    This was my first U2 concert. Bought tickets for my dad and I, and we travelled from Vancouver. After the new song was over I was thinking it would be so cool if they were pumped to do another song. And they did. Fantastic night.

    Great show. I saw them also back in 1983 at the Seattle Paramont. It was the first time i saw them. It was their WAR tour.

      What an amazing show. I knew then and there that they would making really big. It's hard to believe it was so long ago sometimes it seems like yesterday. How time flies

      Yeah that would of been around the time of their Red Rocks concert if I'm not mistaken, so that would have been incredible!! I would love to be able to say I've seen a band play at a small venue before they make it to arenas or stadiums.

    Please end the show at Twickenham on July 8th like this, the place will be bouncing !! I found the ending they did in Vancouver boring and lifeless.. this is how to end a show ! They should always
    play stuff off Boy the tunes rock and you can see the guys get so much energy when they play the
    likes of I Will Follow , Out of Control and Electric Co.

    Kinda just wish they'd get on with finishing the new record already and touring that instead. Would much prefer to see the band tour the new record and add deep cuts from previous albums to the set list rather than tour The Joshua Tree + "the hits".

      I totally agree they take ridiculously long these days to make studio albums.

    • @josh4636
      @josh4636 7 лет назад +1

      and when they do finally finish the album it sounds like shit haha sorry if any of you loved Songs of Innocence!! I think its their worst album ever, and the problem is like what Ken said they take way too long with it. I read in an interview that they'll get to the point where the song is complete and then the Edge will say "but where could the song go from here?" haha and also they had like five or six different producers for Songs of Innocence so no wonder it ended up sounding like a complete mess... I think someone needs to put them in a room and say "You got two weeks to get the album done, GET MOVING!!"

      I actually liked Songs of Innocence, with the exception of the 3 tracks I deleted from my phone that always nearly put me to sleep whenever I'd try to listen to them. No, their worst, by far, was No Line On The Horizon. I don't know what they (Bono & Edge) were going for with that one. I don't really mind the amount of time they take between records if they're using that time to actually strip down their songs to see what's underneath or try out a new idea. Let's not confuse them with TOOL, who prick tease a new riff once every 3 years as proof to their fans that they're working on a new album that will likely never actually see the light of day.

      Hahahaha yeah its been over 10 years now since last album I think?? Maynard James Keenan is involved with other bands as well so that probably wouldn't help them, but yeah you think they'd have released something well before now. I seen them at a festival co-headlining with Rammstein about six years ago haha that was an insane night!! I'm the opposite haha I really liked No Line On The Horizon, besides yeah maybe 2 or 3 songs I skip every time haha but it is defiantly by no means their best. I hope they release another Achtung Baby, Zooropa or Pop hahaha those are my favourite albums, the "experimental" period, or a Boy or Unforgettable Fire type album would be really good also!!

      Honestly, I don't think MJK is the problem that keeps TOOL from releasing new music. I really don't. He's busy with other shit, sure, but, what the fuck are them other 3 fuckers doing with their time? We know Dan has VOLTO! and the occasional jam session at the 'Tater. But, what about Chancellor and Jones? They can blame lawsuits all they want, but, I think it has far more to do with writers block and/or being just a wee bit too precious with the writing process. Sometimes I think Jones, Carey and Chancellor are guilty of trying to be too clever for their own good. That was my issue with the first half of 10,000 Days, which, for me, was ultimately a disappointment. As is their decision to continue working with Joe Barresi.
      I don't blame MJK for busying himself with other projects if the other 3 apparently can't get their act together.

    BLAH!! WHEN ARE THEY EVER GOING TO PUT A DAY WITHOUT ME, TWILIGHT, I FALL DOWN, REJOICE OR FIRE BACK INTO THE SET?? THE ONLY REASON THEY KEEP PLAYING I WILL FOLLOW IS BECAUSE ITS A HIT, ITS ON THEIR U218 SINGLES ALBUM AND SO IT WILL BE THE ONLY SONG MOST PEOPLE KNOW FROM BOY... U2 NEEDS TO START THINKING ABOUT THEIR DIEHARD OLD SCHOOL FANS MORE HAHA!!!

    • @ALLNAMESAREALLREADYT
      @ALLNAMESAREALLREADYT 7 лет назад +1

      jesus hell agree with you ----Twilight would be perfect concert song----Fire too, even Stories for boys ---do you remember epic drums intro on Stories for boys ? jesus hell

    • @josh4636
      @josh4636 7 лет назад +1

      haha hell yeah man, they did play Stories for Boys a few times on Vertigo tour in 2005 I think, but they haven't played Twilight or Fire since early 80s, I even would go so far as to say I'd love them to play Boy/Girl or Street Mission hahaha think it would be mad!! it pisses me of that they always seem to play just the hits, because that's what 90% of people at most U2 shows will only know sadly

      Maybe Treasure, Whatever happened to Pete the Chop ;) or 60 Seconds in Kingdom Come. 11 o'clock tick tock or better yet, Silver Lining ;)

    • @josh4636
      @josh4636 7 лет назад

      oh fuck yeah dude Gloria should always be in the set haha its such an uplifting, rocking song!! they did play it a lot on their 2015 tour, and Timothy man wow hahaha you're really a big fan!! a lot of their B-side stuff is quite good, I personally love A Celebration, Spanish Eyes, 'Wave of Sorrow (Birdland), Lady With The Spinning Head and Slug from Passengers album haha shame a lot of it never made it to a proper album. 11 O'clock Tick Tock is such an awesome rock song I don't know why they stopped playing it, would much prefer to see it in the set rather than the usual shit like With or Without You, One or Beautiful Day hahaha
