I actually enjoyed Cora Reilly’s new book which was a huge shock for me because I really disliked the previous books in the Sins of the Father series. That said, I can understand why people didn’t like this. Although, I do think the hate Cora Reilly gets is completely over the top. Generally though Cora’s books aren’t the best mafia books and looking back at her backlist the majority of her books aren’t great. Like I love Luca, Matteo, Fabiano, Nino but then there are books like Adamo’s and Danilo’s that were just so boring so she’s always been a mixed bag for me. It’s funny because you liked Greta and Amo’s book the most but I hated that one and loved Nevio’s. I’m still waiting for the standalones she said she was going to write in the mafia world tbh.
I promptly added Brutal Vows and Tempted by the devil to my wish list. Thanks for the recs. I did purchase By Frenzy I Ruin, I figured I'd give it a shot, although not gonna lie, Cora's last Irish Mafia book - was not my cup of tea. And honestly, that is me being nice. I've been (sadly) consistently disappointed with her recent stuff. I have not read Frenzy yet, but I still plan to. I hope Cora gets some new inspiration and I don't know - goes back to basics. Her earlier work was fantastic. Thank you for the Vlog and the recs!

To be honest ,i am really hoping for the best for Leonas and Charlotte ,i have been exited for every Next Gen book and been dissapointed every time ,but if that one sucks too ,i'm really giving up on Cora ,which makes me so sad ,she used to be so great.

I was anxiously waiting to hear your opinion on the new Cora Reilly book. I have been so disappointed with the next gen books. Especially considering how much I absolutely love the books she wrote for Nino and Remo. Like those are still my all-time favorite mafia books. My honest opinion is that she has gone through so much hate in the last few years, and being attacked by people online, that her heart isn't in it anymore. You can tell by the lack of quality in her most recent works.
Yeah, and I don't want to pile on hate. I just can't hide my disappointment. I won't go shoving it in her face or anything. But I need to bow out.
The point system was fun. I decided I won’t be reading the Sins of the Father series, but you did convince me in the live show to give that labyrinth inspired book a try

I Dnf Cora last book and will not continue with the series. I couldn't get past the over description of everything in the first 53 pages and unbelievable characters (even in this fictional world).

i am so disappointed by the whole series of next gen. i love nino and remo with all my heart and I will re read them in the future for sure but this was so disappointing.
i was one of them who was eagerly waiting for navio and aurora's book since she announced the series . but cora did play dirty with these characters. those characters have a strong back and have not get full justice.
sorry to say I will not going to read any new release from cora.
I RAN here after seeing the title. Starting immediately, but I am nervous af. I really WANT to love this new Cora Reilley. 😬🫣
