Kegel can make it worse. I did them for years not knowing. But old fashion squats really do help. I started a squat challenge about 6 years ago and found my problem fixed by 90 percent. I was already low carb, which had helped a lot. But the squats took it to a much better level.

I did a 48 hour fast for food poisoning recovery and breaking my fast with fermented foods probiotics and continues with leafy green vegetables with very little protein for 3 more days, no carbs/sugar of any kinds … it’s no longer a issue for me now, Dr berg is always on point with health issues, my family is definitely benefiting from your work and watching your videos everyday, THANK YOU 🙏

That's fantastic. Glad to hear it worked.
But in case you were unaware of it, you DID have carbs because you said you ate leafy green vegetables.
What helped me was the opposite.
I ate a high animal fat keto diet with the normal amount of protein from red meat, eggs, chicken and a couple other animal sources.
I usually make homemade kefir but had to buy a store brand, but it was plain (no added sugars or fruit) and still worked as a great probiotic.

Just so you're aware, leafy greens have such a minimal amount of carbs that it's not worth mentioning. You can eat a couple pounds of leafy greens a day and still never go out of ketosis. In fact kale and other leafy greens are so low in carbs it's the only thing that won't break a fast bc fiber is the main componant. @pat4005

I've been having bladder leakage after first childbirth and got worse gradually with second and third then with menopause. I excercise and pills with no improvements. I started healthy keto and intermittent fasting 5 months ago. Not only I lost 30 pounds and belly fats, the bladder leakage improved immensely. I almost feel like before child birth. Thank you, Dr Berg!!! I totally agree the root cause for most bladder leakage is insulin resistance.

Ugh . . . I've never done intermittent fasting and I've no idea how to do it so I'm going to have read book on it. I have poor appetite already and then if I'm further limited to meats and fats, that's prolly not going to work very well for me.

  • @sandradixon6205

I didn't have a leaky bladder but I used to go to the bathroom very frequently and I got really fed up with my sleep being disturbed at night to go to the bathroom (usually only once) and not being able to get back to sleep. Just over a year ago after watching your videos I realized that I was insulin resistant so I started healthy keto and then introduced IF - 20/4. Within a few months I lost 17kg and since then, while continuing with keto and IF, I've stayed at 50kg which is ideal for my height. I saw some improvement in the number of times I needed to go to the bathroom as well as many other improvements. I will be 74 next month and I try to do as much exercise as I can. Four days ago I started doing stomach vacuums and already I'm amazed that I no longer need to visit the bathroom at night so I'm getting better quality sleep, and I only go to the bathroom 4-5 times a day. So the combination of keto, IF, reversal of insulin resistance and vacuums has very much improved my life.

Just slowly move your fasting period one hour at a time to make the transition easier. I made dinner earlier and then I skipped breakfast and made a early lunch. It’s funny but hunger is often just the body responding to a time you feed it. Think about if you are hungry and you get a phone call that a love one was in the hospital and you had to come right away. You will notice that your hunger will disappear. A good part of hunger is simply habit.

No more leaky bladder, wrinkles have disappeared, nails have grown long and strong, eyebrows are filling in and OMG I have beautiful eyelashes again! I transitioned slowly. Spot on regarding the ANS. I have a chronic issue with B12 deficiency. Incontinence came simultaneously with balance issues, cognitive loss, pins & needles, numbness, vision & hearing loss. Ob/gyn prescribed Betmiga - assuming it was a nerve issue. Took years to figure out the B12 problem - will take years to recover, perhaps partially. It’s important to note if the incontinence occurs along with other neuro issues - & demand an “active” b12 test. Serum B12 does not tell you how much of the vitamin is useable. It could also be a problem with other deficiencies. And if you have iron deficiency along with b12 deficiency they can cancel each other out in the blood tests - showing a negative for anemia.

After removing fillings, implemented various ways to detoxify. Also cut down on water consumption, and eventually found dry fasting helped to reset the suppressed antidiuretic hormone. After implementing Inclined Bed Therapy, now not waking up at all during the night, unless drinking too close to bedtime and/or consuming too much carbs/sugars.
