    Looks like the orginal trigger fit the new stock? Was the magazine well the only new part that you needed to buy other than the stock?

    One more thing.. the very first thing I noticed when you dropped the barrel into the top of the Boyd's gunstock was the lack of Gap at the front of the stock. There was a pretty substantial Gap with the Savage factory stock. I love that it disappeared with the new gunstock. Gaps at the front of rifle stocks bug me to no end. I don't have OCD that bad but it's little things like that that I notice. When the barrel is sitting perfectly in a well-machined lower or rifle stock.. that tells me that the company that produced the product took the time to go that extra little step for that perfect match. And that seems to be what happened here with your rifle. And that's just one more reason for me to add to my growing list of why I should purchase a stock from boyds. Thank you again for the video. 🙏🇺🇸

    Different camera angles would help. Tried looking over your shoulder at some points 😁. And I never put loctite on till all parts fit prior. Thank you for video and good luck 👍

      this was one of my first videos it was in 3 parts.I took it down thought it was lame. But years later I still had the videos on my phone. When I got soft ware I could put videos together I redid it and made it one.

    Did your gunsmith thread the barrel? How did you get the muzzle break added. I want to do the same with mine. Thanks.

      Yes a gun smith did that I had him make it permanent because I did not need to remove it. I liked it so much I had one like it put on another gun that I will be doing a video on soon. thanks

      I called savage and got a mag well that would fit a after market stock because the factory one was made into this plastic stock. It was only about $10-15 dollars for it.

    I'm picking up my Savage model 111 30 - 06 hopefully by the end of the week. I do not like the plastic polymer stock that is currently on the rifle. It is an ugly Gray and I do not like the contour anywhere on it. I found voids just randomly looking for a replacement stock and I was blown away by what they offered. Yours is the third video I've watched regarding these stocks. Your video was very well presented that is a beautiful piece of hardware and I hope it gives you many many years of reliable service. 🔥

      That was my very first video I made for this channel back in 2017. It was in 3 parts I thought it was stupid so I took it down. I have software now to put videos together and edit them so I luckily, I still had them on my phone so I made one video out of them and this was the best I could do at that time. Thanks for the encoring words.

    My friend I liked the video, but I'd like to impart a little wisdom on you. You should never ever ever sit the rifle down on the scope like you did when you were taking it apart. That can damage and even destroy your scope. I've been doing this kind of stuff for over 50+ years. Believe me I've made some silly mistakes over that time and learned from them and moved on. Question? Did you have to buy the plastic mag peice from boyds for the DBM box to fit into that stock or use your original that came off of your savage stock.

    • @REBELDAWG308
      @REBELDAWG308  2 года назад

      I bought it from Savage I think it was around $12.00. Your right about the sitting the rifle on the scope. I have a lot more respect for my gear now since it cost a lot more money nowadays. I made that video about 5 years ago it was one of my first videos I put up then I took it down because it was 3 parts. Now I can put all my short clips into one video.

    Dude it won’t shoot better than the factory stock! You have no clue what ur torque specs need to be at for one. number 2 , the stock isn’t bedded from Boyd’s , you have to bed the action and lug ! 3 , you definitely could slide a dollar bill in the factory clearance! Etc etc etc
