- The gang find Cloud after the events in the Northen Crater. He has been washed up in Mideel having been carried there through the Lifestream resulting in severe Mako Poisoning. Tifa decides to stay by his side.

Man, we probably won't get to see this scene remade until at least 2027.

From the scene of Tifa waking up after a dream of Cloud, the romance flips and shows the player shes the one. I was so captivated playing the 1st time realizing, "woah she loves Cloud" the devotion is so heavy. On my second playthrough favoring Tifa the romance within the game is very beautiful. It's a great twist well told, one that SE has yet to duplicate or surpass.
I felt exactly the same way when I first played the game!
@@nlevel8045 If anyone viewed FF7 in a vacuum as a movie. The romantic tension is all Tifa centered, from what she says and her moments of silence, to finally speaking for herself and choosing Cloud. In her words "meteor, the planet... I dont care about that, just Cloud." Shes following her heart from meteor summon onwards.

tbf the remake isn't fully finished. We have yet to get to that point before we can compare the impact of this scene.

Im sorry, but I can't hate. If I saw my grandmother in a wheelchair not knowing what was going on and potentially dying, it's my grandmother. Plus my squad was leveled up and fire.
I haven't played a single rpg that measured up to the depth of this game.
It sucks because this is the FIRST rpg I ever played and I always compare all the others to FF7....
Let's just say FF7 wins every time.
I agree, when playing it i can't help but be amazed and fully immersed even when the game has no voice acting and limited software to execute it; it somehow feats some rpgs of today In terms of storytelling.

Well... The developers here tried to simulate a wheelchair screeching sound, I guess. It sounds a bit unnatural tho, cause the screeches here are like static and at a regular rhythm
I always thought cloud devolved into a dying eldricht sea angler and that was the sound of his attempts at breathing properly

Cloud was rocking in the wheelchair in comatose state, hence the creeking sound.

I really hope so. This part, and the one inside the Lifestream are better to be very accurate, because for me it's the most important plot element of the entire game.

It's very strange tifa was worrying about cloud since the doctors were taking care of him.
How is it strange? It’s no different from a loved one being at the hospital and you being by his/her side throughout the process.

It's a shame she abandons ship for cloud she is a much stronger by herself, cloud holds her character back big time. Hopefully Tifa shows growth in part 3 where Cloud & her aren't joint at the hip.
