An elegant lady...one beautiful line to a sensible man... his reaction...going out of his normal for her... puts this scene in an entirely different league altogether! Savage 🔥
I have tremendous respect if he actually drove slow in his regular life because he is right the higher speed the higher risk of everything going to hell

Love this scene. The tifosi, the casual encounter, all of it. And what a great introduction to a wife to be. But all I can think about the whole time is "no seat belts, no seat belts".
It is a realistic scene from driving in Italy in 1975. Seat belt were mandatory on new cars only from 1976, and it was required by law to fasten them in the front seats only in 1988. Even in early 90s was common to see a lot of people driving without fastened seatbelts.
4:44 is when i truly loved the scene, most race scenes in movies in actuality show a gear lever being forcefully put into reverse. Its the tiny little things that make it work from her eyes and slight lean in when asking to tiny little touches like this one simple shift.
One thing I found a little weird was when he was driving slow his foot at 4:37 was all the way down on the accelerator. Other than that the scene like you mentioned was perfect, unlike some movies where a car while racing has atleast 20 gears. 🤣🤣

Make sure you drive in a way your girl feels safe. I drive fast, yet responsible, and my girl isn't scared. Only when weaving through traffic at 200+ but I stopped doing that.
It only worked because in this scene she was curious and wanted to see him drive like that. Niki only started driving like that when she asked him to (he doesn't just randomly drive like that all the time). For me I'm more impressed by how Niki seems to have a very sensible attitude about not taking additional risks when driving regularly
