- War Thunder has given a new discount called personal offers. Most of these offers so far have been a scam that does not equal to the cost of vehicle by up selling you boosters and Silver lions.

Yo, I'm from the future. There are no more special personal offers from Gaijin. They just threaten to waterboard your cat if you don't buy two 10% boosters for 1000 GE. Also tank sights are a 70€ premium pack now
And there are no free event vehicles so people can't sell them and but free premium
The fact that the Sherman with the rockets is worth more than a jumbo prem is insane to me wouldn’t even by that thing on half price
Oh boy, you have no idea. Since they changed that the rockets don´t ammo rack you anymore, you can just charge in and spam enemys to death.

@@TinyBearTim Believe me, its already a capable sherman by itself, that missel artillery ontop just makes it a serious killing maschine. You just need to learn to aim the missels and have the balls to just go in without hesitation. If you time it right, you can roleplay being the Doom Slayer.

I'm also surprised that noone is talking about how much more expensive it is to buy premium time ingame with GE than it is to go on their shop website and just pay 7.49 for 20 days
When the golden eagle purchases ingame are intentionally different then premium time purchase.
as 30 days costs 1900 golden eagles.
You have 2 choices for 30 days. you buy 2 1000 Golden eagle packs for 6.6$ each and have 100 GE left over, or you pay 16.5$ for 2500 and have 600 GE left over.
Oh but wait if you dont want 2500 and just want the premium time? you are incentivized to pay for 2 packs so you cant just buy one for premium time (30 days), either way you are spending more than going onto the actual gaijn warthunder store as 20 days is 7.49 where as 30 days (Ingame with GE) costs around 13.2$ for 30 days.
Not to mention 60 days is alot cheaper on the store as well sitting at 20$ instead if having to buy around 25$ worth of GE to get 90 days
Its all over the place and incentivizes players to buy more / pay more of for longer premium time, while punishing players who don't want 30+ days of premium time.
They do that for tax/steam fee reasons I think

@Vollpfosten it's brutal. Few tanks are able to stand up to more than 1 hit aside from jumbo and grinding even 40k for a vehicle takes weeks
I have been getting dozens of these. They are definitely choosing who to give these to. My money is that they are not giving these to CCs in order to keep the hush down over the vomplete bs

The vehicles in those offers are still somewhat discounted. Not even close to 50%, but they are cheaper than normal. This is not a scam. It's just scummy marketing.
I have no problem with Gaijin or anyone else ripping off people who can't use basic math or control their own impulses.
The thing is some of these "Deals" where not cheaper and where more expensive because they tacked on boosters or SL. but you know fair enough if you would support deception. I don't
I'm sorry you had this experience, but the five or so personal offers I received were all geniuine. Yes, there was baggage attached to it, but the vehicles themselves were still roughly 20% cheaper than normal. Maybe the criticism worked.

For 12000 GE, I was offered the Israeli F-84F and the Magach 1 or whatever. Did not even touch it.
It's so weird that I have never seen that outside of that box which randomly will give stuff including a discount.

I haven’t even seen one of these in my 1300 hours of playing this game, either it’s based on your purchases or it’s literally a lottery, but you pay them instead
I randomly get 30% off discounts for random premiums, but never the ones I want lol, especially when I can just wait a bit and get them 50% off.
So far ive gotten those "Personal Offers" for the T34-100 2 times and the second one had a additional 100k SL
so far never really got any that I thought were worth it, mostly stuff like you showed with some 3.0 or 5.0 vehicle and a bit of slver lions. I do kind of like this new system tho, yes the offers may be bad right now but like you said, they will probably improve on them until more people buy them because that is the whole point at the end of the day and maybe getting a good premium outside of the regular 4 store discounts would actually be pretty cool IMO.

I get these often and every time the bundle is more then the original cost of the vehicle……why gaijin I just wait for the sale season or a a lucky 75% coupon for said vehicle if your lucky enough to roll it.

I get one offer every 3-4 days. within the last 2 weeks. so i saw about 3-4 different tanks. but i only get into the game again this year (jan) after not playing for 2023
If you buy a bunch - you don’t get any. So if you buy a premium pack you won’t get one for around a month or two. Like I just started getting some again in late January after I bought some stuff in the winter sale.
Oh and I’d like to add: they get better the more you get of them (without buying them). First was some rank III premium Russian tank and 10 SL boosters, most recent was a rank V tank (I forget which nation) and 1M SL. All still horrible, but better

I was getting one everyday when i started playing again last week i had ran out of premium months ago and ever since i got premium again they haven't appeared since so is my be "offered" to accounts with no active premium
Not true I have month of premium now and they are never appearing to me no matter if with or without premium

I just got one that has 5 American 3.3 - 4.0 br planes and 15 premium days all with 40 % off which isn’t too bad honestly, but it totals to 7632 and I don’t feel like putting 66 more dollars into the game xD

Think i have gotten 4 of these. 1 of them was for X days premium account. Did not buy any of them.
The idea of personal offers is good. But So far. What i have seen. They haven't been worth the cost.

whats their deal? I grind for hours and get a crate, only for it to contain a FN limited time discount on an already overpriced vehicle. It's already bad enough I'll never be able to get my favorite tank of all time cause I dont have $500 to drop. They have an immense playerbase and zero goodwill towards them. People would buy more if their products were actually affordable but they choose to go whaling. Im not a Gaijin hater, the game is cool, but damn they make it hard

If you don't play very often like a day or two you will get this "discounts". Gaijin wants you to recover the progress that you didn't make in those days by offering discounts. That is my logical explanation for that.
Aaaahm, i think you think way to innocent here. These methods try to lure you back into the game. Active playernumbers are practicly more worth then money, because more players = more opportunities to get money. Also they can go to potential buiness partners and say "Hey, want to collaborate ? We have a big audience".

How can a deal be a scam when there is no deception involved? You are getting an offer that you can trivially decide whether its a good deal or a bad deal - sure its a comically bad deal, but in what way is it dishonest?
They way its presented, its hard to see on first glance, if its good or not. So weak minded people, be it young, stupid, handicapped, mentally highly susceptible to addicting content like gambeling, are getting screwed over. Not to mention that normal peopel are also not immune to this. They are leverageing known weaknesses in human psychology, often in very subtle and scheming ways
So, especially when they catch you in the right moment, like being depressed and just wanting some positive stimulation, being euphoric from a good match you just had or just being tired or drunk. They hope to catch you in that moment and abuse it for some quick profite.
The whole game is constructed like that.
For example, thats why there are multpible currencys GE, SL, RP, Convertible RP, RP for modules, RP for crew. Oh and also way they are all in huge numbers around the thousands. It conceals the real value by makeing it more complicated to track. So sometimes you get people by simple misscalculation.
And it looks like its a huge difference all teh time, when something changes. Huge number go up makes monkey brain go happy.
Many companies theses days employie methods that a century ago, you would have normaly seen only in casinos, used by tricksters, conartists and snakeoil salemans, if not straight up in drug and mafia cartels. Because back then they would have been spotted and punished. But these days, in the eternal frontier called "The Internet", you can get away with much much MUUUCH worse.

Alone for the fact that most countries do not have a sufficend enough social support system in place to cover the amount of people who just cannot manage the every increasing demands of our society. As long as all information about a deal is transperant and no deception or coercion is involved the actors must each evalute whether a deal is good or not and decide whether to agree to, refuse or try to negotiate the deal. I think that any offer by Gajiin involving boosters are incredibly bad deals so I decide not to accept them, but others may value them differently and decide the deals are good deals. I may not understand them, but who would I be to tell others how they should value anything?

In any case analysing advertisments and see how they try to make people react was taught in elementry school here in Denmark when I went there 50 years ago and it would surprise me if they dont still do.

Premium is overpriced anyway even at 50% off you only get sl/rp boost it should be much cheaper.
