OMG I love how proud, stoked, and happy you are as her father, you can here all of this in your 'oh yerr', left a hug smile on my face. Big up to your kid also!
My dad got me into skiing, and the one thing that kept me from quitting and helped me push forward and become a better skier was my dads encouragement and pride in my abilities. He ALWAYS hyped me up, and honestly he still does even though I’m a grown adult lol. Like I’ll duck into some glades and he’ll sit there cheering me on and it’s what pushes me through a lot of the time. Keep doing what your doing, I have no doubt that your daughter absolutely adores you.
@mezmerya5130 Seen worse in my lifetime. You can't let these potential risks stop from trying something. If you're committed to getting better, you're going to have to deal with this and face your fears. Doubt is what will actually get you hurt up in the mountain.
Back in 1975, at 17, I tried skiing in Gatlinburg. Took resort class & got on bunny slope. So scared I slid down on my behind. (I’m ROFL at the memory.) Quite jealous & amazed at how little kids make feel even more guilty of not trying again 😂🤣😂🏆 Mind you, I was raised in Lubbock TX. Only hills we had were manmade hwy overpasses 😂🤣🤷🏼♀️
When I was skiing at 8 we still had lace-up boots and bear-trap cable bindings which would allow your heal to lift and release unexpectedly. No one would have even considered letting me do this run. Modern equipment makes it possible, but proper instruction and encouragement makes it happen. Great job dad! But don’t tell her about squirrel suits and parachutes.
Thanks for all the positive comments everyone- I’m still pumped! Watching the video for the first time on my phone I thought the “oh yeah” sounded pretty corny until it dawned on me that I said that😂
If you lived in JH and your kid liked to ski it wouldn’t matter if you’d put them in a dangerous situation or not they would go ski it anyway. Better to be there teaching them the right way to do it. Have a great day!
? It’s only dangerous if the child is without guidance or training or supervision. You can’t just push a kid off corbets they obviously started their child really young and felt safe enough to let her try it. As a Jackson local this is pretty common.
@@Janae2000 ya.... ok. i understand what you are implying. but.... ive been boarding w my daughter dozens of times... i have had very close calls w her on blue runs... all im saying is that it just takes a couple seconds for something awful to happen. im an experienced snowboarder and i myself have had bad accidents on things i figured were simple. if it can happen to me at 42 then it can happen to her at 9. still wanna go back n forth?
As someone who isn’t good at downhill sports like this; it’s frikkin sick to look into the distance and get scared myself; but watch you amp her up all the way and cheer kiddo on. That’s some great big poppa skills my guy 👏🔥
Bro turned into Adam Sandler lmfao

It left a smile hugging my face 😉🥲
She’s an amazing skier already! Awesome job Dad!

Heartwarming to see dads being so supportive of their daughters trying new adventures 😊
This is the instructional video I send to my friends who are thinking of doing corbets 😂
That's a great motivator- "You gonna let an 8 year old girl out-ski you??"

What a boss
No, CEO
Maybe it's because I didn't ski until I was 28 but I will NEVER know what it's like to be this fearless.
You just do it. Don't think just go. A lot of times, we overthink. That's what stops you from really trying something
@@bloodynachos have you seen open ankle twist break? bone protrusion and all?

@@bloodynachos good for you. I've seen world champ qualified professionals leaving even recreational skiing after such events.
She got more cajones than 99.9% of skiers on the mountain! Badass
I never understand why people say that about kids. They don't know death.
Yeah
@@cccEngineer mostly no adults living know death either. Not until they’ve flatlined and been resuscitated.

@@cccEngineer ?? I knew death before my 5th birthday. Idk what you’re on about.
"FEARLESS!" AWSOME!!!!

Great instructor. Dad is a good teacher. Hands forward. Body facing the fall line. Feet doing the steering. Well done.
being a kid was fearless
skiing with my dad was the best time of my life.
BIG fist bump to you and your daughter! Awesome!
I think my little one could do this. I showed her this and she said ‘I can do that too daddy’ amazing. Great stuff showing the little’uns bossing it.

Good Girl, well done! 😊
Good job! It's really filled in their year
Beginning as a child, first skiing, second walking. Was the same as me, wen I was young.
Never ever change, girl.
Just wait 'til she's 18..! Stand back, dad.

you have no idea what you are talking about lol. i was skiing runs like that at 9-10 years old because i was good enough to. she obviously is as well
At 8 was learning to ride my Schwinn Stingray and mowing a lawn not skiing down a black diamond run.
Shes very brave👏
Yeah gimme skis that short I’ll do it like that! TOTALLY JOKING way to CRUSH IT Kiddo!
