Definitely fell prey to a very similar experience with my ex, was my first relationship and I see many similarities in behavior. I've demoted every ex i had to acquaintances. there's no point talking or keeping updated with them, it doesn't benefit me or them at all and instead, it could potentially ruin your next relationship. it's better to avoid those kinds of dramas than take a stand on why you should be friends with ex. This is one exaggerated example of why it's good to learn to love/respect yourself before you get too emotionally attached too anyone. I know a childhood friend like this. She wasn’t always like this but it began getting worse when we were 15. It feels like she thinks it’s cool to be like this. I can just tell that she’s getting completely obsessed with portraying herself as “I’m so cool, and better.” She even told me once that’s she’s trying to act “tsundere.” I mean we both love anime but I don’t get becoming that influenced by it. Plus I always thought that character type was annoying. Every action she does is influenced by this thought process. She’s the type of person who if you don’t go out of your way to invite her she’ll get pissed at you. But if you do invite her she’ll complain how that sounds lame. Or she’ll talk proudly about how she ghosted some dude she was talking to. Or how she ditched the same guy on a date. It’s like being around someone who acts like an edgy teen in an antsy romance novel when they’re in their mid 20s now. Lately I’ve been distancing myself from her cause I just can’t take it. Everything I say to her goes in one ear and out the other. I feel bad for the friends I’ve introduced her to having to be so careful around her due to her temper.
