Might be a lil late to the party but did you just do the camera movements in blender and then import the video to adobe illustrator? The only thing holding me back from getting really into animation is the backgrounds

This is a free program called blender so you can probably use it too
Oh nvm he animates with a different tool but you can animate in blender as well
