    Thank you for pulling out a few all time favorite Lps also in my house; I agree brilliant as they are, few of them received recognition of their influence.literally nearly all of them: cabaret voltaire, TG, Wire, early Christian Death, TUXEDOMOON, Coil, Tones on Tail, and all the rest !

    "'Are you saying things were really that bad Dereck?' Well they probably werent, but it sure felt like it." That I think really describes how many of us who suffer from anxiety or depression reflect on those times when we were really deep into the darker parts of ourselves. During those times the black cloud that hangs over our heads is all we see because it veils everything that there is until it finally fades away. Awesome videos dude!

      Yes well said. I understand that odd reflective element on acute anxiety too. Nuff said.

    Had to click on this because of the Foetus album. Re-bought a used original Japanese import of it recently here in Korea ! Love every album on this video, got many of them when they came out. A few I've never heard of (surprisingly). This music influenced who I am.

  • @cbond1c113
    @cbond1c113 3 года назад +1

    I hear what you're saying. I went through a religious period at the end of the 80's where I felt I needed to completely break from the past, shake off all the darkness, and make a serious attempt at living again. I either sold everything I had (music in all formats) or threw it away (books on eastern philosophy). I further compounded this by getting married. It did feel liberating for a while, and it definitely ushered in a new stage in my life, but it was not meant to last. Now although I've been recollecting stuff for years now, I realize that there are some things I will never get back. We should always beware of anything or anyone who seeks to separate us from what we love.

    You’re inspiring me to do the same, I’m a 26 year old woman, I gave away all my vinyl because I travel so much but I have a portable speaker that sounds like vinyl to me - it’d be cool to make this music geek stuff accessible to people who can’t collect records anymore

    • @23.till.infinity
      @23.till.infinity 3 года назад

      SIGLO XX is more what we use to call Hard Beat, héhé !!! It's later New Beat (9o's) that sounds more like EBM and maybe also thee influence ov techno which turned it harder.
      I'm belgian too _[Mons, but I lived nearly 1o years in BXL-Zo0 where we made free-parties and my friends still continue with ALGK 6Tem]._ We're very close to Enjoy Apocalypse but it's founder who's a very good friend is now in a safer country and also left all those parties.
      ...
      You know all those parties are just places where only thee Entities ov Astral Plane are winning something : thee predation ov fucked up people's energies.
      Free-parties have a Magickal potential. But people whith Occult Sciences Knowlege(s) should turn it to real Ritual(s) and it means to make things in a way you know what it will happen or at least what it should happen !!! Héhé !!!
      Cuz' we have total authority on Astral Entity but they don't use it.
      And not especially to _''control''_ Astral Entities but more as a collaboration with much Respect and Comprehension. No Judgement cuz' an Entity tell me they don't want anything bad or good for us. They're just like that and it's their only way to survive so they do it.

    I loved watching this. You obviously know and have a deep appreciation for post-punk and its satellite genres, which, of course, was and is as relevant today as it was three decades ago. I was curious to know what your impression of the so-called revival bands today is. Personally, I find most a bit too mainstream to really be considered a second wave of post-punk, but there aren't many bands more true to the roots. I'd like to think my band, The Liar Script, holds to that musical tradition.

Well I was brainwashed for a couple years, got rid of some music that wish I never have as well, but that doesn't bother me as much as the fact that allowed myself to fall victim to all that nonsense! I'd have to put Echo and the Bunnymen in my top 5 list, even Ian McCulluch's solo stuff is great, his version of leonard cohen's Lover Lover Lover is every bit as good as the original.
