- I've included Super Saiyan 4 in MANY of my scenarios before, but rarely has it been the main focus of the story. Let's change that. This time around, we'll be looking at a scenario where Vegeta finds a new way to get ahead, unlocking the next evolution in Super Saiyan! Here is my take on "What if SSJ4 Was Canon?", with a full series movie edit!

Fun fact: in heroes, xeno Trunks was originally supposed to get SSJ4, thus officially confirming that half Saiyans born without tails can still access the form. Unfortunately, the designers couldn't decide on the head hair color, so they decided to play it safe and give him god instead. Fair enough, I like the little curls in his hair in that form anyway.
They should’ve kept his purple hair with the same scarlet fur from Vegeta. Like how Vegeta’s hair is slightly browned because his OG early DBZ hair was slightly brown before it was changed to black when he arrived on earth.
God Trunks (the long haired variant) looks cool and all, but SSJ4 on Trunks looks more sick and it’s sad that they never gave it to him. Maybe it’ll be something he’ll get eventually

Fun fact: ssj4 allows the user to adapt to their opponents especially their techniques. Meaning if the opponent use a technique that devastated them before will slightly affect them the second time. This was shown during Eis shenron, and syn battle against Gt goku.

I like the thought that ss4 or sayan prime is a metamorphosis instead of a form… like if they stayed in that form long enough, it would become permanent. This also hints that ss4 was using energy to complete the change. After the rebuilding of the body is completed it frees up a lot of energy making it even more powerful.
i also thought something like this. Like ssj4 was like "The True" Saiyan form. It's the beast within becoming one with the face we see.
W what if.
If I recall correctly, Goku said that he could stay for ages in SSJ4 if he wanted to. So, yeah, SSJ4 uses very little energy once activated. And it amplifies the physical abilities and durability of the fighter.
@@ravenouself4181 a bit of a late reply,but this was also shown off by Goku himself during the Shadow Dragons Saga. Goku stayed in ssj4 after fighting 3 dragons _without detransforming_ ,and the only time he did so,he got back to it almost immediately to save a falling building.

Can we agree that if ssj4 was cannon it would be the true super saiyan God form. I'm sick of them straying away from the og lore of the saiyans race. Like bring back ozaru bring back the tails that differentiate them from humans add ssj4 which come on is the best looking form out of everything.

This is a perfect idea to complete the characterisation of both goku and vegetas story rather then relying on god ki they resort to their roots to become stronger
ssj4 is honestly one of my favorite transformations, i mean ssb just looks like ssj, i still like more than the others but its just base but with red hair and slimmer. the design of ssj4 is really good and how they obtain it makes some sense.

There is something that is kinda bugging me. In this scenario, Salad keeps reminding us that Goku and Vegeta are way stronger than their canonical counterparts, which means a stronger Super Saiyan Blue. Vegeta, in Dragon Ball Super Hero stated that Jiren's powers were not in a different ballpark than the two saiyans, it's just that Jiren is more efficient in when and how he unleashes his power, having close to no waste. Unless Vegeta meant that Jiren wasn't that different when Goku was in SSBKKx20 and Vegeta was in Blue Evolution, I don't see why this scenario's Vegeta wouldn't have the upper-hand against Jiren while he was fighting as blue.

the lack of tails is not because of a loss of great ape dna from being half saiyans, its from a natural strength high enough that the tail is not a neccesity for survival and only serves as a weakness, the combat adapt saiyan body just won't grow one if you're strong enough, like how vegeta never grew a tail back
I always just viewed it as Chi Chi and Bulma cut off Goten and Trunk's tails their tails after being born, as opposed to them never having tails. Nip the problem of a rampaging Great Ape in the bud before anything gets destroyed.

@@ShadeDergon97 Tails are a recessive gene, in pure saiyans they all had it so their chidren also always had it, but with people only part saiyan they're highly likely to just not have tails, gohan got a rare spin on the genetic lottery, like someone with blue eyes, and you see some half saiyans with black hair and some without despite all pure saiyans having black hair
Also the fact it’s a recessive trait. Toriyama said it himself & the fact he forgot it existed.
The biggest plot hole is probably the fact that the earth's moon has been gone for a long time, so unless future earth got a new one, Goku Black wouldn't have gotten the inspiration.
I always assumed Dende or Kami fixed it again after Piccolo blew it up. They did after Roshi first destroyed it. Plus, the saiyans don't keep their tails in any canon except GT, so it's safe.
@alphawolf7417 tbh it's been 6mo since i watched this one so i cant affirm nor debate what you say. I just remember that in DBZ the moon came back offscreen after Goku mentions that it's probably safe since Kami cut off his tail.

In my opinion, SSJ4 Gogeta beats Beerus. It's stated that he's the strongest being in existence, and GT takes place years upon years after Z and Super, I know it's minor since that fight was literally the start, but still

Even after all this time Ssj4 is still my favorite transformation there's so much more detail on it than Super Saiyan God/Blue

Every time I rewatch this what-if movie, I can’t help but think of how much more fun DBS would have been like if Super Saiyan 4 came before Super Saiyan God and Blue. Also, seeing Broly use the Wrathful form in DBS: Broly got me thinking: ‘Could Broly potentially become the first canon Super Saiyan 4?’ The fact that both Wrathful and Super Saiyan 4 draw out the Great Ape’s power in the user’s humanoid form made me wonder if Goku, Vegeta, and Goku Black could pull either of these forms off in canon. Love this what-if movie, overall. Long live Super Saiyan 4!

That's actually one of the differences. Black never goes super saiyan in the anime, making Rosè into his Super Saiyan form (The explanation is that it's what happens when a divine being goes super saiyan). Most of these What-Ifs take more Anime continuity than Manga continuity for everything up to the Moro Arc.

I liked this, although the formula of using SSJ4 was telegraphed (by necessity), the rest of the story's elements felt fresh and I didn't feel I could predict what would happen. It was good clean fun watching to see how you would handle the scenario.
the 1 good thing about ss4 is it's energy efficient enough that it's plausable for a mortal to combine it with ssg, ssb2 and ssb3 are only possible for goku black becuase he can get around the energy drain

I think the way they could have utilized Super Saiyan 4 is by incorporating it in their base form the same way Broly had his Ikari. This would have also been interesting because this was a way for them to still keep the benefits of SSJ4 but without the drawback of being hairy all the time, maybe a simple eye change would be nice and adds to the simplicity of their transformations overall.

I was confused a bit on how Vegeta went ssj4 with the blutz waves when he could use his artificial moon, but other than that minor nitpick the scenario was fun! Ssj4 is so awesome.

To me, SSJ4 is the ultimate transformation of a pure blooded saiyan. It looks godly and has that intense aura. I hope this becomes Goku and Vegeta’s peak form in the Super manga. They need something to surpass Black Freeza now. Let it be super saiyan 4. Have it be a power that both goku and vegeta are afraid to use.

Whis told Beerus you were a cataclysm to his universe. Apparently he did not approve of ignoring his lessons on season 1 of DB Super. Fully contained ki is what is dubbed god ki. Beerus may hakai you for this… Jokes aside its fitting Bulma would figure put the way to achieve next level. I can see SSJ4 being combined with fully contained ki reaching a version of cannon base form named improperly as ssgss. If they used SSJ4 as a permanent base form plus always containing their ki it would be their true to race maximum base form.
Trunks and Goten were born with a tail but had it removed at birth, which is an excuse because Akira didn't like drawing the tail.

Gotta be honest, I never liked the name. The form isn't what comes after SS3, it's a fusion of SS and the Great Ape in their humanoid form, so something more like Primal Super Saiyan would probably work better.
It's not ssj x great ape it's ssj3 x ape , a further 10x when he turned ssj4 .
Even though the name isn't the best , i didn't mind it much . But " primal super saiyan " should not be the name cuz ssj4 is a controlled state , that name sounds like an alternative for golden great ape .
@@humanman9920 I had called it "Primal" because this might be what cavesaiyans look like. I had also thought of Super Saiyan Ape, but that might be confused with the Golden Great Ape. Do you have any ideas for a name change?
Goku and Vegeta the same people who thought the logical name of "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" was too inconvenient so they just called it Blue instead. While yes Super Saiyan 4 as a name isn't accurate because it's not a continuation of Super Saiyan 3, it's still the name Goku and Vegeta would use.
@@OmegaTheMyth Blue is more lazy than stupid, though SSGSS is a mouthful. Besides, Whis was the one who suggested it (at least in the manga).
@@thevoyagingcreator I remember Goku explaining why they call it Super Saiyan Blue in the anime. Yes, Whis does suggest in the manga. Regardless the series sets a precedent that if the formal name is too complicated, the cast will come up with an easier name. Super Saiyan 4 would be the name they use regardless of whether it makes sense or not.
I liked ssj4 in gt, though it was bizarre he could switch between adult and kid form. But i liked the form. Im surprised you didint ahve vegeta use dragonballs to wish his tail back.

I wish this progressed into the Granolah arc, UI SS4 and UE SS4 would be so crazy. Also Gohan didn't get SS4, seeing SS4 Beast would be cool. SS4 Broly would be a problem too and would be amazing to see. Possibly infuse this with more GT stuff too?
Here’s what I’m wondering:
So, as we all know, Super Saiyan + Great Ape makes SSJ4. Simple enough.
Then, Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God makes SSJSS, or Super Saiyan Blue. A bit more interesting, but still not complex.
Afterwards, as most what-if makers have it, mixing Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan God, and Great Ape into one form makes SSJ4 Limit Breaker (or SSGSS4 depending on how what-if). That’s a pretty big transformation, but if you’re familiar with these videos, relatively well-known.
But what if you take it a step back? What would happen if you mix Super Saiyan God with Great Ape, but didn’t add Super Saiyan as well? How would that mixture of God Ki and blutz waves function? Would it keep you big and as a monkey, but with red fur? Would you look like a SSJ4, but with less spiky hair? What would happen?
What about UIO/MUI/TUI (ultra instinct omen, mastered ultra instinct, true ultra instinct)

Hear me out.. if super saiyan 4 was in DBS it would basically be perfected ultra instinct for goku but he can use it anytime he wants because super saiyan 4 puts you in a point in your life where you were most strongest and for goku that would be MUI so super saiyan 4 would have the same strength as mui or tui now.
This what if unironically fixes some issues with super, for one ssg gets even more hype as well as ssb, Vegeta gets more moments to shine, even getting the win in some arcs, and obviously the inclusion of ssj4 is just the icing on this delicious metaphorical cake, I think this is my favorite saiyan focused what if on the channel, besides what if Frieza raised Goku and the 2 lssj what ifs

@Vyorus power levels dont get used after the frieza saga/arc and there are no official multipliers for the god forms and ssj4 so it depends and ssj4 has fpssj4 and ultra fpssj4 or super fp ssj4
@Vyorus Power levels have long been lost since they stopped mentioning them . You can do powerscaling which consists of feats , statements , and simply shown power differences . And by that , Ssj4 Goku from its first appearance is stronger than god form .

THANK YOU for not making ssj4 stronger than god cause it makes no sense like Ozaru multiplier is x10 and ssj is x50 so 10 x 50 = 500 and god is definitely higher than that
I personally think that ssj4 is 4000x due to it requiring full mastery of ssj and ozaru but still based of it being probably a 10x multiplier on ssj3, ssjg would still be stronger

Here's a fact everyone might not know is that ssj4 has a healing factor, altough it may not seem as instant as other types of healing in the franchise but over time while in ssj4 the body while heal wounds as shown with Eis shenron when he slashed goku's eye's then much later those eyes were magically healed in a fight against syn

When referring to obtaining his fifth form, he merely states that "Then it happened, I transformed!" and never says anything remotely implying that he worked to achieve it. Oozaru Saiyan literally means "Great Ape Saiyan" yeah not a great name. Considering Goku and Vegeta call SSGSS just Blue for short, they would just call it Super Saiyan 4 because it's easier.
Super Saiyan 4 might be adapted into cannon with ozaroo limit breaker we've already seen them giving bro leave this incredible power in sdbh so it's not unlikely that they might make it Canon and if they do I'm praying but maybe in a couple of years we get Super Saiyan 5 I know the entire OG Dragon Ball community would want this the power to shake the universe just by transforming

What If SSJ4 Was Canon
God Of Destruction Saga
Vegeta would spend months training after the defeat of Majin Buu,Vegeta intention would be to attain a form more powerful than SSJ3 and this would see Vegeta train intensely in the Gravity Chamber.
Goku on the other hand would try to gain complete mastery over the SSJ3 transformation,deciding to continue his training in the Other World and continue with the other fighters.
Beerus would decide to travel to find the “SSJ God”,deciding to travel to The World Of The Kai’s where he would locate Goku training alongside the other Other World fighters.
The other Kai’s would ask Goku not to challenge Beerus,but instead Goku would want to test his power against the deity,Beerus would easily defeat Goku,and this would lead to Goku needing to be nursed back to health.
Beerus would next switch his attention to Earth where he would go searching for the other Saiyan’s wanting to interrogate the other warriors about the SSJ God.
KibitoShin would contact Vegeta informing him about the arrival of Beerus The God Of Destruction on Earth,and warning him of the danger.
Vegeta would still try to keep Beerus under control and this would lead to Vegeta fighting against Beerus but also losing to the God Of Destruction.
Vegeta would decide to attempt one more move requesting that Beerus give him more time,Bulma would decide to use The Blutz Waves and this would Vegeta transforming into a Golden Great Ape.
Vegeta would come to his senses after his young son would approach him,wanting to remind him his father of who he is and the threat they face.
Vegeta would now revert to a humanoid Saiyan form,this form would be named by Trunks/Goten as SSJ4,Beerus would be astonished by the power but would be not too impressed knowing that it’s not godly energy.
Goku would sense this energy all the way from the Other World and this would lead to a jolt with Goku jumping to his feet after being injured,Goku would quickly rush to the battle scene.
Goku would watch Vegeta battle in this form,also being astonished by the power being displayed by Vegeta,Beerus would test Vegeta wanting to see how powerful this newest form is.
Vegeta would display a new level of power and abilities but this wouldn’t be enough to defeat Beerus,Bulma being contacted by King Kai,would inform her to gather the Dragon Balls and ask about the God Form.
Goku would gain the God Form and everything would return to normal canon with Goku absolutely pushing himself,but still failing to defeat Beerus.
Resurrection F
This would be the next arc with Vegeta/Goku deciding to travel to Beerus Planet and this would lead to months of godly training.
This arc would remain the same and there isn’t much to change about it given that there is no reason to make SSJ4 the main focus.
Tournament Of Destroyers
Goku/Vegeta would train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for over three years wanting to increase their power as much as possible.
Goku/Vegeta would manage to completely master the power of SSJ Blue able to access all of its abilities and powers without any setbacks.
Gohan/Piccolo would join the tournament with Gohan wanting to test his power after training with Piccolo for a few months since the events of Resurrection F.
Gohan would battle first against Botamo with Gohan defeating Botamo utilizing the same tactic that he used in the Tournament Of Power resulting in the atmosphere being exposed.
Gohan would next battle against Magetta with Champa wanting to setup a cage to “protect” everyone from the exposed glass,Gohan would be pushed to his limits but would still come out on top charging a very powerful Super Kamehameha after transforming into a SSJ2.
Gohan would next meet Frost but would be eliminated by Frost,after the latter used his poison needles.
Piccolo would battle next with Frost actually using the same tactic on Piccolo as well with Frost being disqualified until Vegeta refuses to allow Frost to walk away.
Vegeta would fight next after Piccolo drops out with Vegeta quickly defeating Frost,Cabba would battle next with this the events go the same,but instead of transforming into a SSJ Blue he would instead transform into a SSJ4 and quickly knock out Cabba displaying the power of Universe 7.
Vegeta would battle Hit next and actually utilize the God/Blue switch but Hit would still manage to defeat Vegeta and this would lead to the final bout.
Goku would fight last and the match would end to a draw after both Goku/Hit both pushed each other beyond their limits with Goku using the Kaioken and Hit inventing new techniques before they were completed.
Universal Survival Arc
In the Zen Expo,Goku would decide to recruit the old Turtle Hermit Team wanting to showcase his martial arts training over the years by bringing his teacher and fellow students.
Yamcha would be the first to fight with this being a pretty even battle between Yamcha battling against Basil and this seeing Yamcha defeat Basil by displaying his martial arts expertise and experience.
Krillin would next battle Lavender with Krillin also displaying his martial arts prowess as well even utilizing surprise techniques to eliminate Lavender after getting an out of bounds victory.
Master Roshi would be final match of the Xen Expo with Roshi defeating Bergamo after exploiting the amateurs power. M
Instead of going straight into the Zero Mortal Arc we would actually go straight into the Tournament Of Power.
Goku would decide to ask Gohan to go into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with his son wanting to increase his power before they head into the Tournament Of Power.
Goku would aid his son by pushing him to regain the fighter he truly is and to stop trying to be him,Gohan now receiving this would manage to transform into his Mystic Form.
Vegeta would use the opportunity to try something new,deciding to use the SSJ4 form as his primary base form a similar tactic that the Z Fighters used before the Cell Games Arc.
In the Tournament Of Power Goku would actually meet many fighters
Highly disagree with giving Super Saiyan 4 God Ki. Considering Super Saiyan 4 is not a fixed power increase, Goku and Vegeta could just train and keep using the form to power it up overtime since it's a limit breaking transformation. Giving it God Ki just makes it less unique and more like existing forms in Super. Broly and Jiren are both ridiculously powerful without God Ki so it's not like it's a must have for them to become stronger.
I find it funny you always have vegeta go ssj4 first as if it was his thing, when in official dragonball material made by Toei themselves Goku was the first to achieve it.
