Goosebumps! To all the haters, you haven't got a clue, there's very minimal politics with Bullet on this tour. Best I've heard it since the Vertigo Tour.
The very best version of Bullet the Blue Sky live is Slane Castle Concert in Ireland. Edge rips up on the solo and all the other lads are in top form in that one..... The best!
LOL at the comments...if you don't want to hear a U2 concert with politics in it, don't go to, watch or listen to a U2 concert...they've been blatantly political in their music and shows for 35 years...if you're just now noticing, that's on you...
But the definition of politics at a U2 show has dramatically expanded from maybe BTBS and one sermon, to now permeating the show now more than ever. Plus, all the talk about respecting women, how about Bono try to stop trying to bang 20-year old American girls on Edge's non-carbon neutral Yacht. If you care about the environment, then why did environmentalist oppose The Edge building a home on the Malibu ridge? If you care about social programs, then why does U2 take Donald Trump's approach and pay the lowest possible rate? Don't mind politics, but have your home in order before you throw stones.
yea, well the problem is the total inversion of said politics from then to now, Chucky. they've gotten rather gross. raysondetre.tumblr.com/post/162616204510/u2-do-canada150
my introduction to finding this song was a cover by p.o.d. on thier album " the fundamental elements of the south town " my dad played heavy metal on the drums even when I was a child and my mom is super Christian so I bought the p.o.d. CD at a church it was still as dope as metal or hip hop rather important CDs back in the day were very important like the only way out
What? U2 political? And, on "Bullet the Blue Sky"? Bullet the Blue Sky was and always will be a political song. The song is about America and the guy in charge, whomever that guy might be . . . now 30 years later, its relevant again, and has its bite back. Who thought they were going to go to a U2 concert and not hear about politics? Particularly, now? Deal with it.
U2 is a great live band, and I must admit, in my younger days I liked the self-righteous, self-important, over-the-top, political posturing----nowadays not so much. hell Bono and the boys are only about a year or two younger than myself----they were part of the soundtrack of my life---so for old-times sake I'm going to see them in Kansas City this September: it'll be the 5th time I will have seen them(ZooTV, PopMart, Elevation, and Vertigo tours previously). The political shtick is just part of them and their act: I understand why many find it tiresome----because it is.....but they wouldn't be U2 if they didn't do it-----so there it is. Back in my college and graduate school days I found it "cool" when entertainers got so into "social justice": now I see them as a bunch of hypocritical frauds who, while entitled to their opinions like anyone else, are most unnerving and wearisome when they preach to ordinary people who do not live in mansions and gated communities, with hundreds of millions squirreled away, and flying on their own private luxury jets. So rock on dear ol' U2!----and I'll just step over and around the political turds you drop during the show!
Agree ! Great band but can't stand when they to shove their leftist politics on us. Not everyone agrees with you Bono! Keep your politics out of the show . You alienate half your fans. The point is, whatever side you're on, we go to show to get away from that stuff, not hear about at the show.
This song is 30 years old and you're just now realizing it's political? I guess you don't want to hear "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "Walk On," "Miss Sarajevo," "Mothers of the Disappeared," "Please", or "Pride (In the Name of Love)" either, huh?
How much better was the song without bono using a megaphone spouting some political thing. yes we know it's a political song. It being played like it is on album is so good. Can't remember when they played it live like this if ever
They are sounding amazing
Long live this song and rock n roll! LOVED it. 💙👍🏼🙏🏻😊💙
They sounds great!

Saw the Santa Clara show. Bono' voice was great. Edge being Edge and the boiler room solid as usual.

(0:00) It is just after With or Without You. The sunset of the time lapse video had faded.

I'm really disappointed with this version of btbs and other songs I have heard.. previous versions on
other tours are far better than this !
what are you smoking, the recent versions are the best 2015 and 2017,,,,by vertigo the song had been so overplayed, it sounded like airport music....
According to this comment section celebrities aren't allowed to have political opinions...

Bono bashed Trump well before that.

u2 are so much better when politics doesn't take over the show

I can hardly remember them NOT playing it like this...
Yeah, no they aren't. Go listen to the greatest hits and continue to be ignorant of what they stand for.
