As i was sruggling through the hot ruins of africa, i saw a sight that no one could even think of seeing, it was a wild jlb cheeta bathing in one of the cool water ponds. Legend has it, that jlb cheeta's still lurks in that pond till this day...

Funny, it's now January, 2020 and this video is approaching 4-years old, but I'm here watching it because I just bought a new JLB Cheetah Monster Truck with the 120A ESC. I just got the package today and haven't opened it yet, but I'm sure looking forward to it!
Haha I just got mine today 120amp version, not took her out yet just did some checks and all looks good...Will put Xt60s on mine and waterproof esc and receiver with corrosion x to be on the safe side..

For those who are curious, the motor and receiver are water resistant. I changed the esc and servo and splashed around in the water. Haven’t had any problems yet. Do know that it can rust.

that RC made me laugh when it did the first back flip
These need an extra servo and a flipper bar on top that flips it back on its feet after a roll-over. Looks like more chasing and flipping it back over than driving it!

Ive been enjoying mine nad posting vids on my channel, couple notes, adjust the wheelie bar/wheel down, it has more holes for adjustment.... the esc is not waterproof!... I radared mine at 52mph! Mine has massife toe out on the front tires, so I adjusted that too, looks like yours may need it too.. Great video.
Hey just so you know it’s not the water messing it up you have to calibrate the receiver and transmitter first. Their is tutorials on RUclips for it

The esc is not waterproof. Lipo doesn't have problem with soft water :)

It's cool for the price but I like my emaxx brushless edition for the parts support. I broke every part on it and replaced it with rpm parts now it's like a tank😎
I have an Emax also and have replaced every part.. Aluminum frame and all aftermarket parts. costed me a fortune but it's also a tank now :)

I took mine and water and the receiver went out the first day and started working intermittently the cars fast it's fun but I would stick with Traxxas you can't find parts for that cheetah here already sent it back got my money back for it

The difference 2WD and 4WD makes is the difference in torque distribution, and hence better acceleration in a 4WD.
If your electronics and gear set up are similar, there shouldn't be much of a difference in the top end speed.

As usual I find your videos very informative and educational. But I just got this truck in and I'm having a confusing time trying to adjust the transmitter, I know drones but I'm a newbie when comes to RC trucks.
I turned on the transmitter first then pushed the truck power button, then everything seemed ok till turned a adjustment on the top and it just took off. The instruction manual for the truck is not very clear. Can you help please?

Cool but cant handle crashes very well . Too fast for the quality It will break at those speeds. Its better to spend a little more money on something that will hold up if crashed.

hey i wanted to ask i really want to get this car but for the price i was wondering scenes you have it how is it does it drive straight without you touching the steering after its trimmed also after running full battery at like same speed and stuff u did does the motor get hot or anything on the stock battery also how did the gears hold up and stuff also did u have any problems with it ?? would really like to know if it's worth the money cuz if the esc burns up fast I can't really afford to buy a new esc I just want to know how long did the electric hold up... thanks great video

Sounds like your ESC is frying just like mine did. get a new esc and don't run it in water.

Got my nitro buggy set up for racing got this for a basher off the track
baught a jlb cheetah used it once stopped using it because the battery died or wouldn't go anymore so i assumed. Charged the battery put it on and the car turns on and off by itself. When i turn it on it will only turn and will no go forward or reverse. Help??

if water gets into the electronics, you need to turn off the power immediately because microcurrents can damage the circuits - I did the same as the smartphone fell into the toilet - and it works despite the fact that it was not waterproof, but who would use it now? Hahaha

What do you think is better JLB cheetah or Vkar bison ? I'm reading that people have a lot of problems with Vkar bison. I can not decide which model to buy. currently the bison is cheaper
Both are great. Put on the optional steel gears and bracing, make sure screws are thread locked and always tight then they both will last
