Is it possible to offset with the square corners instead of rounded? In particular I am trying to offset a shark bite font and it rounds the offset, I would like the more rigid bite offset.

Why does my offset create a box around my image instead of outlining the image? I just want the image to have a small outline but it creates a rectangle instead.
When I send my image to the cutter and select the image it does not highlight with the allow me select it or click on No Cut…why? Love love love this video, I’ve learned so much and will definitely be putting it to practice.

I have an initial that have a flower that runs through it, I’m using vinyl and it sized for a shot glass what is the best way to 1 cut it 2 weed it so I can the use the armor etch cream.
Hi there! To use the etch cream, you want to weed out the flower part and then apply the larger piece to your glass. Then, paint on a thick coat of the etching cream. - Dawn 🙂
Can you tell me why the Offset tool isn't thickening my font uniformly? I am using Monotype Corsiva and offset of .05 (I am not setting the corners at all). For a given letter, the offset thickens parts of the letter more than other parts ... and sometimes even rounds the thickening. Do you have any advice/hope for me?
I would check to see if it is set for an internal offset or an outside offset. You will want to make sure you have the regular offset button clicked. 😊
Hi Vicki! "Compound path" is a term used that tells your design program that you are using different lines to form one object. It's similar to grouping but with a compound path the inner lines are embedded into the design allowing a design to be filled with color. If you have any other questions, let us know! 😊

I have a Question that wasn't talked about in the video. Let's say I have 3 words. Can I create 1 big Offset bubble/cloud behind all 3 words? I saw in the video that the Offset is behind each individual word.
I have added an offset but then wanted to edit it again. Whenever I go back I get another offset. Can you go back to edit an original offset you made? Or even see its settings so you can repeat it on another word? Thanks
Hi there! You will want to attach your offset to your font and then flatten the image so it prints as one png. It will then cut around the offset rather than the letters. - Dawn 🙂

I am trying to learn step by step by doing what u are doing. Cause I am new. You end up typing your text doing it real fast. Then changing the font. Then u Selected the offset an applied. The reason why I’m trying to follow you to see if I am doing it right. but you fast forward the video to apply offset. Help help

Hello everyone one. At 2:45 in the video she moved the design to print the outline or fill first. My question is: Is it possible to simply hide a layer (instead of moving the layer)? Hiii. Please help... how can a make a stick figure and cut it out on vinyl?
I would design it in a program you're comfortable with and then upload the PNG/SVG to Silhouette Studio :)

Hey Gisele! Can you move the text so that you can manually weld the 2 pieces of the offset and then add the text back over top? 😊
