I totally agree. I was a heavy bleeder and my cycles would be 30-35 days instead of 28. I was going through ultra tampons in 1.5 hours the first two days of my cycle pre-myomectomy. Now I'm 28 days and don't need ultra tampons at all. I'm so glad I got the surgery.

My cycle has done a complete turnaround since having an open myomectomy. The cramps were almost unbearable before the surgery. It may sound cliche, but having the surgery was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time.

I started my cycle the same day I had my open myomectomy surgery 12-23-21. I was in the hospital for 3days. So far, so good. I started my cycle today and its HEAVY like never before. I didn't have that issue prior to surgery. So, with more healing, it should subside.

The pain is there, the breast sensitivity is there, the vertigo, insomnia and just general wierdness is present, but the actual period is nowhere to be seen! It decided to take a vacation without filing in the proper paperwork😢. Plus can anyone tell me why the pain is extra where my tube was removed?

Thank you so much for being so open and honest about your IVF and open myomectomy journey.
Are you in Dallas, Tx? Out here in WV, where I'm at, they're leaning more toward a total abdominal hysterectomy for me ( I have one large fibroid 9.5ish, 2 small, and many little ones)and I've canceled my surgery twice because I believe I shouldn't have to do away with my uterus since I still want more kids( I have 3). So I'm looking at different locations and obgyn surgeon options, to give myself the best possible option.

@@emc62591 Hi, after two months on Lupron I went for ultrasound and while talking to doctor I don't believe they shrunk much. I personally think taking it was to cut off the blood supply and keep the fibroids from growing during that waiting period. The hot flashes were real :-( My cycle returned 8 weeks post surgery. I pray not to have another surgery but no I wouldn't take Lupron again.
