The prayer is incomplete because it is extremely difficult to sing and control your voice like this and the singer would die trying to sing the entire bible and the pianist and the rest of the musicians would get too tired playing that many notes.....
It’s a concert performance, not a prayer or hymn in church. Even so in both cases, there’s time constraints to go to next song, or the next reading or sermon. 4 minutes of Ave Maria in either case is enough, frankly. Less is more . . .
