Watching it, I don't think it necessarily looks like it would be bad. But to say it's the best "hamburger" ever, it's not a hamburger. Maybe try “meatless”. That’s what we call plant based burgers in the U.S. what she made minus the meat is called pancakes. I know vegetarian in Bulgarian is vegetarianec.
The first "recipe" is similar to how we make meatballs in Denmark. Okay, we use pork and no baking powder or heavy cream, but there are similarities. We also use flour and eggs. It's not this sloppy gooey mess as demonstrated here, but I can see where the inspiration might come from 🙂
I seriously doubt that. Just because you use some of the same ingredients doesn't make it "similar". I the US we use ground beef, milk, egg and breadcrumbs but nothing about this is similar to what we make. She uses half the amount of meat, twice the amount of milk, plus another cup of cream, nowhere near enough to absorb it (we use breadcrumbs, she uses flour to absorb that much liquid shed have to add so much more flour it would just be like glue). No, not similar.
The Milk burgers are actually a vintage recipe to help get many portions of beef. It was mainly used in the great depression and world War 1 and 2. It's supposedly taste more like a meatloaf or a meatball than a burger but it gets many portions for a small bit of beef :)
2:23 The baking powder lit me on fire IT TRIGGERED ME SO MUCH BAKING POWDER IS FOR BAKING NOT COOKING NOW IT’S GOING TO TASTE LIKE ALUMINUM FOIL TIKTOK DOESN’T EVEN HAVE COMMON SENSE
The first recipe is actually an "interesting" take on a hard times meal. It is meant to stretch your budget to last longer and feed more people while using less meat and more flour or grains in a meatball/meatloaf type of take. :) The more you know.
Some Slavic meat patty recipies add eggs, sour cream breadcrumbs and onions to their ground meat. I have made "kotleti" for my husband many times and he loves them. As a kid my grandmother would soak lot of bread in a milk and then grind it up with beef and onions in a meatgrinder to make this type of mixed mince and used it to make patties. They were to die for! This " burger is pure beef" is purely American point of view, but I am sure these patties can be used as a side dish with rice or potato as well.
@@MagMaybe it’s not just an American sentiment. It’s the most unkosher meal I have ever seen. literally “cooking meat in its own milk’ It was strange, very unappetizing the way she did it. Onion and breadcrumbs might have saved it, she has no skill is the problem
Man. I love these recipes. They are simple to follow with nice audio and background music. Whenever I get hungry, I plan on watching these videos so that I don't feel the need to eat anymore. And that would save a lot of time and effort especially late at night. Thanks Flomo.
@GLEOMMY I said I want to watch the videos whenever I'm hungry so that I don't have to eat anymore. I'm hinting at how atrocious it is that you'd lose your appetite even if you're hungry.
So, cooking pasta in a pan (kind of like risotto) is definitely a thing. HOWEVER, you add hot water incrementally until it’s cooked to your liking and make sure the pasta is evenly covered. This ensures that you keep all the starch from the pasta, great for creamy sauces that need the starch for emulsification
Honestly I’m tempted to make those accursed sins of burgers at home just to see what it’ll be like, but that’s deeply disrespectful to the poor cow and its ghost will haunt me for the rest of my life
In Australia, we combine mince, onions, an egg, breadcrumbs and bbq sauce, roll into balls and we call them rissoles LOL I don’t know any Aussies who slap balls of mince on a pan and call it a burger.
I wanted to start a TikTok channel to promote healthy cooking with simple recipes, Im doing a cooking course which has taught me a lot and I love cooking. My parents are a bit over weight and Mum has dietary needs for having lupus, she has a hard time finding recipes that are quick and easy so Id thought it would be a good way to help other people who may struggle like her. Though seeing this stuff, I dont feel that comfortable uploading a single video
In middle-/eastern Europe a similar recepie is used. But with way less milk, breadcrumbs instead of flour and chopped onions in the mix. It's really tasty and can be used as a side dish in various meals.
The third recipe reminds me of a recipe some health organization that came to our school in HS taught us. I remember it being bananas mashed up with some other ingredients to make a healthy "pancake". I remember the women was like " isnt this SOOO good?" and while we weren't totally bashing them (any excuse to not have normal class AND get something to eat was a good day, plus they weren't totally horrible), we were all pretty much just sad they weren't normal pancakes. So yeah, they probably aren't horrible but if you have already decided you want pancakes for breakfast, these are not going to replace them 😆
“You’re loving this recipe!” Actually, her first mistake was not only saying that 5 seconds into the recipe, but also either assuming how we felt or straight up telling us how to feel about her cooking
So actually it's a pretty good way to keep your mother in law away from your house. Cooked those "burgers" for mine. Haven't seen her since then. 🤷🏻♀️

I'm going to hypothesize no. The way that the way they talk, the music, the low effort, it makes me think that this is a content farm, like 5-minute crafts, just for TikTok.
This reminds me of someone I once knew who clearly thought she was a wonderful cook. She beamed with pride every time she presented her guests with some bizarre disgusting concoction she had just created out of thin air. Yes, she ate and loved her own "cooking." Perhaps she had no taste buds, and for some reason never noticed the looks of horror on her guests' faces.
8:10 - add some flour, remove the coconut. Grade the apple in bigger piece and drain the excess juice. Put a bit of cinamon, mix, make small piles like for hashbrowns and here you go - Polish Racuchy. Goes nice with powdered sugar.

Tiktok and cooking should not be in the same sentence. Because people on TikTok can't even cook anything without velveeta cheese, a copious amount of cheese and hot dogs.
The only tiktok cook I trust is Dylan Hollis, not because he's loud and funny, but because he works from real(ly old) recipes. He also suffers(and occasionally doesn't suffer) himself after making the food, so you know for a fact whether or not to make it for yourself...or your obnoxious aunt, I'm not going to tell you what you can or can't do with your perfection salads.
No. Kay's cooking channel is worse. These look bad, but they are at least edible, even though the taste is not so awesome. Kay's cooking will poison you and send you to the hospital.
It looks a bit like eastern European kotleta. But instead of flour, people usually add white bread soaked in milk. You can also add some carrots, for example, or onions
It cooked in bundles, which will definitely make them stick together and be less cooked in the sticking points. Can't tell if the part inside the meat was even half-cooked, that's not something I have knowledge on. Alternative way that will make your pasta be cooked (note: I dunno if the rest of the recipe is any good, solely focusing on the pasta): Make your meat balls, maybe even half the size, and put the pasta *alongside it* when you put the "broth" in, giving it a shake once or twice so it'll be separated. Yeah it doesn't look as spectacular, but at least people may enjoy eating it :p
As a Chef myself I truly appreciate you doing these cuz it's my enjoyment!! But she does seem 💯 percent behind it!! I think she read the recipe wrong as she could've gone with the meatball or meatloaf technique which I see all the time! But the best is to get yourself a combination of great quality beef and make to an 80/20 mix of beef and fat (season salt & pepper & granulated garlic powder) then for a good Smash burger 2-4 Oz portion size balls in a screaming hot pan or flattop (cast-iron) flatten down to get that crust built on it season top then flip when ready( add any cheese when u flip it)have the buns toasted and ready 4 when the burgers 🍔 come off. As soon as the cheese starts to melt they are ready to come off add to the buns and eat right away!!!!
As someone who has been cooking for myself since I was a kid, the fruit and egg combinations actually not bad. A lot of people think of eggs are savory, but they’re pretty flavorless on their own. I went home took the jump to make chocolate flavored eggs. Yes, chocolate flavored eggs. I added cocoa powder, salt, vanilla and maple syrup, whisk the eggs vigorously, and then made an omelette with it! It was surprisingly tasty, I offered some to my mom as I had a eureka moment, she was also nervous, but when she tried it she was also taking it back. Basically you got the fluffy,Squishy texture of eggs, but with all the flavor of chocolate! Also instead of cheese, I added some pieces of chocolate to melt in between. Would highly suggest!
First recipe reminds me of the Danish national dish Frikadeller. A few changes in ingredients and definitely not not considered burgers, but still extremely delicious. Like you can make it yourself of course or go to any supermarket and find them frozen or in the cooler. Or go to any butcher and get them fresh. They are also used in almost all grills too, where they are part of a sandwich.

Tik tok influencer: "look at this italian recipe"
Italians: mama mia!?
Uh oh here come the ethno-snobs
I was thinking about that while watching lol
We Americans are apparently easily disgusted and confused by anything we haven't seen before, judging by this video and the comments.
@@mommy2libras do u know what similar means? lmao
It's kinda similar to biscuits and gravy all in one clean patty.
The Milk burgers are actually a vintage recipe to help get many portions of beef. It was mainly used in the great depression and world War 1 and 2. It's supposedly taste more like a meatloaf or a meatball than a burger but it gets many portions for a small bit of beef :)
That makes sense actually but I'm surprised that they didn't include water somewhere as that would make it even cheaper.
However she did it wrong. Poor woman can't cook.
:) The more you know.
agreed :)
@@MagMaybe I was thinking sour cream would make more sense…
Of course, I don’t really know how I wound up here at all. 😂
@@MagMaybe it’s not just an American sentiment. It’s the most unkosher meal I have ever seen. literally “cooking meat in its own milk’

I'm guessing the pasta inside the meat hasn't cooked properly.
Honestly I’m tempted to make those accursed sins of burgers at home just to see what it’ll be like, but that’s deeply disrespectful to the poor cow and its ghost will haunt me for the rest of my life

Well this modern version sure is giving me depression
So 20 years? Gotcha 🤣
and nobody does it because it's not good you don't dump heavy cream on a burger that's retarded
quite a few decades
In middle-/eastern Europe a similar recepie is used. But with way less milk, breadcrumbs instead of flour and chopped onions in the mix. It's really tasty and can be used as a side dish in various meals.
"Share with friends", no thanks, I prefer my friends to be alive 🤣
The third recipe reminds me of a recipe some health organization that came to our school in HS taught us. I remember it being bananas mashed up with some other ingredients to make a healthy "pancake". I remember the women was like " isnt this SOOO good?" and while we weren't totally bashing them (any excuse to not have normal class AND get something to eat was a good day, plus they weren't totally horrible), we were all pretty much just sad they weren't normal pancakes. So yeah, they probably aren't horrible but if you have already decided you want pancakes for breakfast, these are not going to replace them 😆
I used mashed bananas to make healthy pancakes! They taste like banana bread!!
So just add them to the pancake batter? That sounds so good! 🍌👄🍌
