One of my favorite memories from WotLK back in the day was tanking for my guild when we finally beat The Lich King in ICC. That was probably the pinnacle of my WoW experience, taking down Arthas and hearing everyone go nuts when we finally won. Good times.....
They’re all fun for me purely bc nostalgia. Wotlk was the first expac I hit level cap and finally got to play endgame and all the latest patch content i remember everything fondly.
Gotta watch out with the dangers of consistent uploading, which is randomly missing on stuff by accident. It happened to Hirumaredx a lot too whenever he had a consistent streak. So, let's fill in the gaps: Halls of Reflection: Not fun... Yeah, we all know everyone hates that first boss. Moving on. Ruby Sanctum: Fun! (I guess?). It feels like a bonus that completes all the raiding journey you went through, plus a sneak peek on part of what would be the next expansion. Cool boss mechanic I think.
Dungeon trilogies at the final patches of expansions were dope Forge of Souls Pit of Saron Halls of Reflection End Time Well of eternity Hour of twillight They need to start doing these again, they are so cool
Thats not random rock music. Its a funk song because Bronjam is a nod to James Brown, legendary soul singer. Even his bag “Papa Mint Conditioned Bag” is a play on his song “Papa’s brand new Bag”
I liked ToC as a new raider. It was easy and the loot was good and could take me further into Ulduar. It was nice to have a raid where we could pop in, be in one room, beat everything in 2 tries and collect loot. I think this was intentional because I have to imagine the pool of new raiders grew tremendously during this time of wotlk
I think the only raid or dungeon in WoW history everyone can agree on is Trial of the Crusader. Man that raid sucked. Especially after Naxx and Ulduar. But even on its own it sucks.
Halls of reflection: not fun. (The lore is great but the fight mechanic itself is just adds fight) Onyxia lair: fun. (The nostalgia back in vanilla even though it's a short raid is fun in my opinion) Ruby sanctum: idk, haven't done this. Maybe not fun like obsidian? It's the actual final raid of the expansion so that there's no content draught after ICC.
For me some or most dungeons or even the raids are.. mostly fun depending on the people you play with of course. haha. Utgarde Keep is my favorite, prob because its the fastest one to clear imo.
Even today, I tried to avoid the Occulua. Aside for this and Azjol Neruv, I will say all other dungeon was fun, Forge of soul was one of my favorite with the nice music at the first boss,
Feels like a list made by someone who looked on popular dungeons and made a video about it, because if you actually play the game, there is no way you would say culling of stratholme (first time its fine, but farming no way) and Draktharon keep is fun (4 bosses where 2 of which are mostly skipped because they are trash). Also Utgarde Keep last boss hard KEKW
Gotta say the dungeon section is the most I've disagreed with you in this entire series. I get the feeling that you value narrative over gameplay sometimes and maybe remember the good times more than the bad. Utgarde Pinnacle and Culling of Stratholme are obvious examples, they get annoying really fast.
Wait, 0:20, this guy required "coordination and strategy"? I thought all you needed to do was face the boss away from the raid so they don't get hit by the shockwave and then dps him till he dead. :]
Warhammer Online is actually a pretty fun pvp focused mmo that is perfect for large scale player armies or drop in gameplay. It officially shut down in 2013 i think, but the guys running the private server have done an amazing job. Yea the game is very janky and the pve content is barebones at best, but it had some really cool ideas and is a diamond in the rough.
ToC is overhated, I found it really fun. Faction Champs were painful in shit pugs, but it was nice to not have to clear endless trash for a few months.
I really didn't care for Ulduar. It's actually the first time I un-subbed from Wow. I just kept thinking while I was there, "Why are we wasting our time here when we could be fighting the Lich King? When do we get to fight the Lich King? Why are we not fighting the Lich King right now?" I didn't go back to Wow until shortly before Icecrown was released.
Game is great.. I wish I could say that same about the community.. For me the list of Nixxiom is spot on pretty well explained to what's fun an not fun an why. But it's sad that the main fun that you're supposed to have when you play these old games is for sure one you have along with others. Sadly I played mostly alone. Had a guild for a short while an then the GM got greedy an distributed loot to top ranked players first an all kinds of other bullshit annoyance of lootcouncil (For reasons of: "The game is aparently really hard an we need to give best players first") Like I said... Great game, sadly can't say the same about the community (Only speaking from what horrible exsperiences I've had)
I’d like Icecrown Citadel much more if some fights didn’t force you to sit through SO MUCH EXPOSITION before the pull. Those fights ruined an otherwise solid raid for me.
Halls of Reflection was fun. The first time. After that it became "the dreaded" and people would outright refuse to run it, leave group if they got it in RDF, moan constantly... Ruby Sanctum was horrible on so many levels. Making ICC not the final raid, having only one boss drop loot (with the mini-bosses being annoying) and Halion himself being a gimmick fight. Revamped Onyxia though? Strangely fun. That fight actually aged really well, and it was a quick raid.
Like many others have mentioned, COS is omega not fun…. I literally only bothered to do it like 10 times in both classic and original wotlk in total. And most of them just because I ran all other heroics same day.
i truly do not understand people bitching about Oculus. never will. also, did Halls of Reflection make it to the video or did I zone out? same for Onyxia and Ruby Sanctum.
Ok never disagreed with one of the videos of this style so much. First of you missed a few but I will say my fun/not fun opinion in the same order as the video. Utgarde Keep Not fun...its a long boring trash pack fight with endless stairs and unmemorable bosses. Halls of Lightning Fun I agree with you here Occulus Fun I know many people hate this dungeon but honestly it is the best dungeon of wrath in my opinion. Forge of Souls Not Fun It only has 2 bosses and it feels like endless trash between. The Bosses are so uninteresting that I don't even remember their names or Boss mechanics. Utgarde Pinnacle Not Fun ...this dungeon is cool in the beginning but after you got some gear it's just annoying. Svala talks endless before the fight starts just to stall for time by 50%. The second boss always comes after the 4 trashmobs which get slowly activated. Skadi has his annoying fly phase which is ultra boring. And Ymiron? He stuns you every 20% of damage. With T8+ this is just stupid because you get more stunned then you fight Pit of Saron Fun I agree with you here Culling of Stratholme Well yeah...Fun i guess. The whole RP event is boring after some time but the dungeon is ok i guess. Trial of the Champion Fun it's short and it has a the cool horse part. Nexus Not Fun You walk endless halls for annoying bosses. Fear, splitfight/pulled through the air, fighting rifts or permanently moving. All annoying unnecessary mechanics. And even if the stone boss is ok his trash way is certainly not. Azjol Nerub Fun aside of Anub'Arak which has an annoying fight is this dungeon short and interesting. I don't know how you can get confused of the way by a straight line btw. Drak'tharon Keep Not Fun this dungeon is really something. The first boss is boring and the second is even more boring. King Dred is mostly ok but the final boss is....well he is so harmless that to this day 90% of the player don't even understand what he does. The questline is ok but this is a once in an addon stuff. And it is only at the end so no that doesn't improve the dungeon at all. Violet Hold Not Fun I agree with you here Gun'Drak Fun I agree with you here Halls of Stone Not Fun I agree with you here Ahn'Kahet Fun I agree with you here You completely forgot Halls of reflection here and it is not Fun. Sure the story is ok but the trash and boss fight makes this dungeon to the point you actually see only a corner for the first two bosses to fight the trash. And the escape of the lichking is just an endless trashfight. 9/16 are Not Fun and 7/16 are Fun Naxxramas Fun I agree with you here Obsidian Sanctum Fun It was the first Hardmode of all and this made the fight so much more interesting then before. For a One Boss Raid it's definately one of the best. Vault of Archavon Not Fun....boring PvP Raids because bosses have to be easy enough that PvP players can beat them. It's uninteresting trash with more HP. Eye of Eternity Not Fun I enjoyed occulus but Malygos is extremly boring. The fight is not good and the dragon phase is unecessary hard to coordinate. Sure you can say go in one direction but still the range to the boss matters and i havent seen a single raid where the dragons actually stacked. Ulduar Fun of course Trial of the Crusader Not Fun I agree with you here Icecrown Citadel Fun I agree with you here Onyxia's Lair (80) Not Fun You forgot this Raid and I understand why. The Raid is boring and was ever boring. So sure you would it forget. Ruby Sanctum Fun That you forgot this raid is actually sad. It is a Fun raid with a really deadly hardmode version. 4/9 Not Fun 5/9 Fun So the Final score is imo 13/25 Not Fun 12/25 Fun
As much as I like Ulduar I can only stand doing it for a month or so of raiding then I get bored. It's nice to have the hard modes to add extra difficulty but in honesty it makes Mimiron just more of a tedious thing as a healer since people in my raid stand in the fire constantly or don't kill the body parts together. Hodir HM honestly just sucks since it is a dps race for an easy mechanic boss involving slight rng to get the extra dps for the casters to down it and having your raid lead tell you wipe since we lost the HM by a solid 3 seconds. Flame Leviathan is cool in HM but is tedious. General Vezax let's be honest nobody actually likes his HM or his fight basically. Yogg is super cool but overall a boring fight after the initial week or 2. Algalon is a beast though coolest boss arena.
I agree with almost everything, but I would split Pit of Saron into two categories. Pit of Saron with a group who knows and does the mechanics and can interrupt? FUN! Pit of Saron with a bunch of Timewalking gogogogogo types who want to faceroll it and then ragequit the instant something goes wrong? NOT FUN!
Now, I need to disagree with you about some of these. I have played these dungeons countless times, literally until my fingers bled. I'm not a lore enthusiast so I'm unable to look things from that side. Utgarde Pinnacle. Can't disagree about atmosphere and feeling of the dungeon but the bosses were sub-par to play. The gauntlet boss where the red ball chooses monsters for you to fight was boring and last fight, while cool and memorable, has this boring 10 second fear every 15 seconds while the group just watches while boss runs to do some chores. Culling of Stratholme. This disagreement might entirely be from lore perspective. First phase where you run between spawning elite groups of scourge is dull, second alley which is also full of scourge is tedious. All bosses are tank and spank simple and for the love of god if someone forgets to click on Arthas to start the RP in three different locations the dungeon won't even start or you have to run half the dungeon back to speak to him. Azjol Nerub. Not disagreeing about "Not Fun" (about 50/50 imo) but about the reasons. This is about as plain and simple as any other entry level dungeon. Bosses are ok and challenging. Last boss is definetely not the redeeming part (due to mechanics reason, dunno about lore) since he also has an immune phase multiple times in encounter where he just burrows under, calls adds to distract and tries to oneshot people with spikes. I think you forgot at least Halls of Reflection Dungeon (if you can even call that a dungeon) and Ruby Sanctum Raid.
The whole "Trial of the Crusader" was all last minute filler nonsense from Blizz when they realized IceCrown needed a lot more work. It sucked but I'm glad it was terrible and the IceCrown got the additional bake time it needed.
Hated Oculus, but liked Malygos? Yeah, Nostalgia, lol. Also, I remember our guild trying Ulduar back when it first launched. I hated it. And, after trying it a few more times my mind never changed. I might enjoy it today, but as of right now I hated Ulduar and laugh at it being called the best Raid of WotLK. Great video, Nixxiom. Thank you.
Oculus is annoying because you've spent all that time forging your character with unique skillset and build... Just for WoW to tell you: "Yeah you ain't using any of that in this"
il be honest i find the oculus fun but then agian i only play it once every blue moon, i can see how it would get annoying real fast if you were to spam the dungeons, also didnt they cut the entire last boss in cata or something? also fuck utgard pinnicle , the dragon boss is annoying as hell, and so is the last boss with his 8 year roleplay mid fight when he goes changeing his stance thing
I'm pretty sure Nixxiom could get a ton of views from a video where he just tries(fails) to pronounce as many characters and locations in WoW as he can.
I liked ahn'ket when it was new but once you had to grind dungeons it became one of my least favorite. But none of them are fun when you're grinding them for badges everyday.

You forgot Onyxia’s Lair revamp and Ruby Sanctum
Also Halls of Reflection
not on PTR even yet relax
@@tomik6537 it's not a video for Classic
Yes... but I think most people some how forgot about Ruby sanctum.
Me: I've remembered it all these years, not escaping my memory.
Ony's lair is fun but nobody remembers Ruby Sanctum
You miss halls of reflection
I don't.
+ Forge of souls
Oh wow, arguably the most memorable dungeon in Wrath lol
Ice Crown Citadel, The final raid of wrath of the lichking
Ruby Sanctum: Am I a joke to you
YES
One of my favorite memories from WotLK back in the day was tanking for my guild when we finally beat The Lich King in ICC. That was probably the pinnacle of my WoW experience, taking down Arthas and hearing everyone go nuts when we finally won. Good times.....
Quit larping, you couldn’t even tank heroic dungeons
They’re all fun for me purely bc nostalgia. Wotlk was the first expac I hit level cap and finally got to play endgame and all the latest patch content i remember everything fondly.
Gotta watch out with the dangers of consistent uploading, which is randomly missing on stuff by accident. It happened to Hirumaredx a lot too whenever he had a consistent streak.
So, let's fill in the gaps:
Halls of Reflection: Not fun... Yeah, we all know everyone hates that first boss. Moving on.
Ruby Sanctum: Fun! (I guess?). It feels like a bonus that completes all the raiding journey you went through, plus a sneak peek on part of what would be the next expansion. Cool boss mechanic I think.
Dungeon trilogies at the final patches of expansions were dope
Forge of Souls
Pit of Saron
Halls of Reflection
End Time
Well of eternity
Hour of twillight
They need to start doing these again, they are so cool
So after cata there's no dungeon trilogy anymore?
Too bad..
Well of eternity and hour of twilight... arent those cataclysm?...
Halls of Reflection and Ruby Sanctum missing 😢
forge comes right after ad
no one missed Ruby Sanctum, fuckin trash
Did this man really say the last boss of upguard keep took "coordination and strategy" did we play different dungeons 😂😂😂
hiding behind a pillar a couple times is hard ok
you can tell he doesnt play wow anymore
Maybe he got confuse with pinnacle
Brohnjam fight in Forge of Souls also has random rock music out of nowhere, which is FUN
Thats not random rock music. Its a funk song because Bronjam is a nod to James Brown, legendary soul singer.
Even his bag “Papa Mint Conditioned Bag” is a play on his song “Papa’s brand new Bag”
My man did not say that Azol Nerub was boring and Old Kingdom was fun. Think you got those 2 mixed.
that's what I said lol
I'm honestly surprised there was no mention of Argent Confessor Paletress in the Trial of the Champion section.
You missed Ruby Sanctum.
not a real instance
Ruby sanctum no exist
And hall of reflection
I liked ToC as a new raider. It was easy and the loot was good and could take me further into Ulduar. It was nice to have a raid where we could pop in, be in one room, beat everything in 2 tries and collect loot. I think this was intentional because I have to imagine the pool of new raiders grew tremendously during this time of wotlk
Bro, i love this flavor of content from u. Great work
I think the only raid or dungeon in WoW history everyone can agree on is Trial of the Crusader.
Man that raid sucked. Especially after Naxx and Ulduar. But even on its own it sucks.
Hall of reflection is missing with tbe legendary run from the lich king because he is yo powerful yet
Violet hold I always felt was fun on regular random for dps it was a little bit more hard tanking it but it was a breeze to heal .
“Zygor!”
Close video.
I actually loved the Occulus. But sure, it was annoying when you got grouped with players who didn’t know how to think in 3D.
Halls of reflection: not fun. (The lore is great but the fight mechanic itself is just adds fight)
Onyxia lair: fun. (The nostalgia back in vanilla even though it's a short raid is fun in my opinion)
Ruby sanctum: idk, haven't done this. Maybe not fun like obsidian? It's the actual final raid of the expansion so that there's no content draught after ICC.
You played a very dangerous game with the "Ulduar - not fun". I very much agree with most of what you said. Though Drak'Tharon is my favorite Dungeon.
Pretty sure there were pitchforks being sharpened in the background the moment the words "not fun" were uttered 🤣
For me some or most dungeons or even the raids are.. mostly fun depending on the people you play with of course. haha.
Utgarde Keep is my favorite, prob because its the fastest one to clear imo.
Even today, I tried to avoid the Occulua. Aside for this and Azjol Neruv, I will say all other dungeon was fun, Forge of soul was one of my favorite with the nice music at the first boss,
I really love those Fun / Not Fun videos Bro and even if I don't agree on 1 or 2 choices I still enjoys it so much overall
Halls of Reflections, Onyxia`s lair and Ruby Sanctum. Where are they?
Did you forget hall's of reflection?
Feels like a list made by someone who looked on popular dungeons and made a video about it, because if you actually play the game, there is no way you would say culling of stratholme (first time its fine, but farming no way) and Draktharon keep is fun (4 bosses where 2 of which are mostly skipped because they are trash). Also Utgarde Keep last boss hard KEKW
Culling of Stratholme is just iconic though.
That brief moment when you see Ulduar: Not Fun and go EXCUSE?! only to see the reveal :P I'VE BEEN HAD
3:35 where are these cinematics from?
Wait, 0:20, this guy required "coordination and strategy"? I thought all you needed to do was face the boss away from the raid so they don't get hit by the shockwave and then dps him till he dead. :]
Agree with most but my not fun would probably only be the Tournament ones otherwise I enjoy them all.

Totally got me on Ulduar
a big hug nixx, from Brazil! ❤
Occulus was infamous in my mind for determining who was a moron and who wasn't. There is nothing difficult or hard to understand about it at all.

Trial of the Crusader has one very good thing, no trash. Trash is the worst and I wish other raids took that one aspect. Other than that its garbage.
Wait, what about hall's of reflection?
I really didn't care for Ulduar. It's actually the first time I un-subbed from Wow. I just kept thinking while I was there, "Why are we wasting our time here when we could be fighting the Lich King? Also I'm 100% convinced he runs some dungeons with his eyes closed to be lost or confused by any dungeons layout beyond vanilla lol.
You forgot Halls of Reflection, Forge of Souls, Onyxia Lair revamp and Ruby Sanctum.
OS3D is way more fun than Maly, Maly is a snoozefest.
I’d like Icecrown Citadel much more if some fights didn’t force you to sit through SO MUCH EXPOSITION before the pull. Those fights ruined an otherwise solid raid for me.
Meanwhile Ruby Sanctum is crying in a corner going "What about me?"
oh my gawwwwwd i forgot how much i loved wotlk
You might have a different opinion of Culling if you had to run a healer through it dozens of times to get that trinket.
You didn't talk about Halls of Reflection :
he mentioned forge, but not halls
@@BekindBekbek Right, I dunno why that one slipped my mind. But yeah, Halls hasn't been mentioned. :
Halls of Reflection was fun.

That Zygor add transition was smooth af not gonna lie lmao
do this but do it for their heroic plus variants
Ok never disagreed with one of the videos of this style so much. First of you missed a few but I will say my fun/not fun opinion in the same order as the video.
Utgarde Keep Not fun...its a long boring trash pack fight with endless stairs and unmemorable bosses.
Halls of Lightning Fun I agree with you here

Forge of Souls Not Fun It only has 2 bosses and it feels like endless trash between. The Bosses are so uninteresting that I don't even remember their names or Boss mechanics.

Pit of Saron Fun I agree with you here
Culling of Stratholme Well yeah...Fun i guess.

You completely forgot Halls of reflection here and it is not Fun. Sure the story is ok but the trash and boss fight makes this dungeon to the point you actually see only a corner for the first two bosses to fight the trash. And the escape of the lichking is just an endless trashfight.
9/16 are Not Fun and 7/16 are Fun
Naxxramas Fun I agree with you here
Obsidian Sanctum Fun It was the first Hardmode of all and this made the fight so much more interesting then before. For a One Boss Raid it's definately one of the best.
Vault of Archavon Not Fun....boring PvP Raids because bosses have to be easy enough that PvP players can beat them. It's uninteresting trash with more HP.

Onyxia's Lair (80) Not Fun You forgot this Raid and I understand why. The Raid is boring and was ever boring. So sure you would it forget.
Ruby Sanctum Fun That you forgot this raid is actually sad. It is a Fun raid with a really deadly hardmode version.
4/9 Not Fun 5/9 Fun
So the Final score is imo 13/25 Not Fun 12/25 Fun
Alot of it was fun. I burnt out on late game.
I guess Halls of Reflection and Ruby Sanctum were so bad that they didnt even make the video cut.
Naxxramas: fun
Obsidian sanctum: fun
Vault of Archavon: fun
Ulducancer: not fun
ToC: fun
ICC: fun
Ruby sanctum: fun
Halls of Reflection is tough to rate. Theming is 10/10, but the gauntlets during Falric/Marwyn are rather poor
You're right, but as a huge Warcraft 3 Fan I was so hyped that Falric and Marwyn show up again, haha
Halls of reflection?
Naxxramas is a raid too
As much as I like Ulduar I can only stand doing it for a month or so of raiding then I get bored. Oculus was so bad, that Blizzard offered more incentives for us to actually do it 😂.
So I was thinking maybe you take all fun raids and each boss as fun not fun?
I bailed on Occulus a lot lol
I agree with almost everything, but I would split Pit of Saron into two categories. Pit of Saron with a group who knows and does the mechanics and can interrupt? FUN! Pit of Saron with a bunch of Timewalking gogogogogo types who want to faceroll it and then ragequit the instant something goes wrong? NOT FUN!
COS is not fun! Its so tideious
Yo why you miss halls of reflection ruby sanctum and onyxia lair🥴
I just watch these videos to hear the tone in your voice when you say "fun" & "not fun" based upon ur liking to the dungeon.
Culling of strat.... fun? Are you high? The first time is fun but after that its so BORING and slow.
Thank you.
Imo every raid should be redone to level.
That would be pretty sweet
3.3.5a > ALL FUN
Oculus is annoying because you've spent all that time forging your character with unique skillset and build... Just for WoW to tell you: "Yeah you ain't using any of that in this"
il be honest i find the oculus fun but then agian i only play it once every blue moon, i can see how it would get annoying real fast if you were to spam the dungeons, also didnt they cut the entire last boss in cata or something? also fuck utgard pinnicle , the dragon boss is annoying as hell, and so is the last boss with his 8 year roleplay mid fight when he goes changeing his stance thing
Personally love Occulus and really dislike HOL
Ya obsi not fun and maly fun? That‘s a scandal!
I'm pretty sure Nixxiom could get a ton of views from a video where he just tries(fails) to pronounce as many characters and locations in WoW as he can.
Nixxxom gets paid by blizzard.
I wish! LOL
@@NixxiomOnRUclips OH SNAP I GOT A reply
I liked Wrath but its PvE (aside from ICC and PoS/FoS) was garbage
azul'nerub getting a not fun and ahn'ket getting a fun is so backwards for me. i fucking hate ahn'ket. and I love azjul. lol
I liked ahn'ket when it was new but once you had to grind dungeons it became one of my least favorite. But none of them are fun when you're grinding them for badges everyday.
Pit of Saron is absolutely NOT fun, probably my most hated dungeon in the entire expansion.
Zygor is still NOT fun ;)
