If you haven't, you might want check out Ludwig Goransson's scores, esp for Black Panther and creed. As a film composer and hip hop producer he really hits that blend of traditional orchestration with pop elements real good. Also his name is ludwig
This helps me to see how classical music themes are played simultaneously, and now I understand the “staccato” feel of Brett’s Mozart rap and frenetic Shostakovich rap. Much obliged!
If you want even more context for that part, check out Shostakovich - How to Compose Music Despite [ R E D A C T E D ] by tentacrule. I assume saying what to search won't trigger any bots thinking I'm doing the evil things.
Ikr Honestly I m drowned in the music so I didn’t hear the swan like or the piece my Shostakovich, since I didn’t really recognize and I was into the lyrics. Symphony no . 5 was very obvious and the toccata too
Ateez is a kpop group that has done multiple performances where they mash up their own songs with classical pieces. Their Wonderland/Dvorak Symphony No. 9 works incredibly well.
This is amazing 😃 it's really amazing how all the melodies can transfer into one another so seamlessly…and this shows that classical music isn't boring or out of it's time, it's still catchy and has so many levels you can analyze. Also, looking at Shostakovich's profile, does anyone think that Brett actually looks quite a bit like him 🤣 (or maybe it's just the spectacles…)
For those of us who don't know much about classical music, this video put it all together for me. Eddy is always quoting perfect pitch keys of songs (PIECES! MY Lord haven't you learned anything???) and music theory. And he and Brett are always so real even about things that I would hesitate to post online. I am so proud of what you've accomplished! I will forever love you both! ♥ I'm aiming to find the friendship in my life that you have. Maybe that's the number thing that stands above all of what you both represent. Let's be kind, let's get along and have fun! LOVE YOU EDDY! LOVE YOU BRETT!
The pop beats really gave a fine modern touch to the pieces. If you search for science related to music beats you will see that there are peculiar tempos/ bpm (beat per minute) that evoque some kind of emotion or urge (e.g dancing). Pop is "popular" because it gives emphasis to beats (with loud, repeated percussions) that makes you feel "energized" and are easier to remember (simplified melodies+repeated percussion around 120bpm), thus being catchier. My thoughts are that pop is easier and faster to "digest", but classical is about slowly "digesting and contemplating" the sounds. It's really interesting to listen to a mashup like this.
now i need this for everything they've done (liszt vs paganini, bach vs beethoven, violin vs bass etc.) so i can test myself if i remember the lyrics lmao. thanks for this!
I don't know why.....but when my little sister was obsessed with Tchaikovsky, I completely blocked out that he did Swan Lake. 🤣😭🤌🏻 I was more into Beethoven and Mozart when I was young. As I got older, I appreciate more of Bach's work and still love Mozart. Recently getting into Prokofiev and now I'm more intrigued with Shostakovich and want to learn more about him and his story through his music.
Idk much about classical music but is swan all over the places??? Like when you heard in movies/series if the part's too intense?? Or its just me??? Sound so similar if not 🤭
@WasiulWahid-ot7cj I go through phases tbh. Discover something new, then go back to my phases. You are entitled to your own opinion. This is just mine. 😊 🤟🏻
Brett snd Eddy who comprise Twosetviolin are brilliant, educational, so funny and a great example of frienship in it’s best form. I love this song and it’s composition and the video areso well done.
Great job! I saw TwoSetViolin's piece and it was great. But you did an excellent job in incorporating the original pieces and placing the names so that people can know the names and who composed them. Shostakovich is a composer I never heard of before. I had to look him up to kind of understand his part in the whole arrangement. I managed to find a video that used that "motif", as used in TSV piece. I was ecstatic when listened to the arrangement again, because it became sort of an understanding. Like "now I get it". I don't understand sheet music note marks. I only understand the basic of what I was taught in elementary school in music class. But I've heard enough classical pieces over the years that I can almost recognize a "sample" of it used in a wholly new arrangement. Sadly, I can't remember the names as I've never known them or the person who originally composed them. But after being introduced to TSV by my niece I'm slowly gaining an appreciation to learn the connections to these songs that I've heard for so long.
It's like this and the original version are different things and both are AMAZING! Classical Music is OG cool, and Brett and Eddy do be doing it justice. LL40h 🤙🤙
It's amazing how these pieces sound together, what if they where actually played at the same time, omg just a dream When I heard it for the first time i notice most of the pieces (specially fur Elise due to I'm pianist) but there where two I didint recognise thank you so much for these amazing video that plus have the most Amazing soundtrack that sounds even better without voice

I do really recommend classical dubstep or classical electronica for people who liked this. I basically listen to classical dupstep exclusively for studying and this fits that vibe perfectly.
The fact that we can't hear anything when Beethoven says "Can't hear you, what? What did you say?!" It was as if they purposely removed the pieces because my guy can't hear them 😂

Wow. Classical music with modern pop beats is catchier to listen to than I feel it has a right to be
Well there's vanessa mae and maksim...
It's like it doesn't need the beats but at the same time it adds a fun dimension😁
