AP bombs in prior updates were just inferior GPHE bombs. AP bombs now have "penetrationBySpeed": true alongside demarre parameters, the penetrationBySpeed parameter allows AP bombs to read the velocity of the projectile at any given instance, and was first seen aboard LOSAT. This, alongside changes to the introduction of shell-style fusing to AP bombs, makes them actually functional.
@@KekusMagnus yes it is, the main issue with AP bombs currently is not the penetration, but the fusing is exceedingly sensitive and the fuse delay is disabled, but it's likely placeholder. Overall this is a substantial buff to the AP bomb capabilities and more importantly to kinetic penetration code.
MH60 didn't get it's guns that was stated in the dev server (The statement also got removed from the devblog for some reason) but something neat I saw was that it also has the Naval "Bear trap" underneath it for landing on the back of ships.
They removed the israel bit from the devblog too. I guess they found out late about some of the stuff such as that israel have a different blackhawk model that they can't just copypaste it
Skill rewards is a good thing, but what annoys me is the fact that they encourage solo play again, you can help your team as much as you can, marking enemies, getting assists, capping points, if you don't kill enemies, you won't get the "skill" reward.
If anything, skill rewards should be weighted pretty heavily towards team play. Like, yeah, keep the incentives for racking up kills, but give team support even better buffs.
Another changed thing is in air sim is easier to spot aircrafts, before the update it was virtually impossible to spot anything above 5km, now i have spotted enemy aircraft 30-40km away (it was 11.0 so I estimated distance with radar)
Another change that I haven't seen posted is the nerfing of the HE of the Ikv 91. It went from 2,34 kg of TNT eq. to 1,91 TNT eq. because of a change in explosive type, Torpex to Comp. B
The SA server still exists if you had it selected before the update. (Your server selection would be "auto", and SA would be at the top of the que time box) However since no one has access to it anymore the que time is near infinite. (Only like, 7 people total for 4.0 ARB)
For the night map issue, there is the simplest fix of all time.... JUST GIVE STOCK NV. Bam people don't entirely hate night maps, they're still meh but its not actual suffering. They added a feature to evade them rather than just make it a stock mod. They'd have to give everyone an Abrams then i guess though.
I sincerely hope night battles come for ALL BRs, because i loved playing my M4A1 in dark maps. Add headlights to tanks and we'll be fine. Or, flares that can be called in like artillery
The RWR for american canberra can be useful as I am fairly confident now that (in EU servers at least) 8.3 barely exists, almost all games in canberras are put up to 9.0+ from my experience, where radar is common and RWRs tend to be very helpful
@@nesyboi9421 Every radar equipped plane used to be able to lock and have a lead indicator, even vehicles like the F6F-5N or German night fighters. They progressively removed it until no aircraft had it before they added it back but only for high tier aircraft with recent updates.
I haven't seen this mentioned in steam patch notes: Italian M42 Contraereo was moved from 3.3 -> 3.7BR and it AP penetration nerfed from 48mm to 45mm flat. :( Wasn't moving in BR enough? They also added a of ammo to it.
Another detail I noticed on the Flanders map is that if you are playing low to mid tier at the A point you can find a crashed airship, while at top tier the airship is replaced by a C5 cargo plane

they lengthened bomb base respawn times in air RB to near 5 minutes, down from less than one. For seemingly no reason, when that change came out of nowhere in the last update everyone was pleasantly surprised, although the addition of the SPAAs guarding them was also really stupid. for the final 2 weeks of the last build, once the SPAAs had been neutered, high tier Air RB where quite a lot of planes can carry ordinance was in a nice spot, since everyone who had bombs would probably get a chance to drop them. now, the days of trying to race phantoms in a harrier for bases are back despite literally nobody asking for it
What I would like to make aware of is something I just found out through trying it. You can kill the Torpedos in the Low-Tier Italy Test flight that are dropped by the S.M.-79s by using bombs. (I used the G.P. 250) When doing so, you will get a standard kill message with the Torpedo named as "Dummy" in red Writing.
Lowering penetrations of shells was uncalled for They nerfed quite alot of them There are more Mi24s that got the gun pod i think even the new Mi8 has it and those Mi24s that can carry R60s can carry the gun pods
They are not nerfed. Tablet of shell penetration now starts from 100m (didnt saw that in the video by some reason, but you can see the difference between old and new tablets of nerfed shell)

99% people didnt notice this but apfsds chart ranges now go to 5km so you are comparing vastly different ranges + higher caliber still has far higher angled penetration which is what is necessary

The F-111 being designed as a very high speed attack bomber at a top speed of Mach 2.5 needed to be able to eject the pilots safely so thats why the whole cockpit, or titanium bath tub, would eject

Gaijin goofed up a little with the new gunpods for the Hinds. They need to go on the inner pylons, not the middle ones, as the middle pylons couldn't handle the stupid amount of recoil.
Aerial 20mm cannons seem to be nerfed back to sparks again. At least American and British cannons seem to do that with HEI and HEF rounds. Havn't tested other nations yet but i expect all Western and Axis to do that while Soviets prolly just kill everything they hit like always.

the SA (South Asia) sever connot be selected but the server is still running and if you are from SA you can select auto sever selection (just click the box infront of auto) you will be able to play in a SA server
On flanders fields on A point on the crashed cargo plane there is emblem im guessing it should be US airforce but it looks kinda like oseas airforce from ace combat
F-111 entire Cockpit ejected was because it was meant to be supersonic Nuclear Bomber. They will be "safe" in case the bomb blew up and the plane had a problem and had to eject. (maybe Aardvark can be a nuclear bomber on top tier for US)
