*The Stony Stronghold of Targul Quarry* Nestled amidst the jagged hills to the east of Ered Mithrin, the Targul Quarry stands as both a testament to Dwarven ingenuity and a silent witness to the struggles of Middle-earth's Third Age. Hewn from the bedrock by the tireless hands of Erebor's masons, this vast quarry served as a vital source of stone for the halls and fortifications of the Lonely Mountain. Its walls rise like the teeth of a great beast, jagged and imposing, and within its depths echo the labors of ages long past. The quarry's importance lay not only in its mineral wealth but also in its strategic position. Guarding a key pass through the rugged highlands, Targul served as a bulwark against incursions from the East. Its narrow paths and towering cliffs made it a natural fortress, one that could be defended by a determined force against even the greatest of armies. Yet this same isolation made it vulnerable; supplies and reinforcements could not easily reach its defenders, and its fall would leave the surrounding lands exposed. During the later years of the Third Age, Targul Quarry became a focal point in the struggles between the Free Peoples and the shadow of Mordor. Orcs, trolls, and men enslaved to Sauron's will sought to claim its stony bastions, driven by the Dark Lord's desire to choke off the Dwarves' supply lines and lay bare the defenses of Erebor. The stormy weather of this region added to its foreboding nature, with frequent rains turning the quarry floor into a treacherous mire and lightning storms illuminating its dark recesses. The quarry was more than a battlefield; it was a place imbued with the spirit of the Dwarves who had shaped it. Each stone bore the mark of their craft, and the very walls seemed to hum with the memory of their songs. Here, the Dwarves of Erebor poured their strength into both creation and defense, holding fast against the darkness that sought to engulf them. The Targul Quarry stands as a symbol of resilience, a place where the indomitable spirit of the Free Peoples shone brightest amidst the deepest shadow.
Hrm. We'll need more details, like your OS and version and some basics about your hardware like CPU, RAM, graphics card, etc. For what it's worth, I had to first get the patch launcher installed and working, then use the launcher to install BFME II. I then did a quick launch of BFME II to make sure it worked as expected, and then used the launcher to install RotWK. After all of that, then you can use the patch launcher to install the AotR mod, but when you do it'll just pop up with an install utility that will guide you through the rest of the install. I had to install AotR 8.0 first, and then install the 8.3.1 patch on top of that before everything was ready. Keep us posted on your progress!
@LetsBFME windows 11 latest version And ryzen 9 7945 HX Radeon 610M / Nvidia GeForce 4070 Laptop GPU graficcard 32gb RAM I use the all in one bfme launcher and do like it tells me to. But at the step where I've downloaded the 6gb age of the ring mod, unzipped it ...everzmything fine I have to open the exe data as administrator and then nothing happens. Normally it has to open a shortcut window
That is a head-scratcher for sure, as you definitely have a system that should have no issues installing and playing this game. Let me ask you this; how do the standard BFME games run for you? In other words, can you play the original/stock BFME 1, BFME 2, and RotWK games without any issues, even for just a few minutes? Getting RotWK working properly is a prerequisite to installing the AotR mod, or in other words you have no hope of getting AotR to install and run unless you can play RotWK without any issues first.
@LetsBFME first thank you for helping me :D. Didn't tried bfme 1 but 2 and rotwk are working without any problems. I can change the patch as the launcher tells me too to install aotr. Next step is downloading the 6gb aotr data and just install it, but the installer won't open the shortcut after running it as admin. Im not so into pc stuff so I'm really frustrated

Are you running any virus scanning software? If I’m remembering correctly, you may need to disable it and OK a warning before it will install.
