  • This is my very first attempt at a watch review! I'm using this as a test to see how uploading and sharing works etc. I know I've missed off some important information ie like the 200m water resistance :) I will hopefully get better as I get more familiar with everything. Any feedback on video quality and content would be very much welcomed. This is a great watch and if nothing else you can spend 15 minutes admiring its beauty :) Thanks

Great video. This is my one watch. I wear it in the ocean, hiking, snowboarding, traveling, going out to dinner, at work at my desk, at work digging in the dirt in my yard. I sleep with the thing on, it's practically become a piece of me. This watch is what Rolex used to be. High quality no nonsense tool watch.

I can certainly see how this could be in a “one watch” collection! “High quality, no nonsense “ as you say! I’ve also been sleeping in mine and used to hate sleeping with a watch one! 😊👍

I concur. I had a 856A and currently have a 556IB, but I’m looking really hard at the 556A. Great legibility, crown guards, drilled lugs. The 556 has everything one would want in a three-hand tool watch and nothing you would not.

Me encanto con la correa blanca, gracias por mostrarlo.

I own this watch’s big brother, the 856. Spectacular piece that is highly reliable and extremely robust. Can be a ‘one and done’ watch

If my wrist was a little bigger I’d be really interested in the 856, great watch and yes it definitely could be a “one and done” 👍

Beautiful watch. I prefer it on the bracelet but as you say, it's versatile.

Actually have it back on the bracelet today myself! 😊👍

Boy, that low-key date window just disappears on that dial! I already have the dressier 556 IB, but I’ve been Jonesing for the simpler 556 A.

@@Time_and_time_again You're very welcome. Nice is nice. I appreciate your effort to share your watch with us. I also like it that you put the watch on an unusual strap, which is quite cool for a tool watch.

Blind-flying instructor =/= blind flying instructor. Helmut Sinn did lose a couple of fingers in the war, but not his eyesight. I would imagine winning rally races and designing watches would be quite difficult to do blind.

Im quoting directly from the sinn website history section who say he was “a blind flying instructor” not sure what they mean by that then but thanks for the info 🙏👍

@@Time_and_time_again Blind flying is an aviation term, it's when you have to fly based on cockpit instrument information when outside visual cues like terrain or horizon are not visible. Anyways nice review and enjoy the watch, the 556A is such an icon!

Can you do a watch comparison between sinn and Christopher ward sealander c63? I understand they use the same sellita sw200 movement. Sinn is more expensive than cw even thoughi belibe they are comparable in quality. I'm debating between sinn and cw watch. I hope your honest opinion will help me. Thanks

Hi, I don’t have them to hand anymore but I would say that the Sinn is just the perfect Watch for me! The sealander is a great watch but I wouldn’t hesitate to choose the Sinn. Hope this helps 🙏👍

Thanks and sorry for the delayed response! It’s actually under £5 from eBay and is listed as a Samsung smartwatch band! So sorry I have only just spotted this question! I prefer the 556a as I like the Matt dial and numbers as opposed to the lacquered dial and no numerals 🙏👍

Sinn prices are ridiculous these days. Buy a Christopher Ward instead.

Yeah they are always creeping up aren’t they! I actually bought a few CW and have reviewed those too 👍
