I had this fan repaired before. It was observed thereafter that it was noisy(howling actually), it stays engaged and, was robbing the engine some power. Here's my attempt to fix it.
After doing this, the truck runs quicker, while saving fuel at the same time. And also, no "washing machine-like" sound anymore. No overheating and, the AC still blows cold air as before.
