15 minutes in and it's crazy how switched on Francis is. I didn't think he was so knowledgeable and his ability to convey that in a second language is impressive. Add in his fighting ability and what a human being we're all watching.
Whats even more impressive is the guy barely went to school and when he did go he couldn't even afford a pen and paper to take notes. Incredibly intelligent man
@@MrJonojono34 I was surprised when I got to that part. So eloquently spoken and no education made his words even more impactful. Just finished the full pod and I think Francis has been one of his best guests.

I really think anyone in any walk of life can take lessons from the way Francis has navigated his career. A true inspiration, and bigger than his sport.

Fantastic job on this Brian. Letting Francis speak his points fully. A lot of interviewers cut him off because they think they're helping clarify his points by saying more correct pronunciations or whatever but it's great you let him speak.
Francis NG. Is like the living Statue of Liberty. That mentality can take anyone through any situation.

Ngannou is so well spoken and extremely introspective and intelligent; brilliant listen! I could listen to him all day. Plenty of wisdom nuggets dropped throughout the pod. Lovely

Francis a true champion. Not just to the fans but to his peers as well. He's fighting for the fighters. What a guy 👏👑
This man risked his life, crossed a desseert, climbed barbedwire fences, got shot at and crossed a sea in a rubber dinghy to get where he is now. It makes perfect sense he can not accept the controle UFC has over him. I don't think Dana and consorts fully appreciate this man's tenacity.

Francis is a superhero. Genuinely, the % of people on this planet who have endured what he has endured must be minuscule. Now think how many of those people became the baddest man on the planet.. a 6’4, 280lb destroyer of worlds. Built different.

He can really articulate himself very well , his English has really come along 💯👌🏾 now more people can appreciate his story even more. Amazing story! They’ll be making movies about this man. His journey was ridiculous, literally hero arc story!
Need a series based on his life. Omar Sy could play him might need a little camera trickery for his size but that’s standard practice now days.
Francis is spot on about the board meetings. The UFC and other fighting organisations aren't like any other company. People fight and put their well-being on the line. This is a cost that must be compensated in majority.
Francis doesn't want to be in bad terms with the UFC, he has such a positive heart he doesn't want to manifest the negativity between fighters and company. He's giving the UFC an open door in doing the right thing.
That was a great episode. It gave us a better look into what's going on with the UFC vs Francis situation. I really do hope he gets that Fury fight 💪.
His life story has been told many times before but it's a reminder to *never give up* .

As an aspiring combat sports creator, I can only dream of being able to articulate questions and build a rapport with such incredible fighters like TG does. Ability to adapt to each fighter's personality is awesome. Thanks man - not finished yet but great so far.

francis might be my favorite of the current ufc champions. he seems to have such a confident yet kind heart.
Great to see an athlete talk so openly about some of the problems behind the scenes in terms of contracts and the like. It gives a real insight into what it is actually like for these people. I feel like a lot of athletes become media trained and learn to keep hush about these issues. Great work Geordie and Ngannou.
The ufc is nothing without the fighters and Francis is the man to put that right!

Francis truly is a one in 10 billion person. He’s come from nothing and his story of getting to France to follow his dreams is bonkers, then to become the baddest man on the planet, and now, from having a underprivileged upbringing he’s so intelligent in how he’s going about this contract situation, the guy is a genius

The calibre of guests that have come on recently have been amazing. I was already familiar with Francis’s story but hearing it again inspires me to never give up, be patient and try to stay on the path towards success

One of the most inspiring interviews I've seen on TG. When he started talking about the hardships he went through as a young boy and into his early adulthood, I, having grown up in relatively difficult conditions in Nigeria, understood everything he meant and could relate completely with his story. A truly enriching hour and a half.

I love fighters coming onto podcasts so much as we rarely get these long form one on one talks that feel normal and not as contrived as a quick traditional repetitive question interview. Great episode

Francis has a surprisingly good head on his shoulders, he's really looking at the sport and the world on a foundational level. I truly hope he's successful.

I've been watching True Geordie for a while now and these podcasts are perfect, a great mixture between interview and conversation.
I think this is the best guest yet... So insightful and in his second langauge gets his point across no issue and his so calm collected and clear his very open with what he feels and his past life aswell
It's at least his third language.

If you’ve been a fan of Brian for a long time you will know how much of a ufc fan he is and to see him pulling these guests is truly inspiring to think I watched him since the “does my drinking offend you” days you should be proud of myself mate x
Amazing podcast. Could have been 5hrs long and I would have watched all of it. Very smart answers by Nnganou, at one point I was rewinding his answers as I was taking in life advice carefully. Much appreciated

I have such a weird sense of pride for true geordie, been watching him since the newcastle rants years ago and its amazing to see how far hes come. I think I first found TG at 30k subs and knew the sky was the limit

One of the best conversations with Nganou, this guy is really open for a real chat. He’s more real than any other fighter, the others are really closed up and you can see their always selling a fighters image
What an incredible life story, we can all learn from Francis and be grateful with what we have and keep pushing forward.
It's so refreshing to see fighters like Ngannou standing up against these promoters, like he said without the fighters they have nothing to promote.
It cannot be understated the sheer amount of balls it takes to do what Francis did. To go into a title fight against an undefeated Ciryl Gane with a destroyed knee on the last fight of his contract knowing the magnitude of the situation and everything riding on that one fight, if he lost that fight his leverage and power would have been completely gone and he pulls it off.
Just the other day I rewatched the Calfreezy WillNE episode. Crazy to see the progression Geordie has made, all while being so entertaining! Legend Brian get ngannou on the showdown

Its crazy to see how great and prosperous this Pod is getting. From all the heavyweights in their own right. From Ricky Gervais to Francis Ngannu. our dads grew up with Van Basten and Mike Tyson, and us we have the likes of Messi and Francis Ngannu. It's crazy. Brian did it. The man did it! Hoping he signs his belt!!
