Thank you! I purchased my cameo 3 years ago and its so overwhelming sometimes to learn everything. This is so helpful and I am going to try this out this week! Thank youuuu!
Oh my goodness. You are a God send. I have a cameo 3 and have battled along for so long. You have enlightened me I am so excited to try doing labels. Thank you so much. Also excited that I can subscribe to a South African.
You have save my life ! I have a cameo 4 plus but I never use it because I don't understand the software. My maker machine will not calibrate and I have an order of stickers that I have to make by this week so I'll follow your tutorial and use my cameo instead.
Yes! I highly recommend the Cameo for print and cut over the Cricut - Cricut is amazing at a lot of things, but their print then cut needs some work :)
Thank you!! I haven’t been able to successfully learn how to print and cut on my Silhouette Cameo 3 and because of your VLOG today after 6 years I had a successful Print and cut!! Thank you. I was about to sell this machine. 🎉😂❤
Thanks for such a detailed tutorial on making stickers. I always have such a hard time figuring out how to make them the correct size. I love how you colored the different parts of the stickers, especially the text. Would love to see a more detailed tutorial on coloring text or other things. Thanks
Well that said it! Super well explained. Finally found a GOOD tutorial for the cameo 3. Hoping to find more like it on your page, I'm subscribing! Thank you
Thanks! I was too close to the gray area so my cut was always off. Didn't know about making the registration mark thicker so its easier to find. I put my paper right at the edge of the mat but it's not finding my reg mark so I made it go out of the sticky part by a little so it doesn't have any other line to get confused by. Have you used the pixscan? I don't know how to make my images brighter on silhouette studio so my cuts are always off.
I am so thrilled to hear this video helped you! I havent used the pixscan yet, but I have recently bought one so its definitely on the cards! Is your print and cut still not working properly? or is it the pixscan you are struggling with?
@@KellyRossouw my print and cut seems to be cutting correctly now. Hopefully it continues. My pixscan still giving a bit of trouble. First it's hard trying to calibrate it, then it's saying it's not matching, then the cut line is not where it's suppose to be. But I was using it at night with my light on so I need to try more when it's brighter.
Hello. I just came across your video. I somewhat understand the print and cut option but im curious and would hope for some advice if possible. I plan on using my silhouette for full business labels for products (title, ingredients, net wt, etc). Would you say the portrait would be better for this kind of niche or the cameo 3? What is the major difference besides the price, size and cut space availability? Thank you.
Hi Lemony! The portrait is a more compact, cheaper version of the silhouette, so you wont have much scalability, and can only cut up to 9inches (I think) - But it is a great starting tool for what you are wanting, eventually you may want to upgrade to the Cameo 4 (3 is only available second hand) - but you can save up to get the 4 once you have a need for it :)
Can you use a 12x12 Cricut mat with a Silhouette Cameo 3? My mat is messed up and the only mat I seem to be able to find is a Cricut. Does that work? Many thanks!
you can, but please note: they are not the same size (outside of the grid), so you will need to cut them down to get them to line up properly, and the mats are thicker, so extended use of these mats may affect your machine negatively :)
I’ve tried everything to get my cameo to line up when cutting. I use a lamp and I darken the registration marks with a sharpie but it still isn’t cutting correctly! Any other suggestions?
You are most welcome! each paper type and blade is different, I would suggest testing your cut settings before using them as mine probably wont work for you, you can use this video: ruclips.net/video/sUo9esDqTyI/видео.html
You skipped a step tho!! Did you just "print" your design or did you have to print it first with photoshop? I'm using 8.5 x 11 sticker paper... and what about the bottom stickers? Theres no "greay area" just a small red line but not a square to indicated if I can put sticker image there or not. What settings are you using to cut? I want to be able to cut the whole sheet and then flip it over and make smaller cuts so people can peel off easily instead of trying so hard to take the sticker off the adhesive side. Everytime I print in "Black and white" my ink smears. Id rather not have to keep using clear coat spray.
You print directly from Silhouette Studio :) The red line is the edge of the cut area, so make sure all of your designs are inside that red box! :) I have another print and cut video which goes in depth on the print settings: ruclips.net/video/IH2_mgrZ6kM/видео.html
@@KellyRossouw Okay I just watched that video but there are still certain things that you didnt cover. I dont think u covered the actual cut settings you used as well. Help please?
@@crispykartel I dont cover cut settings for each project as typically they tend to differ per machine, blade etc. So I have this tutorial which allows you to find your own :) ruclips.net/video/sUo9esDqTyI/видео.html

Excellent. First person that shows what to look for and how to correct mistakes.in print and cut. Thanks!
Thank you! I do plan on doing more in the future - Print and cut is so useful, but can go so wrong so easily! :)

@K M I'm not sure how to do that but I definitely will try. Thank you
Hi if I'm just uploading an svg or a png do i still have to trace or can i just print and cut them
If you have red lines in the Send panel around where you want it to be cut then you dont have to trace!
@@KellyRossouw thank you 😊
What is the biggest design for print and cut ? Thanks
As big as you can print! :)
Where do you design your logos / stickers ? I’ve designed some and it’s not tracing
I design in Silhouette Studio mostly, Sometimes in Procreate and save as a transparent png :) Have you fiddled with the threshold a bit?

Hi there! This I cut at a Blade of 3, Speed of 8, and a force of 15 :)
@K M What blade depth are you using?
Love!

The cutting mat is sticky, so the paper sticks quite easily :)

☹ Have you tried my other Print and Cut tutorial video?
@@KellyRossouw yes madam, thanks a lot now problem solved
Thrilled to hear it! Well done!
And you printed that with a normal printer?
yes! A normal Canon Inkjet printer :)
When I try to make my own size of my square Silhouette Studio changes the size after I enter my first size. Do I need to turn off a setting?
You might need to deselect the Aspect ratio lock (it looks like a little padlock) :)
