I can’t thank you enough for bringing this data to my notice. I have been sewing for 70 years & that is the first time I have ever been shown this. 👏👏👏

As others, I thought the ribbon analogy was brilliant! Thanks for this informative video.

The ribbon twisting was a brilliant way to show what happens! Thanks so much... VERY helpful! 👏

Thank you. I have been sewing for years and never knew about the different thread loading. I have also been putting my little attachment to hold the spool in place the wrong way round. The trouble is, you don't know what you don't know, until someone points it out. Thank you ❤

Thank you! You are so personable, also easy to understand, even for an "older" lady from the U.S. You are also quite lovely!

Thanks Meredith - your tutorial has made it really clear as to which thread to put on which pin!

Thanks for the tutorial Meredith. It all makes perfect sense but is not something I had considered before.

Its one of those things that you don't really think about - but it can make a big difference. :)

Brilliant and as others have said the ribbon demo was excellent. One question I have which you did not touch on was use of the spool cap and which size is best? Also does it make any difference whether the horizontal thread unwinds towards the front as you had it vs the back? Thanks

Hi Jill. You choose the spool cap to suit the size of the thread spool you are using. Your sewing machine book should have more info on this that will be specific to your machine. I don't believe it makes a difference how the thread unwinds in the horizontal position - I would just say try it both ways and see what works best for you :)
