Unfortunately, Tinkercad is no longer compatible with files that are converted. I'm not sure what they changed but you receive an error message upon import when you do. If you have the business edition upgrade, you can save as an SVG which works just fine. If you were looking to use Fusion360 to model the design, I'd skip this method and sketch then extrude directly in Fusion.
Now, if you were creating this design to be made in the Silhouette Alta 3D printer, just save as a Studio3 file and import that directly into the Silhouette3D slicing software. When prompted, select Extrusion as the import type.
@@bakedonmaple1196 omg are u serious? That’s what i been having trouble with. I just spent $118 on silhouette business just to save the svgs. They wont import to thinkercad. Did i just waste that money?? ;[[[[ please help!
@@goldicreates9144 If you mean you upgraded to Business Edition to be able to save as an SVG, that is not related to an online converter as in this particular question. I'd have to know more details about your software version and test it myself to see what's going on.
@@bakedonmaple1196 glad I finally found this reply. I found your other video first and have been banging my head against the wall trying to make it work. Perhaps you should take the other video down as it is no longer a solution. You are a great teacher and I wish it worked like it worked before.
Really helpful video! Thank you! How do you find the links to programs that convert to SVG files though? I don’t see them on the page anywhere.
