Your previous commentary helped convince me that as a novice in jets, the Ariete was a better choice. It's much harder to play and I won't pretend that I'm carrying any battles but it's great fun, immensely satisfying when I get some kills and I feel I'm learning way more.
Yes I got the ariete as well and it's so exciting having like 3 guys on your six and actually being able to win the fight. It's almost too much for me to handle where most games put pressure on you to win. I was let down by an f-5c in a carry situation because he just ate an r60m and I broke my wings dodging the other one. It was the last guy on their team in a su25

@@germansherman3839 that's more like to be a plane that is used to grind, not to really learn how to dogfight, like the Ariete, the Chinese MiG17 premium pack or the F5A Freedom fighter that doesn't have missiles nor flares but is a fun gunfighter

A-5C is a very good plane when used right. Use those Magics to your advantage to down enemy air threats and now that it has full CCIP you can take bombs and rockets to destroy some ground targets or damage some bases.
It's also a very good plane when used wrong you don't need to be good with this plane when you can use magics as huge skill crutch

I found the A-5C to be pretty fun, as apart from the magics, the acceleration from ~700-1000 kph is absolutely insane and you can abuse its amazing energy retention by just going in circles and slightly upwards, retaining mach 0.95 while your enemies stall out.

those A-5C magics are scary simply because of the boom and zoom, I try my best to look around but sometimes I never even spot them, simply a skill issue

Another play I like to do is to go for a base on the edge of the map and after dropping my bombs, turn into the enemy's climb path, and usually I get behind a few people. Careful with A-10s though if you do this cause they straggle behind the main pack. If you see those and they're close, you have to go head on with them. Turning away doesn't work even with your flares cause AIM-9L from the rear just can not be fooled.
F-5C swarms are this thing's worse nightmare. Just one you can handle as long as you turn it into a low-speed rate fight, but more than one it's impossible. If you see a F-5C and he's occupied, absolutely shoot a Magic at him.

i just discovered your channel, i love the commentary haha, I am a Mig21 SPSK player, can tell you, we play the same matches but the A5-C is SO MUCH BETTER
I’ve been enjoying this as a kinda chill plane. F5C for when I wanna go crazy but this for when I want some brain dead fun
I do not regret buying this awesome plane, awesome plane even with basic crew blacking out all the time. Kill positive with ease.
Personally I like the guns in the A-5C ONLY because they hit hard as fuck most of the time, RoF and velocity though, definitely to be desired. Having played the Yak-15 to the 17, I kinda got used to them, but on a supersonic? Damn is it hard to hit anything over 500 meters.
Awesome video the a5c is one of my personal favourites it got me from 3.3
To 9.3 in less than a day! But I do have to say it does require some skill you can have amazing games but you can also get absolutely rekt I recommend climbing to around 6000 metres and using the plane as a suto boom/zoom diving on planes that aren't prepared for you the magic's will do amazing at this but if you can line it up the guns can do some work

I've no idea if the Matra is different in sim. But it seems it goes for any heat source except aircrafts. Even Howitzers firing on the ground

I still enjoy this over the F5C and MiG23ML. It's so ratty and enjoyable. I go ~5k meters at the start (or as high as possible without trail) and just turn behind them and fire both missiles then boom n zoom

Good aircraft, it is boring though I ended up grinding half of China with the Ki-84
Amazing plane, compression is a bitch, but still money well spent. What i learned after 20 games is that you want to drop throttle to 60-70% when diving to avoid turning into a brick. I got a lot of gun kills this way

If you take min fuel, you can outclimb anything and outturn almost anything. You won't need more time to fire two missiles and RTB anyway.

also in my experience the magics seem to go to flares everytime. not sure if its my firing range as i far between 2-2.5km
to get the magics to avoid flares its not that much about launch range but more angle of attack. the magic 1 suprisingly gets side aspect locks a lot of the time even though stats say it cant. if you lead them a lot and fire as much from the side as you can the missile will skip over the flares

With the custom loadouts been taking one aim-9p and one magic and been catching people off guard where people are expecting you to get to magic range but just slam them from a bit further away.
How much further? how many km away do you shoot your aim-9p´s? and if u don't mind telling me the Magic´s range I´ll appreciate it too.
@@amezcarl aim-9p's are export model aim-9j's and have the same stats as those. I usually fire from about 4km and they usually hit. Magic's I usually fire from about 2km you can probably get away with 2.5km at most if they're going slow, but as Defyn was saying try within 1km and they don't really have time to dodge.

Great video, I'm not very experienced with jets and I seem to have a lot of trouble dealing with F-104s, any tips on how to deal with them in the A-5C?
If they have no flares
Just get behind them
Otherwise try to lure them into a reversal but if they have discipline you cant do much sadly
You just can’t really do shit. If they run away don’t even bother launching a missile. Magics that are on the a5c can not out run the F104 if the range is greater than 2.5Km and they are in full speed. However try your luck, if they are relatively close. Since magics are super fast with its guidance time.
man i wished premium vehicles could grind mods for TT vehicles, would really ease my j7II stock grind against a10s and su25 or just any missiles that dont have 10g overload in general

You've put on the dress Mig-19 but I recognize you. I hate those things, in air RB they are insufferable. I came here and flying them in test flight to learn how to better kill them. Excellent plane, limited payload, limited missiles, but really hard to catch and those damn missiles ...
I have close to a thousand battles on this plane and i dont like going interceptor mode. Most of the time you get uptiered and face F5-C’s or other planes with flares, so then the bombs are needed if you want at least some kind of RP.

I watched your MiG-19 video, but I found that A-5C cant pull that insanely in comparable speed range (?). And is there any difference versus F-5E, or I should just run (if I am able to)?

Funnily enough I'm able to get gun kills with this thing most of matches at 4 kill games sometimes 5, 2 magics and the rest with guns
i like dropping ordinance with dummy weapons and then taking air to air missiles to the enemies lol
why bring 20 mins of fuel though Defyn? it really doesnt drink alot of fuel even on afterburners, unless you full afterburner the entire time from takeoff to end screen. On min fuel it feels a lot more like a fat mig 19 and even a fat mig 19 is a crazy dog fighter
most f5c players ive fought with the plane they would be dead by the time they spot me so now its my fav plane to use but i dont use it very much

If you want top tier get j7d its better for when you get to the harder jets rn the a5c has been getting up tiers like crazy and the missiles really have been nerfed compared to when I first got it plus the guns are very unreliable but the performance is good for at this br and down tiers when gotten its very good at getting like 3-4 kills and a base

personal opinion, if u carry minimum fuild, and lower ur speed to 950 and below, ur turn rate is surprisingly alright, but dropping speed in the middle of the field isnt really the best choice, and 10 min of fuild(i k in game it shows 9 min) might run out quit fast.
f5c is the biggest threat to a5c imo, they are faster outdogfight you and have flares, f4cs and the crusader without flares are good targets
Honestly the biggest problem for my a5c is the a10 because when im boom and zooming an a10 climbs up my asshole and launches an aim9l and i wont dodge it 90% of the time because of the aim9l being so op that it doesnt listen to flares

I Actually stay after firing my 2 missiles! The most Fun is after 7 minutes when you are alone in a 1v1 vs a f5c i start to make them stall them out then jump onto their six with airbrakes wep and flaps and they cant do shit after 2 maneuvers
As a F5C player I usually run away and sideclimb to 25k ft and pop a blind hunt in those situations. The only F5C players you'll beat in a dogfight are bad ones.

This aircraft is extremely good, but one issue is, for me: 23mm cannons, the speed of bullet is horrible, and aiming is really hard...

A-5C is strong, but it becomes 10x stronger once you learn to use the guns. Also, Magics have no business at 9.3/9.0 but you know...skill issue 🤣

its plenty fast, has countermeasures, has magics, has great ratefight capabilities, climbs great, does cas pretty well - it should now be below the J 35D. its mobility is only there for 1-2 maybe 3 turns. after that you're done

I brought the other premium jet for China hoping that with the F-86s the S F-5 will also go down to 9.0. But seems GAYjin forgot to do that. The funny thing is that most of my kills with it were F-5Cs!

Well if you believe that the A-5C with R.550 is just braindead mode then a challenge would be using the AIM-9P's instead which can be more useful in slightly distance duels (although that's debatable).

Shot my 2 missiles and got 2 kills bc somehow t2 is still at 9.7 even tho it's fucking shit.
Then proceeded to slaughter 2 harriers and an f8 something with cannons. Landed and slaughtered an a10 with cannons obviously bc it has like a trillion flares. Not saying I can pull this off every game. Obviously this one was special. But it was my 2nd game ever on it and I have not performed so well on other jets of this br so there is something about this one that works right.
Also I am pretty sure physics don't work on this thing, it accelerates even in full balls to the wall turn and it accelerates fast.
So pretty much same as f5c
It's literally the opposite
The plane is not fun to fly in anyway 😢
