The price is pretty high, but it is 1: a classic game, co-op, and has skins for each character, we already have 2 confirmed ones we already have.

I just think with a name like SuperStars we are likely to get lots of potential outfits.
But the crazy part Mighty Ray and Team Chaotix are in the classic series so why can't they just have their own models and not be skins or even be DLC characters. I also want Bean and Bark to be DLC with new stages as Bosses
@@LondonlinkBark _might_ work as a Knuckles skin, maybe. They both have a lot of moves revolving around their fists, but Bark is a head taller.🤷

@@pierregreen5921 No IT WOULD make Sonic Superstars non Canon and Shadow got awoken in the Dreamcast era so He cant BE in the game (im wrong the Classic Timeline IS ITS own Timeline so the First Game in the modern timeline IS adventure 1 so IT could BE theoretically possible to have modern characters in the Classic games)

I wanna see costumes based on the Sonic OVA: Tails with his Aviator goggles, Knuckles with his hat, and Sonic wearing his "favorite clothes."
My only hope / concern is that they need to not focus on the multiplayer. It needs to be a side deal that doesn't hold back the overall design of the game, like many co-op optional games will, in order to account for two players. Couch co-op basically shoots the multiplayer to semi irrelevant levels for many, including myself.
Tails looking around hinting at another playable character is a bit graspy. It just looks like he's looking at the cast of characters in front of him.
If Mighty and Ray show up as skins they'd definitely be for Sonic and Knuckles respectively, but I could see them being their own characters too. Maybe. Maybe not.

Considering how Nack is here, I'd love to see Bean and Bark to complete Team Hooligan like in Archie and Mania.
Does seem weird they're not there since they were kind of a set in Mania too
Maybe the medals work like the park tokens from colors ultimate witch you could use to unlock skins and auras etc.

Of all gaming leaks I'm anxiously awaiting confirmation of, FF9 is at the top now. Hopefully it's a thing.
The concept for each chaos emerald having its own power reminds me of chaos control. I wonder if Super Sonic will be in this game in some way. Takashi Iizuka said in one of his interviews that some of the inspiration was from Sonic Colors wisps for these powers. Also considering that the physics look like Sonic Mania I wonder if the Retro Engine is being used in some kind of way. I am really impressed how the levels are so vivid and colorful. Sonic Superstars looks amazing and I cant wait to get this game.

This game honestly looks insane. I’m so surprised that the trailer and project as a whole just shadowdropped out of (officially) nowhere, and it looks so good, including the physics. I’m kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop on this, but it looks like it’s not going to.

11:27 in the trailer, Sonic starts out behind amy, then shoots off in front of the others, so they at least have a speed difference between Sonic and the others.

@@hipersonicrace if that was the case. What about the part where they were all running in a line. No one out ran or caught up to each other. Which means they all run the same speed

i hope Trip ends up being an animal character just in armour (maybe for self esteem issues) and they are some type of racoon girl, it would be a nice double whammy that we get a modern sonic girl (Sage) and a classic sonic girl.

Sonic fans complained about classic sonic levels being straight in forces and now that the level design is intricate in superstars sonic fans complain again.
Sega can't just win, and that's why sega doesn't listen to sonic fans because sonic fans don't know what they want and change their opinions every 5 seconds.
I honest think Sega is going to make a Sonic Superstars Plus.
They did the same thing for Mania and Origins, so it makes sense.
Maybe the new classic style character will be Sally Acorn? She could be a rival to Amy. Sally was tough as NAILS.

I figured it out, there are 8 slots for the emerald powers, because the 8th is activating Super Sonic.
first time i saw this game i thought of rayman origins/legends honestly. just gives me that vibe with the 4 character gameplay

This actually deconfirms what I was tracking to have been a Nintendo project by Arzest, probably Dillon's Rolling Western remake. Even the announcement date is pretty spot-on, however not as a mobile game like I had assumed. Well, more like considered as at least possible.
Crazy that they would end up to have been working on another rolling creature, and not even Kirby.

I’ve heard this many times before back when they were announced for Mania Plus, and it still doesn’t make any sense. How is Mighty supposed to fly or glide, I can see Ray flapping his arms or gliding, but how is Mighty going to work like that. It would make more sense to put him over Sonic since those two are more similar in mechanics than Knuckles or Tails.
But I would prefer Mighty and Ray be given their own mechanics or not be added at all than just be reskins in all honesty. I would rather Silver be reskin in all honesty.
Considering Mighty’s original sprite was a (pretty much) reskin of sonic I don’t see why people keep putting him on Knuckle’s model/sprite
