Rings of power characters also include like lindon.... Pls play as lindon🙏🏻
I'm not sure what you mean by this. I can only play as characters and factions that are included in the games or mods. I never create or play custom heroes.
@LetsBFME age of the ring 8.3.1 mod, there is Lindon group like mordor/Gondor
Waiting for more videos with (rohan/gondor /rivendel / lothern / erebor ) combinations against evil

Definitely battle of middle earth game EA owns it.
Question: why does the IA always go to attack first your IA ally? Playing like that is kinda weird right? like the IA don't put preasure on your base and resourses? Also another question, (no hate) but focusing only on defensive the mayority of the match makes the video too long, i know it's a valid strategy, but some times it turns out quite boring.
Thanks for the input. The AI will do what the AI will do. It's a very old game, and it's not super intelligent or sophisticated in terms of strategy. It seems to want to gang up on one player at a time, and when I'm playing with a coop AI player it seems to always pick on that player. It's just old and quirky and not very smart, and I don't have much more to say about that. As for my own style of playing, it's just the way I tend to think when playing strategy games. It's similar to a real-world sort of capture-and-hold strategy, whereby I capture a little of the board at a time, do my best to hold it, and eventually win through attrition. I'll admit it might not be as exciting as other twitchy players online, and you'd be right for pointing that out. It's just the way I play as an older player, and as there's no end of other channels offering twitchy gameplay, I like to think I offer something a little different and maybe even a little relaxing to put on the background while studying or working.
@@LetsBFME Totally get it and its very remarcable that you do everything you can to keep your units alive (the mayority of them get to the highest lvl) and not do wave after wave. And yes, making long gameplays can help to relax and sometimes you can pick some good micromanegment that can help other players improve. I'm also an old player, bought the BFME2 original in cd when it came out. Just pointed that about the IA in coop that makes the game not that challenging, and the rest, yeah, it's just personal preference. But very good content for sure!!! Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
@@LetsBFME yes totally very good content.... My few more suggestions, using catapults with fire mode behind our units... To attack our enemy units. After instead of creating more fortress, why u not make 2 tier walls around our area with fire catapults to hold enemy forces... It will be great to see, enemies are crushing behind walls (1 wall with towers and another one with catapults)
👌🏻😊
The Best game

I thought my Death March AI opponents were pretty tough, although I was playing with a friendly Death March AI which definitely helped.
where can I find this map?
It’s a stock map that comes with either BFME II or RotWK.
*The Hidden Heights and Shadows of Taur-na-Faroth* Taur-na-Faroth, a name whispered with reverence and awe, lies nestled in the northwestern reaches of Eriador, not far from the Havens of Mithlond. These rugged hills, clad in an endless expanse of greenwood and grey stone, hold secrets as old as Middle-earth itself. Once part of the vast realm of Beleriand, this region escaped the cataclysm that saw its lands submerged beneath the waves in the First Age. Its resilience in the face of such upheaval left it a bastion of wild beauty and ancient history, preserved against the slow decay of time. The geography of Taur-na-Faroth is a striking tapestry of contrasts. Steep cliffs and narrow ravines carve through the landscape, their faces covered with moss and lichen. Hidden streams flow in secret courses, tumbling into crystal pools that glimmer like starlight caught in the embrace of the forest. Great oaks and elms tower over the land, their roots gripping the earth as if to anchor it against the tides of history. Beneath these arboreal sentinels lie shadowy glades, thick with bracken and ferns, where silence reigns, broken only by the distant call of a nightingale or the whisper of the wind. Once a haven for the Noldor in the days of their exile, Taur-na-Faroth became a refuge of Elvenkind after the fall of Doriath and Nargothrond. The woods bore the echoes of ancient songs and the light of the Eldar lingered in its glens. Yet, with the rise of Sauron and the spread of his malevolent influence from Dol Guldur, the hills became a contested frontier, a shield against the encroaching shadow. The Elves of the Woodland Realm, though far removed from their kin in Lindon and Rivendell, held fast to this land as a bulwark against the growing darkness. The strategic significance of Taur-na-Faroth is not to be underestimated. Positioned near key routes leading westward, it serves as a natural barrier against invasions seeking to exploit the gaps between Rivendell and the Grey Havens. The terrain, with its dense underbrush and treacherous cliffs, is a nightmare for invading armies, offering the defenders a substantial advantage. Small, swift-moving Elven forces, masters of ambush and precision strikes, could operate with deadly effectiveness here, their knowledge of the land unmatched by any foe. The shadow of Dol Guldur, however, brought change to Taur-na-Faroth. Orcs and creatures of darker ilk began probing its defenses, seeking to extend their master's dominion. The skirmishes that followed were bloody and fierce, leaving scars upon the land and its defenders. Yet the Elves of the Woodland Realm, drawing strength from their ancient ties to the forest and their unyielding resolve, held firm. Each battle fought here became a tale of valor and sacrifice, woven into the tapestry of Middle-earth's history. Taur-na-Faroth stands as a symbol of resistance, a testament to the enduring spirit of those who would defy the shadow. Its hills and valleys are steeped in the echoes of the past, the whispers of the First Age mingling with the cries of battle from the Third. Here, amidst the overcast skies and timeless trees, the struggle for Middle-earth plays out, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, light may yet prevail.

*The Fords of Loudwater: A Crossroad of Light and Shadow* The Fords of the Loudwater, nestled amidst the rugged terrain of Eriador, stand as a vital passage and natural barrier within the lands bordering Rivendell. Known also by its Sindarin name, Bruinen, this river is a lifeline to the Elves of Imladris, both for its beauty and its strategic importance. Its waters, fed by snowmelt from the Misty Mountains, rush with a silvery sheen, reflecting the light of sun and stars alike. The river’s path, winding and unpredictable, creates natural defenses for those who would safeguard the peaceful vale beyond. The ford itself, a place where the river runs shallow and passable, is guarded by steep cliffs and dense thickets that offer vantage points for archers. Its crossing is not easily won, for the waters are enchanted by Elven craft. In times of peril, the Loudwater has served as a bulwark against the dark tide of foes, responding to the will of its keepers to rise in great, furious waves that crush invaders. Yet, its power is not boundless, and its guardians must still defend its banks with sword and bow. In ages past, the ford bore witness to many a grim encounter. Travelers seeking Rivendell’s sanctuary were often harried by orcs and wolves lurking in the shadows of the Trollshaws. It was here that the boundaries of Elven influence were most keenly tested, as Rivendell remained an island of light in a sea of growing darkness. The Goblins of the Misty Mountains, with their cunning and cruelty, often sought to wrest control of the ford, knowing it to be a key to Rivendell's heart. The geography of the region adds to its tactical complexity. The cliffs overlooking the ford are jagged and forbidding, yet they provide a vantage point for those with the skill to climb. The riverbanks, though seemingly tranquil, conceal treacherous mud and shifting stones that can ensnare the unwary. To hold the ford is to command the passage, but to lose it is to invite peril into the very heart of Imladris. Thus, the Fords of the Loudwater endure as more than a mere crossing; they are a symbol of resilience and vigilance. Their defense is a task both arduous and noble, demanding the unyielding strength of those who dwell in Rivendell and their unshakable resolve to preserve the light against the encroaching shadow.
How often does Tolkien reference elves riding horses? Id love to hear more about it.
Tolkien references Elves riding horses on several occasions, often emphasizing their grace, skill, and close bond with their steeds. Here are three notable examples from his works: *Glorfindel and Asfaloth (The Fellowship of the Ring, Book 1, Chapter 12)* Glorfindel, an Elf-lord of Rivendell, rides the swift and sure-footed horse Asfaloth. The horse's exceptional speed and responsiveness are highlighted when it carries Frodo to safety across the Ford of Bruinen, demonstrating the deep bond and mutual understanding between Elf and horse. *Legolas and Arod (The Two Towers, Book 3, Chapter 2)* Legolas, though initially unaccustomed to riding, demonstrates his Elvish grace and adaptability when riding Arod, a horse provided by the Riders of Rohan. His lightness and natural connection to the animal are emphasized, reflecting the Elves' harmonious relationship with living creatures. *The Host of the Eldar at the Nirnaeth Arnoediad (The Silmarillion, Chapter 20)* During the Nirnaeth Arnoediad ("Battle of Unnumbered Tears"), the Elves of Hithlum ride into battle mounted, showcasing their valor and mastery as cavalry. This highlights the Elves’ martial prowess and their use of horses in strategic warfare.
this must be a mod i dont remember this when it released haha
It is indeed! This is the Age Of The Ring mod for the Rise Of The Witch-King game, which are all available for download using the links in the description on this video.
Are you using lossless scaling? If you are can you share settings somehow?
I do not use the Lossless Scaling utility on Steam, AMD Fluid Motion Frames, or any other similar real-time method of frame generation. The games are hard-coded to run at 30 FPS, and so strictly speaking I play and record them at 30 FPS. I then use a technique called optical flow frame generation during post production to bring the final product up to 60 FPS.
Would it be possible to install this mod alongside BFME 2 and Rise of the Witch King on a MacBook Pro? It look's amazing!
That's a tough one, as I don't use a Mac and the original games were never released for or supported on a Mac. Some basic Googling suggests that you might have luck with something like Whisky (getwhisky.app/) as a free solution, or if you wanted to throw money at it something like CrossOver (www.codeweavers.com/crossover#mac) or Parallels Desktop (www.parallels.com/games/?srsltid=AfmBOoqqdgbqeF2yMAMNnzrZ-Xsmb2cpt_njZBI_uJx-75z4A39m4D2C). I would think that Parallels Desktop would have the most compatibility, but would also be the most expensive option as you not only have to purchase the app itself, but then you also have to purchase a Windows license on top of that. Good luck!
*The Tranquil Vale of Amathûna* Nestled along the southern banks of the Celduin River, Amathûna stands as one of Middle-earth’s lesser-sung gems-a land whose quiet beauty belies its troubled history. Known to the wandering Men of the North as the “Vale of Many Springs,” it is a fertile plain interwoven with glistening streams that descend from the distant foothills of the Ered Mithrin. These waters feed not only the lush greenery of the vale but also its lifeblood as a vital crossroad of trade and settlement. From ancient days, Amathûna has been a site of mingling cultures. Traders and travelers from Dale to the north and Gondor to the west have long passed through its verdant expanse, bearing tales and wares to distant lands. Its people, a hardy yet peaceful folk, tended the fields and fens, thriving amidst their bounty. Yet, this richness made Amathûna a target for marauders and warbands, and thus its history is written as much in blood as in prosperity. Geographically, the vale is defined by its open expanses of rolling fields punctuated by clusters of willows and alders. To the south lie low ridges that mark the beginnings of Haradwaith’s untamed deserts, while the Celduin flows steadily to the north, a shining ribbon against the earth’s green and gold. It is a land that speaks of peace, yet its strategic position between Gondor’s eastern borders and the realms of Harad and Rhûn renders it a constant focal point of conflict. During the latter days of the Third Age, Amathûna bore witness to countless skirmishes and battles, caught between Gondor’s vigilance and the expansionist ambitions of its neighbors. The fords along the Celduin were of particular importance, offering passage for armies and traders alike. Gondor’s engineers fortified these natural chokepoints, raising towers and strongholds to safeguard their dominion. Yet, the Men of Harad, with their mighty mûmakil and ruthless warriors, often tested these defenses, seeking to wrest the vale from its guardians. In a tale that mirrors much of Middle-earth’s sorrow, Amathûna represents both the beauty and the frailty of the world. Its sunlit fields and glimmering waters, once a haven of peace, became a battlefield where the fate of realms was contested. Even as the dust of war settled, its lands bore the scars of strife, a poignant reminder of the price of power and the fleeting nature of peace.
*Celduin’s Vales: Where Beauty Meets the Shadow’s Reach* Nestled between the might of Erebor and the wide expanse of Rhovanion, the Vales of Celduin unfold as a tapestry of contrasting beauty and strategic importance. Known to the Elves as “Kelduin” and rendered in the Common Speech as “River Running,” the Celduin winds its way southward from the Lonely Mountain, nourishing the lands and shaping the lives of those who dwell near its banks. This region, with its verdant slopes, tranquil glades, and meandering waters, has long been a place of trade and travel, where Men, Dwarves, and even the occasional Elf have ventured. Yet, its beauty belies the grim history of conflict that has, time and again, darkened its sunlit paths. The river itself springs from the mountain fastness of Erebor, its headwaters cascading through narrow defiles before widening into the broad and gentle valleys of the Celduin. These vales, nestled between rolling hills and shaded by ancient trees, offer both sustenance and refuge. They have long been cherished by the Men of Dale and the Dwarves of the Lonely Mountain, who have relied upon the river’s bounty for their livelihoods. Boats laden with goods once traversed its waters, carrying the wealth of Erebor and the crafts of Dale to distant lands. The river’s gentle currents, however, mask its potential as a natural barrier, a line of defense against those who might seek to encroach upon these lands. In times of strife, the Vales of Celduin have borne witness to great deeds and grievous sorrows. During the War of the Ring, it was along this river that the shadow of Dol Guldur extended its reach, threatening the peace and prosperity of Dale and Erebor. The proximity of the Vales to the Lonely Mountain rendered them a critical front in the defense against Sauron’s minions, and the Dwarves, with their unyielding courage and mastery of stonecraft, often made their stand here. Yet the beauty of Celduin has also drawn the eye of darker powers, who see in its fertile lands and strategic position a prize to be claimed. Thus, the river’s history is one of constant flux, where the forces of light and shadow vie for supremacy. Beyond its strategic value, the Vales hold a certain melancholic charm. The soft murmurs of the river, the golden hues of the setting sun upon its waters, and the quiet rustle of leaves create an atmosphere of peace that belies the region’s turbulent past. For those who travel its length, the Celduin offers moments of reflection and respite, even amidst the trials of war. It is said that the Dwarves, though practical and stoic, have often paused to admire the river’s beauty, their hearts stirred by its quiet song. Yet, such moments are fleeting, for the shadow of conflict looms ever near, and the vales have learned to endure. In the years following the defeat of Sauron, the Vales of Celduin have begun to heal. The scars of war, though deep, have faded with time, and the river once again flows as a lifeline for the peoples of the north. Yet, the memory of those who fell in its defense lingers, woven into the fabric of the land. Travelers who tread these paths might still hear, in the whisper of the wind or the murmur of the water, echoes of battles fought and lives lost. Thus, the Vales of Celduin stand as a testament to the resilience of Middle-earth’s free peoples, a place where beauty and sorrow coexist, forever entwined in the currents of the River Running.
*The Hidden Majesty of Dimrill Dale* Dimrill Dale, known to the Dwarves as Azanulbizar and to the Elves as Nanduhirion, lies nestled beneath the eastern slopes of the Misty Mountains. This valley, veiled in both beauty and sorrow, holds a place of great significance in the annals of Middle-earth. Its towering cliffs and the reflective waters of Kheled-zâram, the Mirrormere, have long drawn the wonder of those who pass through. The dale serves as the gateway to Khazad-dûm, the ancient Dwarven kingdom later known as Moria, and its tactical and cultural importance cannot be overstated. Historically, Dimrill Dale has been a crossroads of conflict and ambition. The Dwarves, holding the dale as a vital approach to their halls beneath the mountains, have fiercely defended it against encroaching foes. It was here that the Battle of Azanulbizar raged during the War of the Dwarves and Orcs, leaving the valley littered with the remains of countless warriors. The grief of that day lingers in the air, interwoven with the echoes of Khazad-dûm’s former glory. The dale's geography enhances its strategic importance. It is bordered by steep cliffs that limit access to narrow passes, and the Celebrant, or Silverlode, flows through it, providing water to the surrounding lands. Kheled-zâram itself is a sight of unmatched splendor, its surface reflecting the stars even in daylight, imbuing the place with a timeless, otherworldly quality. To the Dwarves, it is sacred, holding a reflection of Durin’s crown, a symbol of their heritage and destiny. The natural splendor of Dimrill Dale contrasts sharply with the dangers it harbors. Goblins frequently spill from the caves of the Misty Mountains, seeking to overrun the dale and claim the riches of Khazad-dûm. The dale has also served as a path for wandering adventurers, Elves, and even the Fellowship of the Ring, who fled from the Balrog of Morgoth into its shadowy embrace. Dimrill Dale remains a testament to the enduring beauty and peril of Middle-earth. It stands as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made in its defense and the fleeting yet eternal nature of its wonders. Whether viewed as a bastion of Dwarven resilience, a place of Elvish memory, or a battlefield of bitter strife, it endures, a silent witness to the age-long struggles beneath the towering peaks of the Misty Mountains.

We'll need more details, like your OS and version and some basics about your hardware like CPU, RAM, graphics card, etc. For what it's worth, I had to first get the patch launcher installed and working, then use the launcher to install BFME II. I then did a quick launch of BFME II to make sure it worked as expected, and then used the launcher to install RotWK. After all of that, then you can use the patch launcher to install the AotR mod, but when you do it'll just pop up with an install utility that will guide you through the rest of the install. I had to install AotR 8.0 first, and then install the 8.3.1 patch on top of that before everything was ready. Keep us posted on your progress!
@LetsBFME windows 11 latest version And ryzen 9 7945 HX Radeon 610M / Nvidia GeForce 4070 Laptop GPU graficcard 32gb RAM I use the all in one bfme launcher and do like it tells me to. But at the step where I've downloaded the 6gb age of the ring mod, unzipped it ...everzmything fine I have to open the exe data as administrator and then nothing happens. Normally it has to open a shortcut window
That is a head-scratcher for sure, as you definitely have a system that should have no issues installing and playing this game. Let me ask you this; how do the standard BFME games run for you? In other words, can you play the original/stock BFME 1, BFME 2, and RotWK games without any issues, even for just a few minutes? Getting RotWK working properly is a prerequisite to installing the AotR mod, or in other words you have no hope of getting AotR to install and run unless you can play RotWK without any issues first.
@LetsBFME first thank you for helping me :D. Didn't tried bfme 1 but 2 and rotwk are working without any problems. I can change the patch as the launcher tells me too to install aotr. Next step is downloading the 6gb aotr data and just install it, but the installer won't open the shortcut after running it as admin. Im not so into pc stuff so I'm really frustrated
Are you running any virus scanning software? If I’m remembering correctly, you may need to disable it and OK a warning before it will install.
Please increase the difficulty to at least captain
I hear you and I agree. This week has been less about intense competition and more about learning how to play coop with AI in a somewhat interesting and entertaining way. Stay tuned. The video coming out on Friday is me plus 2x friendly Captain Haradwaith AI vs 3x Death March Gondor, and the video on Monday (which I have yet to record) is likely to be me plus 2x friendly and handicapped Peasant Woodland Realm vs 2x Death March Dol Guldur.
Hey guys, is rotwk now more popular then bfme 2? There are only rotwk videos
I can't speak for others in the community, but I play RotWK and it's mods as it was the last game to be published by EA and received the latest enhancements before support was discontinued. I'm not sure this logic holds true anymore though, as all three games have since received an enormous amount of community polish and support. Having said that, I'm really enjoying The Age Of The Ring which is a RotWK mod and so I'm likely to stick with that for a while.
@LetsBFME would love to play age of the ring too, but im tu dump to install
Next time with good Coop pls
I hear you, but I can't pivot so fast. I always have a few games in the pipeline that I need to finish up and publish before any new ideas can be played. Having said that, next week will be coop good week, so stay tuned!
@LetsBFME thanks for that 😊

*The River Entwash and Its Shadowed History* Nestled amidst the rolling plains of Rohan, the Entwash flows as a lifeblood of the Mark, its course a defining feature of the land and its people. Originating in the Misty Mountains, this mighty river gathers strength from countless tributaries, winding southward to join the Great River Anduin. Its waters, clear and swift, sustain the fertile plains, nurturing the crops and pastures upon which the Horse-lords depend. Yet, for all its life-giving grace, the Entwash is also a boundary, a natural barrier that has long defined the conflicts and alliances of Middle-earth. The Entwash’s significance extends far beyond its geography. It is a river steeped in history, a silent witness to the rise and fall of realms. In the days of old, it marked the eastern border of Gondor's dominion, a line held steadfast against the encroachments of darkness. As Gondor's strength waned and the Rohirrim ascended, the Entwash became the heart of the Mark, a place where the Riders of Rohan gathered their herds and prepared for battle. Its banks are dotted with ancient cairns, silent memorials to the countless lives lost in the struggles for dominion over these lands. Strategically, the Entwash serves as both a shield and a peril. Its wide, shallow waters are easily forded in summer, providing a gateway to invaders from the east and south. During the spring rains, however, its torrents can become impassable, a natural defense against the swift advances of enemy forces. Many a would-be conqueror has been thwarted by the river’s unpredictable nature, their armies delayed or swept away by its rising waters. In the War of the Ring, the Entwash once more became a battleground, a place where the valor of Rohan was tested against the might of Isengard. Its fields saw the thunder of hooves, the clash of swords, and the unyielding advance of Uruk-hai legions. The river itself seemed to mourn, its currents stained with the blood of the fallen, as the land groaned under the weight of war. Yet, despite the scars of battle, the Entwash endures, its waters flowing as they have for countless ages. It remains a symbol of the resilience of Rohan, a reminder that even in the face of shadow, the spirit of the Horse-lords cannot be broken. From its tranquil headwaters to its confluence with the Anduin, the Entwash is more than a river; it is the lifeblood of a people, a witness to their trials and triumphs, and a testament to the enduring beauty and peril of Middle-earth.
Best game
Thank you!
*The Ashen Wastes of Ered Lithui* Ered Lithui, known in the tongue of Men as the Ash Mountains, stands as a forbidding boundary marking the northern and eastern edges of Mordor. This range, jagged and ancient, stretches like a wall of defiance against the encroachments of any who would dare challenge Sauron’s dominion. Its peaks, stark and barren, rise sharply against the pall of the dark skies that ever shroud Mordor, their stony flanks cloaked in ash and shadow. No greenery softens its grim visage, for the lifeless slopes harbor only the echoes of desolation and the whispers of ancient malice. The Ash Mountains are not merely a geographical feature; they are a vital bastion for Mordor, a natural barrier enhanced by the cunning of its dark master. Caverns and tunnels riddle the mountains’ flanks, hewn by orcish hands and fortified with crude but effective defenses. These hidden strongholds serve as outposts and armories, ensuring that the eastern frontier remains impenetrable to intruders. Watchtowers rise amidst the peaks, their cruel silhouettes outlined against the smoky skies, manned by vigilant orcs whose sharp eyes pierce the dim horizon. This range has borne witness to countless tales of woe, for it serves not only as a bulwark against invasion but also as a funnel for the Dark Lord’s designs. The Ash Mountains guard the Black Gate, the imposing entrance to Mordor, and their eastern spurs form a treacherous route that leads to the Dead Marshes and the realm of Rhovanion beyond. Few venture into this land without dire need, for the very air seems to weigh heavy with the malice of ages. Yet, Ered Lithui is not merely a place of dread. It is also a silent chronicler of the struggles of Middle-earth, its crags and valleys etched with the scars of battles long forgotten. During the War of the Last Alliance, the armies of Elves and Men passed by its southern flanks, their banners flying defiantly against the gathering darkness. Even then, the mountains stood as they do now, cold and unyielding, a grim sentinel over the wastes of Mordor. The terrain of Ered Lithui is as harsh as its reputation. The foothills are littered with sharp stones and treacherous scree, while the upper slopes are perilous to climb, their jagged ridges offering no safe passage. Volcanic activity from the nearby Mount Doom has left its mark here, scattering the land with blackened rocks and the faint glow of molten veins beneath the surface. It is a place where even the hardiest of travelers find their resolve tested, for the land itself seems alive with the malice of its master. For all its grimness, Ered Lithui holds a certain stark beauty, a testament to the resilience of the natural world even in the face of corruption. Its peaks catch the first light of dawn, their stony faces momentarily gilded by the sun’s rays before the shadows reclaim their hold. And in those rare moments of stillness, when the winds cease their howling and the skies clear, one might almost imagine the mountains as they were before the Shadow fell, a wild and untamed boundary between lands. Thus, Ered Lithui stands, a realm both enduring and perilous, a monument to the strength and cruelty of Mordor. It is a land that brooks no weakness, where only the strongest survive, and where the echoes of the past mingle with the relentless march of Sauron’s dominion. In its shadowed folds, the fate of Middle-earth has been shaped time and again, and it shall remain so, until the darkness is finally unmade.
As expected your ai buddy wiped the floor with them. I do like the idea of coop games but balancing would be hard. They cheat so much.
Agreed. This was my first experience with an AI friendly, and as-is it was too short and easy. I'm thinking of dialing down the friendly AI player. I think I'll try both Peasant difficulty and/or handicapping them.
@@LetsBFME or you could have a op ally and have like 6 enemies. Better balance, but game might drag on to long for a yt video. Another thing you could try is a few weak allies and one really hard enemy. They build troops to attack and you have to defend their bases, until you get your upgrades and own army.
Finally coop video 👌🏻... Also put good vs evil team.. U acts as good team (lothern /woodland/rivendel)
Bad player!
I always love me some good base building, turtling fun! Nice chill games to relax. :)
Next time, pls put good vs evil team match
I hear you, stay tuned. Next week will be coop evil week!
@LetsBFME good (rohan / woodland / lothern ) vs bad (any 3)
😊
*Where Marshes Meet Axes: The Tale of Carnen* Carnen Mire lies in the northwestern fringes of Middle-earth, a land where the earth seems reluctant to yield its secrets. It is a region both desolate and treacherous, its landscape shaped by a confluence of water and earth, forming endless marshes where firm ground is a rarity. The mire has long been a place of dread, avoided by travelers and armies alike save those with no other choice. Its waters, stagnant and dark, hold remnants of ancient conflicts-rusted weapons, shattered bones, and whispers of sorrow long since forgotten by the living. In the days before the rising of Angmar, Carnen was little more than an untamed stretch of wilderness, its dangers hidden beneath a veil of mist and still water. Yet, as the Witch-king extended his dominion, the mire became a staging ground for his malign designs. Here, Angmar's dark sorcerers practiced their craft, weaving spells to bend the land to their will. The marshes became ensnared in their shadow, a labyrinth of despair where light seemed to falter. Fell beasts prowled its depths, and whispers of unseen watchers filled the air, sowing fear in the hearts of even the bravest. Strategically, Carnen Mire was a place of peril and opportunity. Its location between Erebor and Angmar made it a natural chokepoint for armies seeking to control the flow of movement in the region. For the Dwarves, whose halls and forges relied on secure trade routes, the mire represented both a challenge and a necessity. The Witch-king, ever cunning, sought to deny them this passage, placing traps both physical and arcane to deter any who dared enter. The battles fought in Carnen Mire were unlike those waged on open plains or beneath the shelter of great halls. Here, the very ground seemed to rise against those who tread upon it, and the air carried a weight that pressed upon warriors’ spirits. Armies found their movements hindered, their formations broken by pools of sucking mud and unseen hazards lurking beneath the surface. It was a battlefield where courage was tested as much by the land itself as by the foe. Even in its desolation, the mire held a strange beauty. The reeds, tall and silver in the evening light, swayed like whispers of a forgotten past. The pools, though stagnant, reflected the stars in perfect clarity, offering a fleeting glimpse of serenity amid chaos. For the Dwarves, these glimpses of beauty served as reminders of what they fought to protect-a world where shadow might one day be driven back, and even the darkest places could see the light once more. Thus, Carnen Mire stands as a testament to the enduring struggle between light and dark, a place where the strength of the free peoples was tested against the malice of Angmar. Though the mire’s waters remain dark and its air thick with the weight of memory, it is also a place where hope has prevailed, its shadows pierced by the resolute courage of those who dared to defy the night.
playing this magnificient modded game in 60 fps is one of the reason living in 2024 is tolerable
Agreed. Not much good news to be had right now, for sure.
U don't use all the units and their Powers ... U must doit for nota funn
Like the title suggests, this was my first time playing the Age Of The Ring mod, and of course therefore the first time playing as the Woodland Realm. In other words, I was just learning the basics about the game and the available units and powers.
How do you like this mod?
I love it! The overall quality and the technical upgrades they've be able to achieve with this mod is staggering IMHO.
*The Stony Stronghold of Targul Quarry* Nestled amidst the jagged hills to the east of Ered Mithrin, the Targul Quarry stands as both a testament to Dwarven ingenuity and a silent witness to the struggles of Middle-earth's Third Age. Hewn from the bedrock by the tireless hands of Erebor's masons, this vast quarry served as a vital source of stone for the halls and fortifications of the Lonely Mountain. Its walls rise like the teeth of a great beast, jagged and imposing, and within its depths echo the labors of ages long past. The quarry's importance lay not only in its mineral wealth but also in its strategic position. Guarding a key pass through the rugged highlands, Targul served as a bulwark against incursions from the East. Its narrow paths and towering cliffs made it a natural fortress, one that could be defended by a determined force against even the greatest of armies. Yet this same isolation made it vulnerable; supplies and reinforcements could not easily reach its defenders, and its fall would leave the surrounding lands exposed. During the later years of the Third Age, Targul Quarry became a focal point in the struggles between the Free Peoples and the shadow of Mordor. Orcs, trolls, and men enslaved to Sauron's will sought to claim its stony bastions, driven by the Dark Lord's desire to choke off the Dwarves' supply lines and lay bare the defenses of Erebor. The stormy weather of this region added to its foreboding nature, with frequent rains turning the quarry floor into a treacherous mire and lightning storms illuminating its dark recesses. The quarry was more than a battlefield; it was a place imbued with the spirit of the Dwarves who had shaped it. Each stone bore the mark of their craft, and the very walls seemed to hum with the memory of their songs. Here, the Dwarves of Erebor poured their strength into both creation and defense, holding fast against the darkness that sought to engulf them. The Targul Quarry stands as a symbol of resilience, a place where the indomitable spirit of the Free Peoples shone brightest amidst the deepest shadow.
Do you use Steam lossless scaling frame generation to get a higher refresh rate in these matches? Or is this 30 fps?
I do not use the Lossless Scaling utility on Steam, AMD Fluid Motion Frames, or any other similar real-time method of frame generation. The games are hard-coded to run at 30 FPS, and so strictly speaking I play and record them at 30 FPS. I then use a technique called optical flow frame generation during post production to bring the final product up to 60 FPS.
Waiting for 2days...
*The Fords of Isen: Gateway to the Westfold* The Fords of Isen, a name steeped in the annals of Middle-earth’s tumultuous history, mark a vital crossing of the river Isen near the western reaches of Rohan. They lie between the rugged cliffs of the White Mountains to the south and the gentle slopes of the Wold to the north. This crossing, though seemingly humble in its appearance, has borne witness to some of the most desperate struggles in the history of the Westfold, as its control determines the safety of the Riddermark’s heartlands. The river Isen itself flows with a swift and unrelenting current, fed by the snows of the Misty Mountains. It serves as a natural barrier, dividing the plains of Rohan from the shadowy domain of Isengard to the north. The fords, however, break this otherwise impenetrable line, creating a crossing that is shallow enough for mounted riders and footmen to traverse, though treacherous under the wrong conditions. The rocky beds beneath its waters gleam faintly with minerals, and the surrounding lands are marked by a mix of grassy knolls and ancient stone, remnants of fortifications from days long past. In the days before the rise of Saruman as a power unto himself, the Fords of Isen were guarded by simple watchposts manned by the Rohirrim, for whom the fords were of both strategic and symbolic importance. They represented the line beyond which the Riddermark’s enemies must not pass, a bastion against incursions from the Dunlendings to the north. But as Saruman’s ambitions grew and the forges of Isengard blazed, the fords became a flashpoint in the struggle for the survival of Rohan. The geography of the fords lent itself to defensive warfare. Narrow approaches hemmed in by the Isen’s banks on either side forced armies to funnel their strength, while the swirling waters made retreat a perilous venture. Yet, this same geography made prolonged defense untenable. An army caught between the river and an encroaching foe would find itself trapped, and so the fords became a place of fleeting victories and crushing defeats. It was here that the strength of the Riders of the Mark was tested again and again. The skirmishes and full-scale battles that erupted over this hallowed ground are too numerous to recount, but among them stand out those clashes where the might of Isengard sought to shatter Rohan’s defenses. The forces of Saruman, bolstered by orcish legions, Dunlending raiders, and monstrous wargs, were relentless in their pursuit of domination over the fords. Against them stood the warriors of Rohan, clad in green and gold, their spears and swords shining like beacons of hope amidst the encroaching shadow. The Fords of Isen were not merely a battleground but a symbol of the broader struggle for Middle-earth during the War of the Ring. They stood as a testament to the courage of Men and their unyielding spirit in the face of overwhelming darkness. Though the fords would see bloodshed and sorrow, they also bore witness to acts of heroism that would echo in song and story. In the lore of the Rohirrim, the Fords of Isen hold a place of reverence and sorrow. For each warrior who fell defending its waters, the songs of the Westfold grew richer, their melodies carrying the weight of grief and the fire of defiance. Even as the storms of war swept across Rohan, the fords remained a bulwark of hope and resistance, their waters carrying the lifeblood of a people who refused to be vanquished.
i would like to get this mod but every time i tried to download the rowk it crashes on the campaing so its annoying , if you know how i could fix that and how i can get that mod would be the best thing to happen on this year for me :D
I'm sorry, but I don't have any experience with the campaigns yet. Do you use the patch launcher so that all of the games are running with the latest patches? Maybe you might have more luck with Patch 2.02, but I'm not sure. What happens exactly when it crashes, and has it ever worked right for you?
@LetsBFME i mean the bftme I and II yes the whole Game runs perfectly , but only the rowk has that error and after years u never found how to fid that , another posibility is because i always cracked the game so maybe the original would fix that ...
