i can't even imagine taking a none dancer on a first date to a dance event :P haha. As you say we know too many people in the dance scene and it would just be far too many questions and just not a comfortable date!!!

On your first date night I think you should focus on having fun. Can you have a joyful life together? So why not dancing as a part of it? But not the whole night because you'll be separated dancing with others. So do a couple of dances and then move on somewhere else instead of dancing with others.

If you've been dancing a while and fully invested then it could be "like living in a goldfish bowl" in front of everyone. The problem is that on one hand it's "sh*tting on your own doorstep" but then on the other it may be a key shared interest to connect with someone and people outside the scene don't get it, like you describe and on first glance at seeing it all must think it's the last days of Rome!
Probably some more cliches of it being like a certain famous film "Just when I thought I was out they pulled me back in" or a musical "The point of no return". Life is mad!

I mean let´s be real here. Either way, if you agree on meeting, date or whatever you wanna call it at a bachata party and that person doesn´t show up, it still won´t be a waste of time lol.

I took an ex to bachata lessons because she thought i dont like to dance ( clubbing music) at the same time, my current girlfriend took her ex, who also doesn't like to dance. We met there and have danced together for nearly 3 years .

Hi Rasa, I think it is a good, fun idea if the person is confident and you look after them. I think, suggest other activities to them as well.
However, some people are jealous and if you are speaking to a lot of people of the opposite sex they may get upset.
If they are up for a laugh, join in and are relaxed about it I don't see why it would be a problem.
In saying that, I have tried it and it didn't work very well! 😂x

I didn't invite someone for dancing on a date because I would probably feel similar like you. I'm not a professional, but have been there long enough and I also like to dance with different people unless it's such a great connection I don't want to move on 😅 meeting a person while dancing and turning it to a date makes sense to me if you're careful 😁

If Dance is part of your life than yes is a good idea, if not the is bad idea.
Point is you should be genuine, if you have no interest in the dance then is a waste, if is part of you then the real you will show vise vesa ofcourse.

Very fun video Rasa! I agree that a first date with an improver+ lead and an absolute beginner follow could work, but the reverse is a recipe for disaster. But that ties into my personal philosophy that absolute beginners should never lead.
I took someone to a Salsa class as a first date once. It didn't go well, but that was more due to me generally being awkward rather than anything to do with the dancing!

It is a bit strange with dance, singing, acting etc. We should have fun from the very beginning actually. It is just to inform the people of your possibilities and level. I was a professional musician and can sing with both children and parents on a birthday parties. My being a professional in such occasions is irrelevant and I enjoy birthday partie`s singing.

@@DanceWithRasa You can, on your level. Do it and do not be embarrassed. If you do it from the heart it is equally lovely (perhaps even more) as skillful singing.
