Great lesson, Kelly. I have been wanting to make layered stencils for my daughter's business logo, but didn't know where to start. Your tutorial really helps me get it organized in my head. Materials are always the tricky part for me, but your advice to test first is the right thing. Thanks for sharing your expertise and your sunny disposition.
Kelly, before I even watch the video I just have to say that your hair makes me smile every time. TBH, I've been having a rough day and just that bit of a smile really helps!
awwww Thank you so much for your kindnesss!!! Its been a rough day for me as well, so I appreciate this more than you know. Hope the rest of your week is easier and kinder to you xx
Kelly you must be psychic… I’ve been thinking lately that I must explore how to make stencils and in particular layering stencils with my Cricut! There are so many stencils now available by all the craft companies but layering stencils can be quite expensive so it would be great to be able to make them. This is a great tutorial and one I’ll definitely be availing of this Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing. 😘❤️
Kelly, you spoil us -in a wonderful way - with such great instruction, detail & sharing of your knowledge & expertise! Not only is it great to learn how to make these stencils, it offers a extra layer to my understanding of the differences between negative & positive elements in a design. I really struggle sometimes with knowing which parts of a design are to be weeded & which need to remain & therefore which areas will be applied to a blank (t-shirt, cup, etc) and which will cause parts of the item to show - especially if I want to create something more than a given design as is or know better how a cut text needs to be weeded & will look after.
I use my cricut exclusively for cookie stencils and up to now have only been doing silk mesh stencils but have really wanted to learn how to do multiple layer stencils and this tutorial was perfect! Thank you so much!
