror), had the car 9 years, put 180K miles on it, and insurance still valued it at $4K. The car didn't owe me anything, but I still loved that little car.
This is civic goals, only thing I'd do different is a nixe head unit 2 modernise the interior rather than the block off. But I gotta subsribe...beautiful car man wow. I got an Ek3Vi Sedan and I would love to do similar suspension setup, already did the lower control arms and subframe brace in the rear!
Nice car..... something for you to think about is you may want to go with a B series engine since it fits the era of this car and it drops in without cutting any mounts or cutting a hole for the shifter assembly. If you are worried about price of a B series consider looking into LS VTEC or B20 VTEC. The K series is a taller engine which affects center of gravity and was designed for Hondas where the engine can sit higher ( higher hood line, newer crash regulations). This chassis was designed around B and D series engines and I trust the Honda engineers. The B series also fits the theme of the build that you are going with ( called a restomod) where you improve small things without reengineering and refabricating the car completely. Yes I know people do Kswaps all the time but the B series will ensure that you don't cut up the car just for an engine swap when the B series is plug and play and is more than capable for track use. Wish you all the best with this build.
Wow! It honestly makes me sad to see cars common in my childhood becoming "antique vehicles", but such is life. The fact that these are becoming rare is also a bummer. I bought my 2020 Civic Hatch CVT brand new and it already has 40k on the clock. I have a feeling that the 10th gen hatchbacks are going to be rare as well, since A I just don't see a whole lot of them to begin with, and B they get riced just like these old school ones, even the CVT ones get modded as tastefully as a graffitied Chicago wall.
I had a DX and the car comes with AC from factory but not with Power steering. So maybe you got that mixed up. Nevertheless, great car. Looking forward to the completion of this build.
Previous owner bought it without AC. They bought the parts and installed it themselves, I have receipts and install manual from when they did it. Glad your liking the build, big news coming next week! :D
If you watched the video I stated i'm swapping it over to manual, I also have other videos on my channel showing all the parts for the conversion process and the new engine, check them out.
@@GooseWurkz yeup i heard yu say that i meant .change it over with haste lol..jks..can barely find a clean one here in toronto or the rest of canada because of the winter weather
@@amirmurray9916 Don't worry man I feel you, It took me 6 months of searching every day online to find this one, otherwise it was a manual for either double the price or one in horrible condition, but the conversion is super easy, stay tuned! Thanks for watching :)
EH2 = 1992-1995 USDM, EG6 = 1992-1995 JDM Civic SiR/SiRII hatch, but lets be honest, everyone just calls it a EG, including every company that sells parts.
Thanks!
Just picked up a 95 in Norcal, Literally identical. Just some door damage / front fender. Phantom gray etc. 80k miles. Clean title. Only paid $500
Wow that’s crazy cheap in this market, congrats!

Rare to find these this clean and original! Take care of her and keep up the work!
That's the plan! The best has yet to come! Big updates coming soon :)
Love the build so far. You're playing to the car's strengths.
Thank you, appreciate the kind words.
Simple and fully functional, love it!
Can’t wait to see the k20 swap!
Coming with the help of my c2specmotoring harness, full videos of the install of that coming soon!
Looking real good, done with much love and thoughtfulness!

sweet. I hope you plan on leaving it stock and taking care of it.
Thank you!
Eg6 beauty…..folks are looking for these cars all over the place. Bring it back with no added electronics….
Agree!
Not eg6. Eg6 is only JDM sir
@@abcwarrior91 for the cars not jdm, 92 to 95 civic hatchbacks…

Nice EG! Like your brake upgrade. Thanks for your video👍
Thanks for watching!
Not bad nicely done. I'm doing the same 50/50 build with Ek hacth but went with B20V though.
Thanks! Good luck with your build!
Great car. I had an all original 97 Civic Hatch. Also automatic, but with 160k miles and the paint was nowhere as nice as yours. Color me jealous 😁
Very cool, I love EK's as well!

I have a 1993 Honda Civic EG SI Alteza Green 100% stock. 121,000 miles ( original ) miles.
That’s awesome, hold onto it!
Sweet! Looking forward to more Civic content!
More to come!
That hatch cover is so hard to find in decent condition.

I’m in the Vegas, would you sell the wheels and tires?
How does the asr revolver trailing arm bushing feel on the streets? I've always used the hard rubber.
Thanks,
I don't even notice it, its 100% streetable.
Noice, let me do a few more things to the e46 then i wana track it with you. right now it would probably blow up lmfao 220 on the clock
I’m doing my motor swap next year so you got a little time, but I’ll hold you to it!
Recaro seats SR3 direct bolt in.
What did you use on the hub caps ?? They look brand new
First Layer is Matte Black Plasti Dip, 2nd Layer is Bright Aluminum Metalizer Plasti Dip.
Nice, going to try it.
Thanks for the reply
Smaller brake master will give you more peddle travel but more force/pressure applied to the pads

Sell the 1.5 and transmission for some light 15" wheels
Check my other videos, K20 Type R already in the garage waiting to get installed.
It is a eh2 not an eg civic
Technically correct but the world calls it an EG
no tint??
Not for a track car.

Yes building it for time attack and auto x@@kelvinlee7956

too much
