In the uk the cheetah is about £75-£100 cheaper than an arrma typhon, granite or big rock depending whether you get the standard or upgraded version but they’re available everywhere and parts/upgrade support is superb. Price- wise the Team Associated MT10 is much closer to Cheetah money and extremely highly rated. Would love to see you try one of them.
Really like these cheetahs as they absolutely hammer and like you said parts are easy to get. The only thing is those tyres. Easy to upgrade. Thank you for the review!!! 120A version is tough to overlook lol.
I hope yours holds up. Mine chewed through diffs like crazy, after about 6 times rebuilding/replacing it, I got rid of mine. I hope they upgraded that but I doubt it. At that price at least in the U.S. there's much better options.
I was shocked to see the hinge brace breaking. Also, as a RTR, it truly is great for the price. the arrma 3s needs a battery and charger. this one comes with a decent battery, the charger is rubbish but will work.

My favourite place in Christchurch to run rc's is Craighead Reserve BMX track. Perfect for Tamiya 1/10 size, but still fun for your bigger guns. Big jumps at Kyle Park, Hornby BMX track.
Hi Kiwis! I got one upgraded version. The hingepin brace has too thin metal at those holding screws. I saw them break at other people. My main problem is driveshafts. They bend so easy. I took out first time and bend all 4 in 2 minutes. One of them bent so much that popped out from diff cup. I can't drain a full battery without havibg driveshaft issues. My ESC voltage cut off set too low from factory. They set to 3.0V so it drained my lipos too much. I changed setting. I like backflips so I broke a front body mount and a front bumper lower mount. It has a very thin 1mm part sliding under front diff and it broke there. I repaired it with 2 aluminum plates. I can show you pics 😉 stronger than factory. Overall it fast junps nice and easy to flip but I wrench more than I play with it 😔
They sell upgraded CVDs for around 40$ for a set of 4. I haven't had any more trouble since I switched. I recommend getting them. If you have trouble finding them I can look up the part number for you

100% agree. Anyone living where the Arrma 3s/4s lineup is price competitive should just buy the Arrma. I'm thinking America and Canada at least. I've a DHK Zombie which I've had since before ARRMA started 3s/4s. . It's more stunt truck like the 4s Outcast. It is a blast to run on 4s BUT I've spent more on replacement parts than any other RC I own. Constantly replacing pinion gear and crown gear running 4s. The differential setup allows the pinion to smash into the crown gear rather than having a bridge piece to keep separation. Other than that the DHK Zombie is a tank and quite difficult to break.
When this first come out it was around $299 and we all knew it was too good to be true that the prices would definitely go up I like the new body style and tires for sure been watching you guys for a little while not into the RC world like I used to be hopefully when I get around my grandson we will get back into it you guys are super cool man and Amber she has one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen he needs to be on all your thumbnails bro you guys have a great one and I'll see you soon💯💪🏽💪🏽💚🤙🏽🤙🏽💙👍🏽👍🏽❤👊🏼👊🏼

Try the JLB 21101, which is the 2nd generation Cheetah. This is the 1st generation which had some issues and the only thing that they changed is the cover.

Pretty impressive truck , looks good , seems to have a fair amount of torque , speed wise , not bad. Im sure you could upgrade the truck to suit your liking . The only issue is getting replacement parts , they likely have every part you would need , Unfortunately with the current pandemic , shipping takes forever and even longer when you live on the other side of the globe .By the way i got a good laugh when you commented on the weather being cold , My friend come to Canada in February i will show you cold . lol

I have the version 2 with the upgraded Esc. It seems the same as this version just with a different body. It’s waaayy overpowered right out of the box. You definitely need a disciplined throttle finger. The Cheetah is not for beginners. Hope you two enjoy. Glad you are finally out of quarantine. 🐼
Goes to show you a metal ain't always the best for jumping anyways the cold made it brittle or more brittle so to say still a nice truck can happen to any RC they all break.
Great videos guys. I had the 120amp JLB and it broke, a lot. It was fun to drive but the issues I encountered put me off the vehicle. I drive manly on dirt and short grass and the durability was seriously lacking IMO. I also found it tricky to work on. So I sold the slightly broken Cheetah and got an Arrma Big Rock and it's tougher by miles than the JLB. The Arrma 3s line is next level compared to the Cheetah.
That hinge Pin Hole not sure exactly what it’s called that part breaks off often. I have had a lot of issues with them breaking on the 120Amp version. Order extras my advice.
I have one and it's an okay RC car. If you think it's a super tough basher it's really not. It is a beginner car. Also parts can be a real struggle to find.
The links you sent for the regular one and the upgraded one are the same honestly I would look for a cheaper one and then wait here buy a Traxxas velinion motor and ESC and put it on for you can look for a cheaper 3500kv motor
O yes and horrizon sent me a new typhon v5 6s after my first blew up, the diffs were back ordered so they sent me a new one that what do ya know has diff problems gonna send it to the moon
Wish Jlb made 1/8 scale trucks and 1/6. Or 1/7... they have the technology to make them. I feel they make their trucks and cars better than zd racing. And I wish dhk made something new. Wish I knew what happened to force rc company because they didn't do to bad with their epidemic and muckraker.. . . but hi from Dover-foxcroft Maine... kiwis !!! Must be beautiful in Japan area.. wish I was rich to visit there ..
Good channel but the jlb cheetah 🐆 is better then most arrma and traxxas 10 scale when it comes to speed and durability but it has it's flaws but the flaws aren't as bad as arrma and traxxas because it has all metal gear and the plastic is very forgiven

It's in the 90s (32c) here in South US right now. I miss them chilly RC days. No worries about overheating.

The JLB 21101 performs much better than this, because of the better tyres. I can say that because i own the jlb 21101. It is an absolute beast.
