Ran into pauly at the airport in February. Did my best to say hi without being annoying and as I'm chatting with him a bit this couple walked up and started fanning out and being loud and annoying so I casually walked away and let them have their moment. A little later pauly sat across the terminal from me and sent his assistant over with some shirts for me and my friends. I went over and chatted a little more with him and thanked him for the shirts and all the laughs over the years, we happened to be on the same flight, he was nice enough to sign my shirt and I left him alone. What I'm trying to say is pauly is such a dope dude and I'm glad I wasn't the one this story is about lol.
Me too! I met Pauly at a Tim Hortons in Canada. My friend and I were standing in front of him in line. He nudged me with his elbow and pointed to a dessert in the display and asked me if I knew what one of the items was. After a second I thought "This guy sounds like Pauly Shore" and I looked up and it was him. My friend and I chatted with him for a few minutes, then we shock his hand and said "nice to meet you" and we left. He was a nice guy, he actually seemed very calm and down to earth. Glad to see he is still out making people laugh.
It was always my dream to meet Mr. Shore. See, when I was a kid, I was kinda lonely so I...became kinda annoying and way too much into hearing my own voice even though everyone wishes I would just shut the fxxk up. It was my way of coping with the fact that nobody except for a few people liked me all that much. Point is, when I first saw one of his movies, it made me realize that I'm not alone, but mostly that it's...not that big of a deal that I'm "grating AF." I always liked the underlying moral messages in his movies and I appreciated that he made me feel...not so alone in this cold and dark cosmos. I understand why some people dislike him(empathy, I guess), but I always thought he was a really cool person. I always tell everyone to go back and watch Encino Man(interpersonal violence is counterproductive), Biodome(it's never too late to try to unfuck this mess), Son in Law(agriculture and closeness to nature are to be commended, not looked down upon), In The Army Now(never underestimate the importance of basic infrastructure and the people who work on it in general), Jury Duty(the legal system is retarded) and just realize how deep these movies were while also being able to express ideas in a way that was understandable to the lowest common denominator of the 90s generation. Anyway, it's probably time to reevalute just how fxxking awesome Pauly Shore is. Made some really cool comedies and also stopped me from wanting to jump off a bridge with a pocketful of rocks and sand even though my life is an absolute goddamned shitshow. Sorry for the rant. I just think we need to rethink Pauly Shore's contributions to our civilization.
@@AniJudaism Uf, I watched the trailer. I don't know if I can do it. I meant more like the roles Eugene Levy was playing 15-20 years ago. Opposite Day looks like something Carrot Top would have done.
The amazing thing about Hollywood is that an actor can have a peak then be irrelevant due to a bad script or management for a decade or longer and it just takes one role to change everything. Like RDJ / Paul Bettany / just listing 2 among many.
Agree. It doesn't even have to be the lead. He could pop up in a film where we never expected him to and kill every scene he's in. It doesn't have to be a comedy. I think he has some chops to pull off a dramatic role.
I randomly met Pauly shore on a hike at red rock, -first heard his voice and joking yelled Pauly shore- and holy shit it was him. I'm such a huge fan of his it blew my mind. I'm 25, and I've noticed lotta younger people don't know who he is but he's an absolute legend to me and we took a picture he was so rad can't wait to run into him again

Paulie Shore and Shia LaBouf seem like they'd make an optimum duo, Buddy/Horror-film, Father-Son-Scifi, Bros-Action-Comedy, Co-workers-Thriller, or a mocumentary.
Always been funny and his and his family's work opening and running the Comedy Store has been an integral part of the success of many comics. It's the Whiskey A Go Go or the Rainbow Bar and Grill for comedians.
