- In today's video I'm highlighting a simple cost effective window cleaner. You can make this stuff for around $1 per gallon.
The recipe for 1 gallon is:
8 drops of Lemon Joy Dish Soap
4 oz. of Isopropyl Alcohol
1 gallon of distilled water

This is the exact same recipe I used to use to float adhesive vinyl decals onto glass and other smooth surfaces back in the day.

Thanks its solid. I have switched to 3D Super Glass cleaner though it's about $16 for a 64 Oz jug and 2 Oz in a gal of water makes a ready to use formula.
I like to use ONR or American detail garage wipe out as my window cleaner it’s great and once I already use them for rinseless wash’s I mite as well use it for other things as well but great video and idea keep the great content flowing

So I see guys asking if this fluid damage tinted windows, I’m assuming they are talking about after market tinted glass, plastic film stuff? Can’t think this fluid would affect factory tinting thats an actual part of the glass.
No this won't harm tinted windows Lemon Joy doesn't contain degreasers. That's what can degrade the adhesive on tint.
Hey, can you please explain what do you mean by dishsoap without degreaser? I'm a bit confused by the concept since I figured degreaser would be a key ingredient to clean greasy dishes :)
Also, I live abroad and the brands you mention do not exist over here so that would help immensely with my research.

Degreaser degrades window tint glue. I've since switched to using a rinsless wash mixture that is just as budget friendly I'll be doing a video on that shortly.
Will the mist overspray damage finished like clear coat? Can you use this on chrome bumpers and fake chrome grills?
I don't think it will damage anything like that. But I'd test it in an inconspicuous spot first.
I use 90% alcohol for striping off spray paint. Will the alcohol ruin window tint ?
It is safe for tint.
Yes, you can use it for stripping. I use alcohol 100% of the time.
can this be used in a car wind shield reservoir without it cracking the plastic in winter? It must be for -20 deg.
I'm not 100% sure on that one. You may want to up the alcohol content in it a little to ensure the water doesn't freeze.
I know you like superior products have you tried there there glass cleaner??
I haven't yet but at $1 per gallon im not sure I'd want to change from this product.

Yes that would suffice
Can this work with dawn dish soap?
I would be cautious as Dawn has Degreaser in it and over time it can degrade tint on windows.
Maybe spray it onto the towel, instead of the glass, next time? lol
I usually do that on the windshield.
The alcohol won't damage the trim?
You pose an excellent question. I would say no as it's only a few drops and heavily diluted.
Can you use Dawn blue ?
I would steer clear of Dawn as it can damage tinted windows.

It's about as much as yea so much 🤣🤣
In all seriousness I literally tilt the bottle and let one drop fall. That equals one.

I would recommend non ultra
Can I use shampoo does it works?
Unfortunately I would just stick with the lemon joy dish soap.

Yes its my go to on all types of windows

Yes it sure does.
Do you have to use distilled water?
I would highly recommend it. That way the chemicals don't have to fight the gunk in the water and you can get the maximum result out if it.

What other soap can you use other than joy?
So long as it doesn't contain degreasers as this will degrade tinting on windows you are good. I would steer clear of Dawn though.
