Res Ipsa, latin for "the thing itself" so basically Res Ipsa Doozy would mean "the thing itself(in this instance, the case) is unique" its a quick way of telling the judge the case is gonna be interesting.
Its a play on Res Ipsa Loquitur which is just "the thing speaks for itself" which allows the court to use circumstantial evidence as proof of the claim. The child not wanting to leave with her parent is circumstantial evidence proving the parents might be doing something bad and/or negligent.

I appreciate the moment when the lawyer affirmed that the daughter is being represented by counsel, which brought a reassuring smile to the girl's face. This illustrates the fundamental sense of security that every citizen should experience, knowing that justice will be upheld. Regrettably, this level of assurance is not consistently found in Pakistan.

Its tradition in many countries. Most of them however wait until the later teens to start consulting the child. Like my friend Dmitri was 17 when his father and his “soon to be” wifes father started to interrogate him to see if he and her would be a fair match, they were compatible but both didn’t have a love at first sight thing and never went further . Most fathers wants sons to be married to attractive yet traditional or submissive women, fathers of daughters want her to be treated fairly and respectfully and be able to be given average or above care (income, house, medical, food, etc) as fathers should want the best for their offspring as they often go for looks alone in the younger years of life.

@@clorissariley2314this particular scene is from Th Practice. Boston Legal was a spinoff and continuation of The Practice (the guy playing the lawyer was one of the leads in Boston Legal. It's a great show especially if you like legal shows). Both shows are great for bingeing

I’m sorry but no, it is not the United States responsibility to bail out every country that is experiencing strife… when we can’t even house our disabled and broken veterans and we can’t even make sure than our children in poverty are fed everyday, and in healthy living conditions, because we are all struggling, mentally, emotionally, financially and physically as a country! No this is “not how it should be for anyone in danger.” I’m sorry but if you happened to be dealt the losing hand and were born in a country that exploits and hurts their citizens, that’s just unfortunate… it’s not the responsibility or obligation of any other country to save them. America is the only country that does this, Germany doesn’t, Scotland doesn’t, Australia doesn’t… immigrating to seek asylum, by going through the proper channels. And acclimating to AMERICAN life, not trying to make American neighborhoods and communities into little China or little Haiti, when you’re being invited to come stay here… you still need to respect the people who are hosting you. Just as you would be expected to respect the host family you stay with if you take studies abroad, or stay at bed and breakfast type inns.
Sure it sounds nice to say, “help them” but does that mean you’re willing to let vagrants off the street come to live with you in your home, because “they are in danger and they need help.” I’m sure you wouldn’t do that, and I’m sure if the government made it law that we had to house asylum seekers, if you’re a home owner or property owner, i highly doubt you’d just roll out the welcome mat. So why are we expected to do this as a country? Especially when we can’t even protect our own!?
