Oh man that Hauppauge HD PVR just brought back so many memories of the old Call of Duty days!, its crazy how Hauppauge was Elgato's only real competition back in the day and now it's being listed as a budget option, Elgato had the smallest lead because of one little feature in their software (it was always recording your gameplay no matter what so you could rewind an hour or 2 and capture any gameplays you might have missed, you didn't have to press a button before every game like you did on the HD PVR) but my lord did they RUN with it!
I use the A5100 for recording my class videos. It definitely has clean HDMI output (as others have said, it's a maze of menu items). The price is back to normal at around $450. I run it through the CamLink and the video looks amazing. I am using a "fake" battery kind of thing so it can run as long as I need.
Seriously, i have a T6i with a 50mm f/1.4 canon lens for this, i used for streaming, it's absolutly amazing but when the battery dies that kills the stream mood. So, now, i use my Samsung Galaxy S9+ with the IVCAM software (i paid for it like 10 bucks) with a usb3.0 and works absolutly great, 1080p60 and 4K60 (not kidding, extremly fluid 4k 60 with no lag). Added some LUT for the color and waw. You can check it on my stream at twitch.tv/moustalgie (not asking for a follow, not at all i promise, just showing how great it is). And you should review a phone with IVCAM software (everyone has a phone) and compare it to webcams and dslr.
Could you make a Zoom specific video? I heard you can set OBS to appear as a web cam, and use OBS to switch between the actual web cam, music videos, and other congregation materials. Because trying to do share-screen in Zoom is terrible
Using a ELGATO CAM LINK 4K + Sony A6400 on my videos ... works perfectly. Extra little tip - Make sure you have your ISO setting correct as sometimes if it's on auto can make your image quality look like a 1 megapixel camera :)
Just like to say that Ezcap 294 is a great capture card for streaming! I use it alongside a sony camcorder and it works flawlessly in OBS, just a great option with worldwide shipping from AliExpress. Btw, congrats on becoming a father!!!
I've been searching for a mobile app that allows you to use your smartphone as a webcam (and retain good quality) and THE BEST solution I found (for iphone users) is to use OBS Camera. It's like 10$. This app is amazing. It lets you control your bitrate, resolution, fps, brightness and all of that! It even supports NDI! There's an OBS plugin so it can work trough usb and there's basically no latency or it's very minimal. I've been using it for years and it's been magical. You get the amazing iphone camera to be your webcam! Now that the new iphone se came out people could get amazing webcam quality for the cheap if they buy that phone anyway.
So I bought a Canon M50 Refurb from Canon USA's site last month, it was $479, but right now it is only $359! I even contacted them today and they refunded me the difference in price. It comes with a kit lens 15-45mm. Shoots 4K 24/30fps if you want to do some vlogging or video shooting, as well. With the EOS Webcam Utility, it functions very well in OBS. It's a steal.
Congratulations on the new baby. I just installed the Canon EOS Beta and it works on my EOS Rebel T3. I installed the software on the T6 download page.
I used the Yi 4K Action Cam for a long time on my channel with good results. Now the Canon M50 goes on sale direct from Cannon refurb cheap w/ Lens and Cannon has released software to turn it into a clean feed via Webcam drivers so you do not need a capture card. It seems that the resolution and possibly refresh rate suffer not capturing it but its totally usable for the money, gives you all the DSLR controls and of course you have a great camera to use when not in a capture situation.
I just picked up a couple of reconditioned Vixia HF R800 camcorders directly from Canon for $150 each ... and they came with a warranty. Congratulations on the new baby!
And they are now $219 - I was thinking about the Vixia line, but I though someone said whatever model I looked at didn't have clean HDMI - have you checked the R800 yet
I tested my very old camcorder from back in 2011 the Sony HDR-CX130E. it has a clean HDMI out even if there is some UI on the screen of the camcorder. 720p/1080p with 50 or 60 FPS (depends if you have the PAL or NTSC version of it) also the display can be turned on the whole time and the power adapter can either load the camera with the battery, without it would just power the camera so you don't have to worry about getting an adapter or something. the video is a bit noisy but not too much. you can get it for 60-80 €/$ but I think newer model would be better
@EposVox this is all to say a couple years ago work and life halted first attempts to get streaming... and I was thinking "there has to be an alternative to that CAM LINK by now" Hell ya brother. I KNEW your channel would have answers. Yet again. Thanks man.
I did not over pay at all. As I could not find any of the web cams or video capture devices anywhere, I downloaded software from NDI called NDI 4 Tools. You only need Studio Monitor and Virtual Input and I was then able to use my iPhone 8 as a streaming web cam. You can use either camera on your phone,, and there are settings for zooming the image, exposure com etc. You run the NDI app on the phone which in turn sends the signal via wi-if, to you own wi-if network. Your desktop receives it, and you use Studio monitor to see and frame up your phone, and virtual input to direct the video and audio to any other program. I use it with Zoom and with Google Hangouts. I tend to have my hone plugged in as calls are usually 2 hours which means that my battery runs down to about 20%. The video quality is as good as will ever be needed and I did not have to purchase a thing. The NDI software is available for Windows, Mac desktop, iPhone/iPad, and Android phones. NDI even has an instructional app on their site to help you set things up- it is actually easy as sin.
I can attest to the M200 with Sigma lens. Best upgrade I did from the GoPro Also, upgraded from camlink 4K to 4K60 Pro. Telling you right now my stream quality has boosted amazingly ❤️
I discovered that you can use the LAN connection in the Streamlabs app on your phone. What that means is you don't need to download those other NDI apps and then add the plugin to OBS. There is latency of course.
For android smartphone, you can use iVCam via USB cable (usable via WiFi as well). Totally worth it to pay for it. Low latency, up to 60fps, able to use all your phone cameras (one by one) and full quality. I've been using it for OBS/Zoom.
Congrats on the new arrival! I have a Cannon Vixia and I was able to set it up via a capture card, but it kept timing out unless I was in record mode & ran the battery out in record mode. A) What am I doing wrong B) What's this about wall power? I'd love to use that as my main streaming camera instead of the webcam I settled on.
For the go pros, I would personally recommend the go pro hero 2018 used from eBay because you can easily change the firmware to a go pro hero 5 black. The go pro hero 2018 is just a nerfed hero 5 black. I got it on eBay for $76 and the hacking process was as easy as dragging a couple files to the sd card and clicking update firmware.
I have long used the Canon Vixia HF R700 as a webcam (with an "old" CamLink), and it works great. Came with a cable to run it off AC, no extra cost or the risk of a knockoff "dummy battery", and it stays cool. The picture's just a little soft, but honestly that's better for some of us.
I got one of the last Keylight Air from Best Buy. Unfortunately, the base is broken, but still usable. I might just see if I can get a replacement base from Elgato since I do not think I'll find this in stock again.
51 years old and i have decided to get my ps3 back out and start gaming again. got to do something in this time of covid lockdown. Wanted to record some gameplay and upload to youtube. who knew it would be so hard to do on the PS3 in 2020. because of the (HDCP) digital copy protection . wanted a new elgato but the thing is $350.00 on Amazon and not going to risk $70.00 on a used one from Ebay. So i went with the HD-PVR-2 from Amazon for $130.00. Hope i made a good decision. wish me luck ! thanks for a great video.
Thank you so much. I have to teach my costuming and makeup fx classes online come this fall, and your recommendations are so helpful. Congrats on the new addition to your family!
Dude, thank you so much for this video! I have been looking for a camera to live stream a gig I have coming up and there are just so many options out there that it's overwhelming but you simplified this!
“Camera for OBS” which I think is iPhone only, works well for bringing video in to OBS. The stereo audio on the newer iPhones is a problem apparently, but I only use for video. Seems fairly solid with no lag if connected by USB. It can also connect using NDI but that has some latency. The video quality is awesome.
Congrats to you both and a great video. Whilst I don't have any interest in streaming per se, I have forwarded this video to another RUclipsr who has just started streaming more to point him in your direction for ideas etc than anything else.
For using iPhones/iPads as capture devices for streaming: If you're using standard OBS, there's an app available called obs camera (obs.camera) which outputs video over USB with super low latency. The only downside is that it isn't supported by Streamlabs OBS. (There's a feature request for this open already, but no word as of yet) That said, if you're running Streamlabs on a mac, you CAN use an iOS device plugged in as a video source - but it captures the screen. That said, you open the camera app and crop out the on screen controls if you want to get something up and running really quickly. If you're slightly more developer oriented (as I am), Apple has an app available as sample code from their developer site that showcases how to use the camera. It's already built, but I made a few tweaks to get a full sized video without having to crop anything out. If you do this, don't forget to put your phone into Do Not Disturb (Always) mode, otherwise your viewers will see your WhatsApp notifications (ask me how I know). I've done a couple of streams using a custom video capture app (based off the aforementioned sample code) on two iPhones to provide extra angles that connect to Streamlabs via USB and it works pretty well with near zero perceivable latency.
You can now plug Canon cameras in via USB and use them as a webcam (in beta). Works on most Canon DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras (supported list on website). I have a camera that isn't on the list, but if you select the driver that is closest to your camera, it might work - mine did. Deffo worth it.
Elgato Cam Link 4K is still pretty reasonable on eBay (albeit double the normal price) vs. Amazon and other retailers at 3x-4x. I personally need a 4K to stream my DSLR, so there isn’t an alternative available to my knowledge without settling for 1080p.
You should also try iVCam for iOS, in the free version you have some watermarks, but the full version also only cost ~10$, it works over WiFi with some latency and also over usb, which pretty much eliminates all latency issues
This has been my exact issue, I moved recently, and have loads more free time. I picked up a a5100 used, and other stuff used or open box. I was looking for a Cam Link 4k, but wouldn't dare spend more than normal advertised price, streaming is just a bored hobby I'm looking in to. Thank you for covering great alternatives!
Thank you so much for all the info! I have been using my pixel 2xl and IV cam via USB for streaming my zumba classes on zoom and twitch at the same time.. I use obs for twitch. I have to wire my speaker so I don't get the sound delay, but it's top notch! I stream at 1080p60fps
THANK YOU THANK YOU YOU SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY I WAS GOING TO PAY $300 FOR A CAM LINK! THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES JUST SUBBED SO I CAN KEEP UPDATED WITH INFORMATION. YOU'RE FREAKING AWESOME MONEY SAVER!
My current stream camera is my old Canon Vixia HF M500 (an older model of the one you recommended) and it's great, looks much better than most people's stream cameras and I'm sure you can find them cheap now. It also Handel's Low Light mich better then my DSLR
for £220 just picked up the Avermedia (GC573) 4k capture card, and a HDMI 2.1 cable. Ebay the the (GC573) is going for like £30 more, also picked up the Panasonic Lumix G7 4k camera a few months ago from CEX for around £250 and that came with the 14-42 mm lens
Yes, those cheap knock off versions of GoPro are just about doable for Vlogging and later editing and uploading,. But they are awful for livestreaming with. Normally can only output at 720p at best and on that tiny sensor, will generally make you look like you're on the Mir space station, circa 1994. Congrats on the new baby!
Take care of your family my man. Plug as many ads and sponsors as you need in order to take care of yourself and your family (Congrats BTW!). Regardless of who doesn't like it, you are a reliable source here on YT whose recommendations and reviews can be trusted. If you were shady it would be different ;-)
I've been running a GoPro hero4 Black for my overhead shot in my workshop, using a cloner alliance 4kp+ capture via the HDMI. Its been great. plus they're like $60 on ebay.
Yo Vox! You encouraged me to start streaming a long time ago and I've always like these videos where there's a critical point of view. Keep up the amazing videos and congrats on parenthood!
I'm using my sister's canon rebel t6 and I just plugged it into my computer and used window capture for their software and cropped out all the other stuff in the window, but i do really want a capture card thing like the comlink, but even before covid, they were too expensive for me. Thanks man for helping me out
This video is why the internet is the best! I have a question. I was thinking of turning my GoPro 4 Black into a web cam for my Zoom online classes. However, do you think the knockoff is a better buy and does it work with Macs as a webcam?
Congrats on the baby!!! If I buy the canon do I need a capture card or does their new plugin download work smoothly? Saw this option on Alpha gaming. I don’t have a capture card :(
To bridge the gap between a C920 and mirrorless->capture card, I've been VERY pleased with the obs.camera (iOS/Windows) app using my old iPhone 8+. Lightning/USB connection to the PC, camera settings, and the ability to turn the screen off. Pretty cool! Currently capturing 1080p @ 60fps.
If you have an old cellphone and are a bit tech savvy, you can use an NDI app on the phone and OBS with the VirtualCam to create a pretty decent webcam. The android version off the app is discontinued but if you google ndi apk mirror it's not too hard to find :) (Also make sure the NDI source is set to "source timing")
Thank you for the videos. I decided to return the Brio webcams and go with two Cannon Vixia HF 800 camcorders, a Black Magic Atem Switcher so that I can teach my lab classes online.
Great low cost suggestions, but I have two comments. One, cameras require capture cards (mostly) and capture cards are the number one price gouged item right now, particularly if you want a quality and tried and true brand like Elgato. Two, a lot of this will not work on a Mac, and while that is just the way it is, I wish all reviews such as this would make it clear so that newbies like me don't end up spending hours downloading software, or buying the wrong products and scratching our heads wondering why they don't work. Congrats on the addition to your family.
The video does address the capture card situation as well as providing UVC alternatives which will work with MAC. (Both the AGPTEK and PUTELTAL 4K are UVC capture cards and will work fine on Mac.)
@@willburley , perhaps, but reading the reviews on Amazon, I want to stick with mainstream, brand name, tried and true products like Elgato. In normal economic times, the Elgato 4K Cam Link would be the (affordably priced) device I would buy, and I would buy it from either Amazon, or ideally, in person at Bestbuy, so that I could be assured or a no hassle return. Like EposVox here, I refuse to shell out $350-$450 to an unknown company and then wait weeks to months for a product I could have bought sooner for $150, or less, and that's why I tuned into this video. Nothing specific, and certainly not personal here, but running Apple Macs (a 2019 iMac and a 2019 Mac Book Pro), I have been down many roads toward using my Nikon Z6 as a webcam - which is my goal - only to find I wasted a lot of time. FWIW, I'm not a gamer, I've only this week discovered Twitch.tv , but I do have a present, and anticipated, need for video conferencing. I also have wonderful Nikon cameras and I would love to put the two together. From my adventures with this effort, it seems I would be best served to wait. Thanks for your comment.
Just an audio tip. You can add a Cloudlifter preamp to that SM7B and it will add a ton of gain. You could take the mic completely out of the shot and get really clean audio.
The Sm7b is not at all designed to be used at that distance. So while you can compensate for the gain dropoff, the sound characteristics are completely changed and not at all how I’d want it to sound. Doing that is $400 wasted using the mic wrong when you could have bought a pencil condenser or a shotgun mic instead. (Which I’ve also made videos on)
@@EposVox Have you tried it with a Cloudlifter? Works surprisingly well. Check out my overdrive pedal shootout video on my channel. That’s how I recorded my intro to the video. I think it came out well. The SM7B is my favorite jack of all trades mic. Super versatile! I used to have a Sennheiser MKH 416, and I’d rather use that in a similar situation, but I haven’t found a cheaper shotgun that makes me feel as happy with the audio quality yet. SM7B is just amazing.
Please answer my Question, lol. First CONGRATS on the newborn. I have a Sony a6100, but now I can't buy a cam link. Since Warzone I've been only streaming PC titles and haven't streamed my console. Can I use the elgato 4k60 card for my Sony a6100 to use as a webcam since I'm not using it ? If yes what setting would I use on the card in obs and what settings should I use on my Sony ? I'm new to DSLR. Also would it be more demanding on my PC using the 4k60 card than if I had the cam link since I'm single PC streaming using New Nvenc. I have a i9 9900k and a 2080 ti 32gb ram.....One more thing is it okay to have max quality on the new nvenc for stream and recording or am I supposed to pick one to have MAX Q and the other Quality. Thank you so much in advance. I've searched and couldn't find anything helpful.
iVcam phone app. $10 after a free week trial. I plug my old OnePlus 3T in, and BAM. Off to the races. And when I want a better quality webcam I plug my S10 in. Manual exposure and ISO controls, up to 4K60, best $10 I've ever spent, considering any webcam under $100 is worse than my phone. Oh, also allows me to use my ultrawide and from facing sensors!
@@EposVox you NEED to explain how to perform the adp forwarding on the ip_cam, I've been looking to have a cabled connection to use my Android phone as a webcam, please
@@salmiakki5638 I've been using DroidCam for a while, it is pretty easy to use, you have to have the app on your phone and on your PC, open them, then on the PC app, you need to set the device IP to match the IP of your phone (the phone app shows what it is, in case you don't know how to find it), make sure the ports are matching (it is by default set to 2000 on both, so you shouldn't need to change anything here), and then you just need to click start on the PC app. You can also use it via USB, then you just need to have matching ports, I suggest you use it over USB though, it is more stable than WiFi for me, and I have a rather good router. There are some controls that are only available in the Pro version of the app tho, but it isn't really needed if you have alright lights
Not all things mentioned are sold in The Netherlands, however, if you want to see if the price has changed, you can search for it on tweakers.net/pricewatch. "Prijzen" (prices) or "Prijs" (price) are the tabs you're after on the product pages. Below the prices of the various (Dutch) webshops, there's also a "average & minimum price over time" graph, just so you can get an idea of what the price used to be. (blue = average price in the listed shops, green is lowest price)

wrt canon dslrs: on linux you can just install the obs-gphoto plugin and pull your "live preview" straight into obs over usb. That's how I've been using my 550D for a while now and the only things you have to be careful about is power consumption (I run mine of a usb/dc adaptor brick) and overheating of the cpu during extended use (It will beep at you and turn off if you forget to turn it off and it gets to warm. No clue if there's a windows equivalent to it.
Okay, you've convinced me to head over to ebay and start selling my unused CamLink, DH60S, extra Stream Deck, etc - if only I could find where I put them!

You get the amazing iphone camera to be your webcam! Now that the new iphone se came out people could get amazing webcam quality for the cheap if they buy that phone anyway.
I still can't believe people are not talking about this app, it's revolutionary. Here's the website if anyone is interested obs.camera/

You're welcome, its free
So I bought a Canon M50 Refurb from Canon USA's site last month, it was $479, but right now it is only $359! I even contacted them today and they refunded me the difference in price. It comes with a kit lens 15-45mm. Shoots 4K 24/30fps if you want to do some vlogging or video shooting, as well. With the EOS Webcam Utility, it functions very well in OBS. It's a steal.
Congratulations on the new baby. I just installed the Canon EOS Beta and it works on my EOS Rebel T3. I installed the software on the T6 download page.
God I remember when I was starting out RUclips, the HD PVR was all the rage, its so weird seeing it in 2020 🤣
I used the Yi 4K Action Cam for a long time on my channel with good results.
720p/1080p with 50 or 60 FPS (depends if you have the PAL or NTSC version of it)
also the display can be turned on the whole time and the power adapter can either load the camera with the battery, without it would just power the camera so you don't have to worry about getting an adapter or something.
the video is a bit noisy but not too much.
you can get it for 60-80 €/$
but I think newer model would be better
Congrats on the new baby! I hope everyone is healthy and happy.
Congrats on the new baby. Stay safe.
Elgato was short on the Camlink 4K supply BEFORE pandemic hit. Congrats on the baby!
Best upgrade I did from the GoPro
Also, upgraded from camlink 4K to 4K60 Pro. Telling you right now my stream quality has boosted amazingly ❤️
I discovered that you can use the LAN connection in the Streamlabs app on your phone. What that means is you don't need to download those other NDI apps and then add the plugin to OBS. There is latency of course.
As a Dad of 2, I seriously recommend that you get your clutter in order if not for your sake, for theirs. Great vid as usual! 🤟👍
It's in order, don't worry.
For android smartphone, you can use iVCam via USB cable (usable via WiFi as well). Totally worth it to pay for it. Low latency, up to 60fps, able to use all your phone cameras (one by one) and full quality. I've been using it for OBS/Zoom.
Is it good for video recording ? Talking head videos.
@@ironlake8944 Pretty good, but you may want to use a separate shotgun mic for better sound.
@@andeelym yes i have rode mic
Thank you for being so incredibly helpful. And congratulations on becoming a father!
Congrats on the new addition to your family, stay safe and healthy.
Congratulations on the baby! That is awesome!
Congratulations on the baby!
Congratulations on the birth of your child. That is wonderful!
What do I gain from this firmware update in comparison to the normal go pro hero 2018?
I have long used the Canon Vixia HF R700 as a webcam (with an "old" CamLink), and it works great. Came with a cable to run it off AC, no extra cost or the risk of a knockoff "dummy battery", and it stays cool. The picture's just a little soft, but honestly that's better for some of us.
I got lucky and was able to snag the LAST Camlink 4K from Best Buy that I had to drive 30 mins to pick up.
I got one of the last Keylight Air from Best Buy. Unfortunately, the base is broken, but still usable. I might just see if I can get a replacement base from Elgato since I do not think I'll find this in stock again.
Thanks for the update. Congrats on your new baby. Hope all goes well!
The video quality is awesome.
obs.ninja
It's free
Little tip. Droid can for andriod is a great way to get a USB camera from your phone to PC.
Congrats on the new addition!!
Congrats on the baby!! How did you stream using a GoPro? I dont know how to connect to my stream
Super helpful video! Congrats on the kiddo!
Congrats to you both and a great video. Whilst I don't have any interest in streaming per se, I have forwarded this video to another RUclipsr who has just started streaming more to point him in your direction for ideas etc than anything else.
For using iPhones/iPads as capture devices for streaming:
If you're using standard OBS, there's an app available called obs camera (obs.camera) which outputs video over USB with super low latency.
The only downside is that it isn't supported by Streamlabs OBS. (There's a feature request for this open already, but no word as of yet)
That said, if you're running Streamlabs on a mac, you CAN use an iOS device plugged in as a video source - but it captures the screen.
Congrats dad welcome to club. Hope baby is much more better. Take care and keep making videos
You should also try iVCam for iOS, in the free version you have some watermarks, but the full version also only cost ~10$, it works over WiFi with some latency and also over usb, which pretty much eliminates all latency issues
Congrats to you both on the baby, very cute. Always love the cat cameos too. 👶🐱
I use the DroidCam app with a Moto x4, works great and I don't see any lag.
I got my sony alpha 5100 from ebay for 250€ - there's nothing broken, nothing was missing and everything works how it should.
I'm happy.
Congrats on parenthood!
Great info. Thanks. And congratulations on the new addition to your family.
Take care of your family my man. Plug as many ads and sponsors as you need in order to take care of yourself and your family (Congrats BTW!). Regardless of who doesn't like it, you are a reliable source here on YT whose recommendations and reviews can be trusted. If you were shady it would be different ;-)
Great video! Midway through, I actually went on amazon and canceled the $900 camera I just purchased!!!!! So uhhhh, THANK YOU!!!!
Congrats on your baby, man! And another super-informative video. Love your work.
I'm using my sister's canon rebel t6 and I just plugged it into my computer and used window capture for their software and cropped out all the other stuff in the window, but i do really want a capture card thing like the comlink, but even before covid, they were too expensive for me. Thanks man for helping me out
Great info and great job for slapping this together still really good! And congrats on the baby welcome to fatherhood!!!
4:00 Honestly I thought it looked better before XD
This video is why the internet is the best! I have a question. I was thinking of turning my GoPro 4 Black into a web cam for my Zoom online classes. However, do you think the knockoff is a better buy and does it work with Macs as a webcam?
Congrats !🎈🎊 yeah video dose look thrown together are you editing yourself?
Congrats on the baby!!! If I buy the canon do I need a capture card or does their new plugin download work smoothly? Saw this option on Alpha gaming. I don’t have a capture card :(
To bridge the gap between a C920 and mirrorless->capture card, I've been VERY pleased with the obs.camera (iOS/Windows) app using my old iPhone 8+. Lightning/USB connection to the PC, camera settings, and the ability to turn the screen off. Pretty cool! Currently capturing 1080p @ 60fps.
Congratz, Epos! Happy about you. And great video.
Congrats on the kid, man! Hope you are enjoying the test of being a father, and thanks for the vid!
Congratulations for the baby!!!
Thank you for the videos. I decided to return the Brio webcams and go with two Cannon Vixia HF 800 camcorders, a Black Magic Atem Switcher so that I can teach my lab classes online.
Great video as always and CONGRATS on the baby!
"I just had a baby, I got bills to pay." I LOL'd at that so hard.
How much will you sell your baby for. Can't I get a discount as it's 2nd hand.
Jumped on the HD60 S+ since they were in stock at Corsair. Hoping to see if the new RasPi HQ Camera has potential.
Congrats on the baby geek!
iVcam phone app.
Is that NDI HX Camera or Capture app available for Android? If not, you know when it's coming?
Not yet :/
The original NDI app got taken down no clue when back
@@EposVox Bizarre. Keen to do a dedicated video on it. Africa has a lot of Android devices and very little money for webcams.

Dude your sound quality is superb! What's your setup like? Pray tell.
Great video, congrats on the new arrival!
Thanks for doing this, also what's your thoughts on DroidCam?
And what do you recommend for a solid pop filter? I picked up an AT2035 and I do have mic technique down, but I'd still like to have one just in case. I'm in Canuck land.
Thanks for that video bro. Will try the adb solution. In my case, smartphone deliver exacly the result i need. But too much of delay via ndi, and too much problems in hdmi when suppored (ex conflict between Galaxy S8 and cam link 4k)

wrt canon dslrs: on linux you can just install the obs-gphoto plugin and pull your "live preview" straight into obs over usb.
I just got a used GH5 with a simple lens and V-log included for about $1500.
