For future reference, nobody’s going to waste time and money adding an effect to a movie that doesn’t make any sense. Especially in a “realistic” movie such as this.

For me, second one is just an "ok" movie with the pacing being the main problem.
I remember the first time my wife told me "gun" in a very solid, crisp voice with her hand giving me a "STOP" signal in a convenient store late one night. She was on alert and ON POINT! That was one crazy situation.
