When Edge wrote this music in 1986: "The Edge wanted to "conjure up the ultimate U2 live-song", so he imagined what he would like to hear at a future U2 show if he were a fan. After finishing the rough mix, he felt he had come up with "the most amazing guitar part and song of [his] life". With no one in the house to share the demo with, The Edge recalls dancing around and punching the air in celebration." (Wikipedia)
David must be thinking man what's with vancouver: broken string in bc place and went over the edge at gm place. lol. great recovery when string broken, what a show. Love U2.
I am a U2 fan had to see The Unforgettable Fire tour after hearing “BAD” on radio. Sunday Bloody Sunday another favorite. Wrote U2 a lot and I suggested starting concert with Sunday Bloody Sunday get the fans fired up for show. A couple of years later The Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour answered my letter. You wanna bet ??? Ask U2 who I am !!!
It was an AMAZING experience! I missed the convert 30 years ago, as I was in the field with the Army. The 30 year wait was TOTALLY worth it! As Bono walked out towards the left side of the stage, looking up at those of us in the upper seats, I couldn't help but think "I am really here! 30 years later, I am REALLY here!!"
Same. I was there but my phone was wiped of all it’s data so now this is all I can watch. It’s not nearly as good. Because everyone is screaming and u can’t hear the music much in this but you could on my phone
This Band and its enduring charisma, class and sound! Bring us together again Mr. Bono. Every profession, age, gender, ethnicity and religion. Spontaneously once again. Music has the ability to heal by bridging the gaps. 😎👍🏼🎶😇
Wow....omgosh amazing! Thank you for showing this amazing concert video. l only wish l was there to witness the amazing music. Made me love U2 even more...
I am assuming this is either indoors or that it gets dark quite early in Vancouver in May. The reason I mention this is because to see the band in Europe on this tour, and they are playing outdoors, it is still daylight for the first hour or so of the concert - this means you won't get the full effect of the screen. The image on the screen, and the silhouettes of the four band members standing in front of it, is striking here - but won't be so much in broad daylight on a sunny evening outdoors.
This is a problem for people seeing the band in London, for their two nights at Twickenham Stadium, on 8th and 9th July - or for people seeing them anywhere in Europe on this tour. For the first hour, or even hour and a half of the gig, it will be bright daylight - the same as if they were playing in the afternoon. People won't get the full effect of the screen.
jeff, i'm pretty sure they'll sort the setlist so that it's dark enough for when they start the joshua songs. and who cares about a backdrop anyway. you're going to see u2. not a screen...lol
I wanna run, I want to hide I want to tear down the walls that hold me inside I want to reach out and touch the flame Where the streets have no name I want to feel sunlight on my face I see the dust-cloud disappear without a trace I want to take shelter from the poison rain Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name We're still building and burning down love Burning down love And when I go there I go there with you It's all I can do The city's a flood and our love turns to rust We're beaten and blown by the wind, trampled in dust I'll show you a place high on a desert plain Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name We're still building and burning down love Burning down love And when I go there I go there with you It's all I can do Our love turns to rust We're beaten and blown by the wind See our love turn to rust I'll be beaten and blown by the wind And when I go there I go there with you It's all I can do
it is red, maybe de angle of the take or some kind of incorporated filter in the camera lens (of camera or cellphone) It takes the yellow color waves instead the full red color
Great vidiwall to Streets... looks good! so happy i have internet :-) vancouver is too far away for me.... but Edges guitar is not in topform ... hehe he had to change it..
There is a song that talks about Heaven being a place where all the glory, all the honor, all the recognition and attention revolves in Christ alone. Not streets signs that say: George Washington Boulevard, Abraham Lincoln Boulevard or MLK Blvd, because all the glory, all the honor and recognition belongs to JesusChrist. Someday we are going to Where the Streets Have No Name.
worst audience ever, check their 2017 joshua tree tour in Sao paulo and Dublin, the audience is incredible, makes you want to get up and jump! cant beat the irish and brazilian fans
I was going to go to this concert at Gillette Stadium in Boston. It's a good thing I have watched/heard some of these songs on RUclips. Although RUclips isn't the greatest to judge the singing, it did a fair job of what I would be hearing at Gillette Stadium. Bono is still preaching to the World which pisses off The Edge. Bono's now wearing John Lennon's rounds glasses and it appears his new hairdo is from Sir Elton John's barber. Could even being hair plugs. He forgets some of the lyrics at times and his voice has gone WAY downhill. I also wonder if The Edge takes a shower with his hat on or does he have sex with his hat still on? They look flat and really don't care about the audience. It's all about the almighty dollar with U2 and always has been. Anyways I did purchase tickets for approx. $500.00 and just sold them for $1100.00. So all in all it was a win-win for me. I'll wait for the cheap concert video.
total cash grab tour. u2 is a bad live band, they have good songs but cant perform them live with any power or intensity. it falls into bono's hands. bono cant perform unless he plays to a camera. he still does that weird elvis thing...they might be better live in a lounge or a very small club.

I was at the Seattle and Santa Clara and both rosebowls tears of joy for this song. Always gets you
Man, 30 years after and they still sound as good as ever!

ill be ther working it
Great save/speed by Dallas Shoo on getting Edge a replacement guitar! Guys a legend.
David must be thinking man what's with vancouver: broken string in bc place and went over the edge at gm place. lol. great recovery when string broken, what a show. Love U2.
I love the guy waving at each person in the screen as they're passed by. So joyful!
Hahahaha funny moment isn't it? :D
Hahahahahaha I think that was my uncle
Imagine listening to this just as the sun comes over the horizon.

I spent my eve with a crew that went to the show... Thanks for giving me a great POV. Mellowed my envy and such stellar cam work❤❤❤
The screams at the various reveals on the screen are just spectacular. They must have loved hearing that at each show.
This Band and its enduring charisma, class and sound! Bring us together again Mr. Bono. Every profession, age, gender, ethnicity and religion. Spontaneously once again. Music has the ability to heal by bridging the gaps. 😎👍🏼🎶😇

Jeff Oliver the stadium had the roof ..
Jeff Oliver it's not fully dark until after 9 pm in may

I wanna run, I want to hide
I want to tear down the walls that hold me inside
I want to reach out and touch the flame
Where the streets have no name
I want to feel sunlight on my face
I see the dust-cloud disappear without a trace
I want to take shelter from the poison rain
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
We're still building and burning down love
Burning down love
And when I go there
I go there with you
It's all I can do
The city's a flood and our love turns to rust
We're beaten and blown by the wind, trampled in dust
I'll show you a place high on a desert plain
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
We're still building and burning down love
Burning down love
And when I go there
I go there with you
It's all I can do
Our love turns to rust
We're beaten and blown by the wind
See our love turn to rust
I'll be beaten and blown by the wind
And when I go there
I go there with you
It's all I can do

it is red, maybe de angle of the take or some kind of incorporated filter in the camera lens (of camera or cellphone) It takes the yellow color waves instead the full red color
Anyone else notice the guy waving every time someone passed by on the screen?
Roma, 15/7/2017....vi aspettoooooo:-))))
After many years they played this song in it original tune (standard one). Bono should be in a pretty good mood with his voice lol
Great vidiwall to Streets... looks good! so happy i have internet :-) vancouver is too far away for me.... but Edges guitar is not in topform ... hehe he had to change it..
super

I was up in the bleacher seats going nuts but no one else on the floor was!
The crowd seem a bit quiet
worst audience ever, check their 2017 joshua tree tour in Sao paulo and Dublin, the audience is incredible, makes you want to get up and jump! cant beat the irish and brazilian fans
Where I would like to go is Joshua California, pick up a tree since their rare here in south Texas near the border to Mexico. Beto
Animação do público, parece que estão num velório
Anyone know if the street on the video has a name?
Hey, anyone know what road that is? Where is it?
Wich cam u used?
Can Bono not run anymore? He is so still.
He is 30 years older Albert
The reason the Edge switched guitars is the high E string broke
Tell that dude to shave his arm!...damn it.
I have a version up on my channel as well.
And actually the quality on mine is better lol
I`ll die there
Streets seem to be cursed, they always break a sting on every tour
A este publico le falta power!!
