I also at first thought that how could i afford to buy so much i was 12 and now im 14 and i have saved and earned enough money by giving piano classes that i could afford double the expensive equipment 😊. So trust in yourself.
There are a lot of cheaper options. When it comes to mics, I recommend the audio technica at2020USB. It's a budget microphone, but it provides really good audio. Or if you're really tight on money, you can just use your phone, although you wont get that professional sound unless you know how to mix and master the song, which I'm guessing you dont. That's a whole different skill
I used to think that too but the options are the cheapest that they have ever been. Most gear comes bundled with free recording software etc. check out the package bundles on sites like Sweetwater. And if you check Marketplace or Craigslist you may even be able to find things piece by piece.

I really want to set up my own channel for covers but I'm petrified of copyright etc. Unfortunately I don't play any backing instruments like piano or guitar so I can only use backtracks but I'm worried that that's not allowed. yeah except you can't use them unless you get a permission from the karaoke channel, and probably can't upload it to youtube, facebook or instragram via a distribution platform like distrokid, this is the terms set by most of karaoke channels. You can uppload to youtube but not trhough a distribution platform. One more thing, in this video she is using singking, they have in their channel that you can't record and distribute covers with their backtracks.

not really, you could use ur phone to record ur audio, you could use soundtrap or audacity (which are free too)

I’m not sure exactly how that would work because I can only hear the keyboard when I have it plugged up to an amp and a microphone? Sorry I know that sounds so confusing haha. Neat instructional video. Is that what you are doing mostly now? I remember your great reaction to Courtney Hadwin (now 15) on AGT. If you are at all interested in hearing a budding superstar vocalist/performer, I and a bunch of Courtney fans would love to see your reaction to her most recent covers of 4 contemporary songs that she improves IMO. They are on the Courtney Hadwin VEVO channel. Soon she will have her 1st album of originals out, and it will be a stunner! These were done in a fine professional studio where she was also recording her album.
Hi Zane! You have your audio recording sometimes on the stereo settings, starting at 2:22 and some other time in the video. Voice is on the left, and guitar on the right. Change the recording settings to mono so both tracks will be heard left and right. Great content btw. Keep it up!

It depends lol. But if you make the instrumental on your own, then you have to just share the revenue you make. It’s an automatic detection. More than 1/2 of the revenue you make from that video goes to the copyrighter.
