i have the Collins set of bias bars and have not tried applique yet. Now that I have found you and your great instructions, I feel like I could do it with accuracy! I see so many patterns with appliqued borders, and it really adds to the quilt. Thank you!
Yes, I did enjoy "the show", as you say at the end. Great techniques - because of your specific instructions, even a beginner like myself could do this applique can do this. The way you did the registration marks took away the scariness aspect of having a well-executed design. And then how you joined the strips - so much easier than I'd imagined. I already have Roxanne glue, I just need to buy some bias bars. Thanks, Nancy.
What brand is your seam guide and where do you get one? I have heard of people using a stack of the little bitty tiny 1/2" x 2"Post It Note stickers as a seam guide. Do you think that would work?
Hi Jane - I use the GuildLines for Quilter's guilds - they are rather inexpensive and can usually be found at a quilt shop. I used to use Dr Shool's mole skin but they stopped making the one that was a little more than an 1/8' think so I switched. as long as the post it notes stay in place, they will work :)Nancy
You kick ass Nancy! You are such an awesome teacher!

Question - why do you cut the strips at the intersections?
👍❤️😊
Why cut the under sections?
Some people do, I don't feel the need.
