Nothin wrong with a melanin/race preference. You have specific traits you are attracted to, and some races have more of those specific features you are looking for than others.
Nothing is wrong with it, but if you don't find someone in your own race attractive you have issues. Having a preference is fine, but to say you don't date a certain person because of their race (same as yours) is problematic.

Plethora of white women will say they don’t like white men and that tends to follow a fetish (often for Black men) based on circumventing societal expectations and their parents requests. It tends to not really be love but more so rebellion/something to get off to and their partner suffers in the long run.
