Im asking because I believe I may be having an issue with mine because I get a vibration around 60 mph. I'm not sure if it's the diff or not in my case. Thanks.
thx for posting. helped me a lot. how did you go about disconnecting the drive shaft? That part is still holding my front diff up. I've unbolted those 3 bolts and it should otherwise be coming down, but the drive shaft I think is holding mine up. thx
@@wilder211 I was able to get the diff to come down. You have to disconnect it from the drive shaft for sure. The bolts are not that tight but the collar is crazy tight. I had to work it out with a power chisel. Mangled to hell but only cosmetic damage
I love the part how you didnt show how the diff cleared the frame. That means you were FORCING the diff and thats why it fell on your head. Besides forcing the diff....how did you get the left side bolts to clear the frame? It overlaps by a good inch, inch and a half. You only have about 2 inches to raise the back which doesnt allow the clearance. So....how did you clear the frame with the differential case bolts hitting the frame?
Can a diferential damage ur engine in any way .? A guy wants to sell me a jeep for cheap, saying the front diferencio teeth a broken, i wonder if that hads anything to do with the engine or transmission, if possible to get a reply from you, i be grateful

You can't disconnect the front differential on any of the grands for 2wd.. there is a center diff in the case of every Wk2.

I used a power hammer to break it loose.
