@Mrgunsngear Once calibrated correctly it works great, Its by no means a dedicated thermal. But the real fun happens when you dim the OLED display, set it to outline and open the window. Put your NODs of choice on and now you have a rifle with COTI. Just make sure to adjust the Screen position to match the IRL target and it collimates wonderfully.
@@battletank21 💯! People just haven’t figured out how to be open minded with these yet. The other factor that’s throwing people off is the frame rate and how the image is visible through the thermal signature (and sort of bounces around). @@BarbarianInFactFor long distance shots, you need a thermal that starts at a high base magnification (different than digital zoom), which limits closer shots. Their is a guy named Micah Mayfield on youtube. He goes over all the calibration settings on this optic. Not sure if you've been through all that already, but he seemed to get it to operate well. The video is 6 months old. I think I'd order an ATN before I get this optic still.
Agreed, I don’t think he’s done any of the calibration for the thermal. It’s probably parallax. Also the whole point of these are to help provide target location not identification. This is meant to a jack of all but master of none. To get really good options you’re getting at least 2 separate scopes at similar or more price. Interesting complaints, The one ive gotten works great. Mind you it seems like it was designed with a magnifier in mind. As for the jittery image I havent seen that in mine. Was hitting steel out to 250 with a ZPAP85 of all things, so i feel that it works just fine. Also, was identifying deer to 400+ and comparing it to my AGM 50-640 to confirm targets. Mine is the DRSTH, Total of about 500 rounds and 6 hours of use. It even pairs very well with NV to use the outline mode as a sort of COTI, And i did not see any accuracy issues there as well. Now it was only 1 night shoot, so i cannot attest to long term durability. But my experience is completely the opposite of what you experienced.
@OvertonWindex Shot standing, from the knee, from a moving UTV, and from Bags while zeroing. From my use, it moved when i did. I didnt experience it Jittering "unnecessarily" i should say. Id say its a great product in a different use case than dedicated thermal. Especially on sub guns/ PDWs, It also allows you to have a thermal gun that isnt 10k when its all setup and done Like my .308 is with the 640 on it. It sucks that yours didnt work out, hopefully it gets repaired/replaced quickly for you. But seeing as you mainly shoot long, I doubt you will find it ideal for what you do. But as a spotting/NOD setup its pretty darn neat.
@OvertonWindex I know you likely dont care, but after reading the manual a 3rd time Ive gleaned more information. But I feel it will improve the usage for you, or your viewers. I have a couple other thermals and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with this one tbh. Especially considering it’s literally a red dot, that can also overlay a thermal image on the fly.. I honestly feel like other thermals would look the same in regard to image overlay lag issues if you weren’t stuck staring at their led screen.

Haven't seen any of your reviews before but there's so many you can't see them all. Not really sure if your review was honest or misleading. but seeing Sig came out with their latest 4000$ red dot, I see no reason this could be a worse decision, besides the TH/NV mode a holosun AEMS is the least thing u can get. You guys are very spoiled with hi-end devices and trash like holosun NV appears as a well...trash. In my experience, since i am poor sob, the device is good enough to scan the area at night up to 500-700 meters based on natural illumination, and confidently engage target at around 200 meters. I mean without using auxiliary IR illumination source. I just equipped it with 3x magnifier and life got easier. To be honest 1x and 2x is usable on the drs nv, so 3x magnifier makes it like 3 and 6x respectively. 4,6,8 are more for detecting motion. (Haven't tried these modes woth IR illuminator yet) You have to take time and set yhe device up. Match the nv image and actual image, some other stuff and it works like a charm, i repeat, for the poor bastards like me. Battery run time is around 3-4 or maybe even 5 hours until the battery indicator drops to last two bars. Depends on the screen brightness and if the device is constantly on. You can either quickly swap out the batteries, or charge it with power bank or even from the car cigarette lighter port. ( As i did while patrolling. TLDR, device is ok and does a lot with acceptable quality for reasonable price.
He breaks the scope and then blames it on the company and then he goes and outs himself by not really knowing how these scopes are supposed to work he clearly didn't understand this technology and doesn't understand it's different in that it's already known that it does this lol next time learn before you make a video lol
Nooooo Cindy… it was broken out the box. I know more than you. If you don’t think so, I bet you $10,000 I do. Shoot me an email, we will fire up a live stream right now and expose exactly who is the idiot here.
This is the 1st video ive seen of his but i didn't get any of that from this video his points were all valid he prob saved a lot of people from buying a product that is def not ready for the market
exactly what i was thinking. I got one and love it. I just wish it recorded sound. and yes ive tried the 10k pulsar. If I wanted a dedicated thermal and a scope i would get something else. This is good for shooting short distances and you can pull it up quick and get on target. with a scope, you have to constantly have it up to your eye to see anything, then you loose your night vision in your eyes. the holosun you can hold your rifle up and scan without having to hold your eye up the eye piece on a scope. It has its purpose. I needed a red dot, so this fits my needs. its basically having a red dot at night. Ive already shot a hog with mine. Another thing I forgot to mention besides sound, i wish it had bluetooth or wifi to use with an app for downloads. everything these days have bluetooth or wifi. but it works for me. im not hunting at night everyday and downloading videos.

He breaks the scope and then blames it on the company and then he goes and outs himself by not really knowing how these scopes are supposed to work he clearly didn't understand this technology and doesn't understand it's different in that it's already known that it does this lol next time learn before you make a video lol
That’s not a scope… maybe UNDERSTAND life before your comment on stuff on the interwebs🤣🤣🤣
Nooooo Cindy… it was broken out the box.
I know more than you. If you don’t think so, I bet you $10,000 I do. Shoot me an email, we will fire up a live stream right now and expose exactly who is the idiot here.
Hope you’re getting the attention you were looking for. Can’t wait to see the debate.
Thumbs up for exposing da 🗑️ 🔥
