Dulcich is like the car Einstein. An Automotive genius in knowledge and hair. I completely love it. Keep it up brother, been watching you for YEARS on engine masters, Road Kill Garage etc... 👍
How about a tour of your compound. Looks like a new building, a second floor in one of them?, is the second floor crew lounge done? All things we need to know…….
Steve if it helps your situation you could donate some parts for my 65 dodge project build for my youtube channel ? the motor I'm building is a 78 360 block with factory J heads 2.02 valves 😎👍🏁
I feel your pain Steve spend time to organize things only to find myself stacking stuff somewhere else while Im searching for something and then come back and have to move that stuff back on the shelf because its now blocking something else Im looking for and for a moment I thought Steve was in my parts room! I can't tell you how many times I've said the same thing. "I've got a 100 of them somewhere, I'll just order another one." Only to find it the day the new one arrives or right after I've installed the darn thing. That's with everything labeled in detail. Keep it up Steve wish I had your knowledge mine is in a library full of old dusty shop manuals next to the parts room. Steve has to be one of the most down to earth celebrities I know of. Keep real Steve some of us can't afford $1000s for heads or tricked out suspension parts but can run with the ones who can... namaste bro 🤙🏼
Steve, get a cart with wheels that roll nice and smoothly so you can put things on the cart, then move it outta the way when you are done looking. Harbor Freight dude. Videos are looking much better, kudos to your camera man.
Dude, there is no help unfortunately. Anyone else would not organize it the way you would like, obviously people (Freiburger) have pilfered and not replaced. Glad to see you working on the channel, look forward to more.
I know your pain. I used to have 15,000sq ft of parts and tools across 3 floors. Seem like a great thing to have but it just means you spread out more. WAY too much!
I know exactly what you going through man, I buy and sell a ton of vintage speed parts for Mopars along with filming out of my garage for our RUclips show, and I make it a goal to do a garage overhaul about every 4 months. I basically spend an entire day pulling almost everything out and reorganizing everything. I could probably do your store with ease, it already has a great organization going on, it just needs a good tidying up. Also if you got any parts you want to sell you can get ahold of me through Chris Birdsong, he is good friend of mine and your contact info would be safe, same thing goes with if you are looking for anything, just let me know. I hope you get the room sorted out because I know the funk of disorganization, can lead to a bunch of headaches.
Reminds me of a friend of mine that has a pile in his pole barn 10 feet high in the center with a diameter of 30 feet. Carbs, distributors, manifolds, flywheels etc... Somewhat organized and shaped like a pyramid.
5:10 a dead piece of something that you'd find on the road , I don't know if there's a term for that- With a straight face and just keeps talking- got a chuckle out of that- how many of ya'll caught that?
Hard to feel bad for a guy that has so many performance parts he literally doesn't know what to do with them all. I can only dream of having your problem, lol.
🥺 you still have lids for your totes lol 😂 you already know that you go hanging stuff from the ceiling and then you're going to start hitting your head on everything. I just got one of those nut/ bolt orginzer jobs for my OCD, believe it ur not small engine hobbies build up more than automotive. 🤣 Preaching to the choir I've watched you for years bro . Love it man just wish I lived closer I'd help you finish that stucco outside for sure 😉
It's possible, just maybe, and hear me out here, that you just might have too much stuff in there. I mean, having one or two of everything is great when working on projects, but do you really need 10 of everything? Just how many slant 6 intakes do you really need at once? I don't think you have OCD for keeping things neat, a neat workspace is more efficient, like any other well maintained tools. But when you have literally a hundred camshafts and probably 30 different intakes, well, it means you have to keep everything perfect all the time in order to fit it all.
Production is really benefiting from your excellent set up! You might need to ask that there be a clean up at the end of every day, if you crash at the end of a long day, then still you don’t start shooting the next day until everything is cleaned up. Label your shelves so others can help clean up, include a drop area for things that are dirty, don’t have a place or the other person doesn’t know what to do with them. That drop area is one of the things that has to be cleared every day. Build a caddy for the crew tables, chairs, ect where the stuff should be stored between shoots. Maybe even mark the floor where the stuff should be set up when needed. A little work can make everyone happier in the long run.
Awesome your RUclips channel is looking really good I've been following you for some quite some time I truly believe you're the best out of all these TV personalities you deserve your own Show And on the organization thing you just need to hire yourself an apprentice and train him It would be like having a Mini Steve Have a great weekend with love from the South side of Chicago
Yeah Steve I feel for ya. You have by far worse gearhead problems than me. You also have me beat on the healthy snacks in the shop. Keep stuff coming and show the oddball stuff:
Steve, I feel your pain. My entire home has become a parts warehouse. I've even got 10.5 mounted slicks in one of the bedrooms. There is an oil pan, oil pump and water pump behind the chair I am typing from. The kitchen table has 5 carburetors apart on it right now. Maybe I should put some of them back together someday?
Steve, great stuff, we'd all like a parts room like that, who wouldn't. Are you going to give us a shop tour? Seems like you've got a few new buildings that I haven't seen. thanks for sharing
Steve, O.C.D sucks. I have mild O.C.D. myself, and it can be a struggle. With all of the shows you are part of, it is no wonder the amount of dissaray you have to deal with, and I'm sure it is maddening. Just take an afternoon, to reorganize the parts room. Make yourself do it. I know the state of your parts room would drive me nuts, but I can only imagine how you feel. Good luck man!
It must be like owning 4 businesses and making the time to progress on car projects. The schedule must be grueling, but damn it has to be rewarding as well.
This was therapeutic. It's a good thing that I don't have as much space as you. I'm a sucker for ordering more parts for the discount in shipping and then my inventory just increases for those future projects that never seem to happen.
On Engine Masters, could you do a test of power on the dyno vs power to the wheels and the factors that might affect it? As to the DLSR, take on an intern, teach them your system, label everything, and make them the dedicated parts grabber during shoots. If just you and one other organized person who knows where everything is grabs stuff things will stay organized.
If they ever do an episode like that I'd like them to test the engine dyno at a more real world temperature instead of the super low temps they test at so it more accurately reflects when they switch to it being in a closed loop system on the car.
There’s really no way to convert wheel horsepower to crank horsepower and be anywhere close to confident in the numbers….you can take a car to two different wheel dyno’s and still get different numbers even when when they’re made by the same company…. There’s so many factors involved, some of them being how long ago the dyno was calibrated, transmission fluid temp and converter slippage…
I would highly suggest you find a person who is a Mopar freak, not a fan but a freak, and have them come in as your parts manager. Teach them YOUR system and turn them loose to get the room in order. It will free up your time by not having to look for stuff yourself and it will keep the room in order for when the manager is not there.
Hey, I have identified your parts room problem as an over abundance of small block Mopar goodness! If you would like, I could stop by and purge the small block parts into the back of my truck and it would help both your parts room and your mental state immensely! I would be willing to do that free of charge in an effort to help grow your channel! Have fun with RUclips, it is a blast! I have only had my channel or short time but I'm having fun with it!
lol! I'll head over and be your grunt any day of the week man I really am excited to see more content from you! I'll help you organize, I can sweep, mop, dust...Hell I'll clean the shitter! lol! But seriously man keep em coming!
I encourage people to bring comfort food and hospitality trays ..it improves life in general. I'm hoping a Doc Brown/Mad Scientist room is on the calendar.. Nickel plating, alchemy, stun gun testing on interns... the fun stuff.
Thanks for the Video....Welcome to my World....It's Called FLAT SPOT SYNDROME....You see a flat spot and what ever you have in your hand, you set it down...fully expecting to put it where it is supposed to go...but you find what you think you were looking for and forget what you had in your hand because you're off to do what you started in the first place....The Cure Is More Space... Sadly ...it's only TEMPORARY.
Dulcich- what carburetor should I use for a 383 Chrysler, 10-7.5-1 compression, DC high performance cam ( purple cam), headers, 4 speed, and 355 gears?
This guy gets absolutely NO sympathy from me concerning this at all because lets face it 90% of EVERYTHING in that room came from builds from the various episodes plus sponsored stuff when he worked at a magazine? I mean I used to laugh when they would air an episode of roadkill or hot rod garage and they would go out and do stupid shit and supposedly "break" something knowing full well the higher up guys would give them the ok to just order a new engine / tranny / rear end and the "broken" part would end up in the trash ? Not so I can guarantee you 9/10 times the broken part isnt really broken at all and ends up in the pick up for a ride to the "farm" to be aged long enough for everyone to forget it was supposed to be broke. Not laying blame mind you just saying that all us car guys out here in TV land no what the deal is so you get no sympathy from me when you cry you gotta take time out to organize your parts room full of free sponsored shit you have aquired over the years ..BOO Hoo. that room most likely has about 4 million dollars worth of new and used parts in it.
Hey Steve! big fan. Would you happen to have a Comp 23-707-9 cam in your collection that you'd be willing to part with? I need one for my 383 build and can't find one in stock ANYWHERE. Let me know... I'd pay good $$$. Mark Shaw
Man, I can relate on organization. Every year, in the winter I say, “I’ll do it in the spring when it’s warm”, and in the summer I say, “I’ll do it in the fall, when it cools off”. So maybe in the spring…
“Holy Parts Room Steveman” I have the same problem!!! You can’t do it yourself , the OCD gets in the way. I’ll organize your parts room. You can organize mine.
Don't sell any of it. You'd regret it later when you need it. On the other hand, I could sure use an old Torker 383 or 383/400 Strip Dominator. And a cam/lifters for same. But my 383 and 727 came from a 67 Newport. I know that cams/lifters for BB Mopars always say "68-78" in the catalogs, and so do the trans kits and converters for a 727. So I don't know if I should use this engine & trans, or sell em and get a boneyard 360 Magnum. '71 Satellite street car. Came with a 318 (cracked), 904, and 8.25.
The way I "cured" (ok, treated) my Mopar collection (5 cars at one time, about 30 overall) was to become disabled, go broke, move several times, and sell off everything at a HUGE loss before each move. All I have left is my Satellite, 4 Rallye wheels (two 14s, two 15s), 4 cop car wheels, and 4 dog dish hubcaps for a 63 Valiant.
Well, Steve, it looks like the basics are there, but you need an addition to the DLSR; the HMSR ! What's that you ask ? Well, it's the Herb MacCandless Store Room ! Lookin' forward to your videos !
QR CODES : Buy a cheapy cheap QR code printer. Label each part. Buy cheapy cheap stock control software. Just have a couple of rules A) ALL new purchases get a QR code and filed correctly. B ) A a place for everything, and keep everything in its place. It will take a weekend to get it all done. Simple 🙂
If you're tripping over a set of LA 360 heads and a RV cam and lifter set with matching value springs for an 1985 w350 I can definitely help you make room for more big block stuff. JS 😉😉 But don't feel to bad about the clutter you should see my garage. lol
My parts collection is nowhere near the size of yours, but I feel your pain. One detached garage, and I have 4 motorcycles, random parts for all of them, random piles of 67 Chevy parts, as well as a few random piles of 80s Dodge parts. That doesn't include my entire wall of moving boxes, or any of tools, tool boxes or my engine stand and cherry picker. One day we WILL figure out how to properly organize. It just won't be today. Appreciate the tour!
Hey Steve by all the comments from this video. You are well liked in car knowledge and have a nice MOPAR Arsenal of parts. Mopar A body is where my heart is. I have two clean 70 Darts. Some people with great minds don’t always have time to organize. Like you said take a self day an getter done or tell David F. to do it…LOL MOPAR RULES!
W5s !!! I got a nice set. Steve You should build a max effort motor small block above 600 hp to show the Chevy guys what Mopar really has to offer through Mopar performance I myself right now working on a R3 w8 motor
Who has the bigger hoard? Dulcich or Freiburger? My money's on Steve. Hey Steve! I'll come out and help you organize! No charge! Just style me w some parts for my 383 build, lol
at the end of the day when you're done working on your project quit an hour ahead of time before you open a beer and go organize for a half an hour or so and if you do that you'll have it done by next July! it's as simple as that dolchek!
The only thing I am OCD on is my tool box and how the junk is laid out in the drawers. I can look in a drawer and I know... my 15/16 wrench is out... or a socket is out. Everyday when I close the box a quick scan and I can see if I left something out. (sticky fingered co-workers...) I could not imagine trying to keep that many parts and goodies organized.
No worries. Invite me down for a week, I'll figure out your system and put everythign in its place for you. You pay travel and popsicles. No charge for my time and labour.
If you draw up a plan to organize parts is much easier. Small item on top is the norm. Everything else goes by sections.. ignition parts, steering components etc.. I pass by near you routinely on my up to visit friends throughout Central valley, Stockton, lodi, Sacramento etc etc.. unfortunately I'm always running around or I'd stop by to give you a hand organizing. I'm a chevy, Pontiac aficionado..
Steve, wish I could be there to help sort things out! My only question is where was what Freiburger calls the goodness area? The blower shelf 671 v671 871 Paxton Etc?
Steve is flexing his stock of mopar parts. Lol
Big fan of you, Mr Steve! My fav motor trend personality
I always like Steve being on roadkill episode's he really made things interesting even though he's a Mopar guy love his inputs
I remember someone saying in one of the first RKG that he isnt a mopar guy. A lot of moparts for a non mopar guy 😅
Agree 💯 would like to meet him someday.
I've concluded that Steve is the brains behind RKG.
He's a Mopar guy, but like Dave, he knows Chevys and Fords too, and probably many others. You gotta be versatile in the magazine and tv business.
Yeah that explains why he is a bit odd.
I could only dream of a parts collection like that. very awesome.
Dulcich is like the car Einstein. An Automotive genius in knowledge and hair.
I completely love it. Keep it up brother, been watching you for YEARS on engine masters, Road Kill Garage etc... 👍
I live vicariously through you & your amazing collection at the Mopar Ranch, Steve 👍👍
Awesome .. We need longer episodes please !! Dulcich RUclips garage !!!
Put Frieburger to work in there, since you're always doing something for him that he doesn't like to do
I feel your pain Steve spend time to organize things only to find myself stacking stuff somewhere else while Im searching for something and then come back and have to move that stuff back on the shelf because its now blocking something else Im looking for and for a moment I thought Steve was in my parts room! I'll be there soon to organize your stock. Not really.
If ever there was on guy id like to meet and sit down and have a beer with it is Steve Dulcich....
Do a full shop tour on all the building projects! I love this
Steve, get a cart with wheels that roll nice and smoothly so you can put things on the cart, then move it outta the way when you are done looking. Harbor Freight dude. Videos are looking much better, kudos to your camera man.
Looks like your entire parts room is Roadkill ! Lol
Dude, there is no help unfortunately. Anyone else would not organize it the way you would like, obviously people (Freiburger) have pilfered and not replaced.
Glad to see you working on the channel, look forward to more.

Part Pits of Depression....Does Not Exist....Hot Rodding Heaven
That’s not even that bad Steve! I’ve seen much worse! Don’t be too hard on yourself. You’re doing GREAT!
Reminds me of a friend of mine that has a pile in his pole barn 10 feet high in the center with a diameter of 30 feet. Carbs, distributors, manifolds, flywheels etc... Somewhat organized and shaped like a pyramid.
I am so Bad organizing I Will buy a part knowing I have it but can’t find it and install it then find the old Part Later I was looking for.🤦♂️
I recognized the OCD'ness before you mentioned it.
A piece of something dead on the side of the road: Roadkill.
Overall I would say , Phil Spector lost in a strippers closet. Maybe Rul Paul's Drag week .
5:10 a dead piece of something that you'd find on the road , I don't know if there's a term for that- With a straight face and just keeps talking- got a chuckle out of that- how many of ya'll caught that?
Just send all that crap to me!😁
Hard to feel bad for a guy that has so many performance parts he literally doesn't know what to do with them all.
Glad to see the roadkill garage film crew is eating healthy 🤣🤣
Its nice to see that you are slowly building your youtube channel Steve. Glad to learn some new stuffs in the future
here's an idea. take a day to organize, then lock the door and don't let Freiburger in. He'll make a debacle out of it
My first thought was "that's too organized, I couldn't find nothing in there"
In the words of Hank Hill, Your putting stress on a structure that wasn't ment for it.
It's possible, just maybe, and hear me out here, that you just might have too much stuff in there. I mean, having one or two of everything is great when working on projects, but do you really need 10 of everything? Just how many slant 6 intakes do you really need at once? "Like a mad dog...going through a...dresser?" Lmao!
Production is really benefiting from your excellent set up! You might need to ask that there be a clean up at the end of every day, if you crash at the end of a long day, then still you don’t start shooting the next day until everything is cleaned up.

A little work can make everyone happier in the long run.
Holy cow that's alot of Mopar heaven in there!
I don't know that there's a term for that... I see what you did there!
I could see steve smoking a joint before shooting a episode . Lol
Awesome your RUclips channel is looking really good I've been following you for some quite some time I truly believe you're the best out of all these TV personalities you deserve your own Show And on the organization thing you just need to hire yourself an apprentice and train him It would be like having a Mini Steve Have a great weekend with love from the South side of Chicago

i'd take those used lifters over the crap available today.
Pure gold I tell ya!!
I be willing to bet he knows were everything is at lol!!
I’m so jealous of the room you have for parts. No wonder frieburger builds his cars at your house 😂😂😂😂😂
You are aware the guy is part of motortrend and has made big $?
Aside from that is a pretty down to earth guy and a good engine mechanic.
@@rollin19.... I do. Just making a joke. Love watching roadkill garage 😊
That's alot of parts!
Are you not allowed to say "road kill"?
OCD = " Obsessive Steve Disorder ".. 🙂
If you thinned the herd, it would organize easier. Send a truck load my way, I'll be happy to help !!!
Steve, great stuff, we'd all like a parts room like that, who wouldn't. Are you going to give us a shop tour? Seems like you've got a few new buildings that I haven't seen.

Take care ❤ 💅 ❤
The Parts Room looks fine to me, as is...I'm glad I found your channel...Keep Posting....wm
Steve, you are the man, seriously, and I hope you get over a million subscriber's!!! You are a great car guy, and our hobby needs people like you!
Oh By The Way... So glad you're building up your RUclips Channel.. " DullCheck Rulles "

THE DUCLICH IS BACK!!!!! Feel you pain Mr. Dulcich. I hate clutter and my wife seems to be the clutter queen. Its a constant battle!
Steve..
So happy to see you doing more videos.
Look forward to seeing more..
Best of luck to you..
Steve. I dig your thing man. You mentioned wanting to grow your youtube channel. Do a multipart build. They will come...
Here Dulcich, let me be your dad for 5 seconds:
" CLEAN YOUR ROOM!!!!! DONT MAKE ME TELL YOU AGAIN"
Whew, that brought back scary memories.

Same thing can happen with bicycle parts, not that I would know from experience....
Man, I can relate on organization. Every year, in the winter I say, “I’ll do it in the spring when it’s warm”, and in the summer I say, “I’ll do it in the fall, when it cools off”. So maybe in the spring…
😄Return of the RKG Xtra "Frieburger made a mess of my shop" videos. Excellent.
“Holy Parts Room Steveman” I have the same problem!!! You can’t do it yourself , the OCD gets in the way. I’ll organize your parts room. You can organize mine.

Simple 🙂
A crazy, mad mopar heaven collection you have there Steve....love it....✌😆
If you're tripping over a set of LA 360 heads and a RV cam and lifter set with matching value springs for an 1985 w350 I can definitely help you make room for more big block stuff. JS 😉😉
But don't feel to bad about the clutter you should see my garage. lol
You've got a system you need to make it work. Try separating things to 'Bulk', 'shelves' and 'small parts'
Unable to watch MOTD being in the UK I’ve missed this guy. Awesome you’re on RUclips 👌🏻
Hay ICAN USE SOME OF YOUR PARTS. Also with all the parts you have why Don,t you build a Chevy killer. Mark Brown
I just moved and I feel your pain! Can't find anything, the frustration is enormous... Good luck on this.
Going through 30+ years of my motorcycle parts currently and finding hidden gems mixed in myself LOL
Steve, wish I could be there to help sort things out! My only question is where was what Freiburger calls the goodness area? The blower shelf 671 v671 871 Paxton Etc?
